    [Sorry in advance for the long rant]

    This applies to maps, music, and most recently, podcasts. I can deal with the shortcomings of maps and music (even though I firmly believe I'll never completely recover from the loss of Genius Playlists. Why did that feature go away?)

    However, I'm an avid podcast listener and for the life of me, I can not understand the progression of this particular software? The podcast app worked poorly with user interaction before the last update but the issues were mostly just minor inconveniences. Then, somehow, Apple managed to make it even worse. The podcasts don't load properly, only a few of my subscriptions show up on the "What's Next" list (prominently displayed), and some of the commands are entirely counterintuitive.

    Yet the thing I find most annoying is if I pause a podcast for more than ~roughly~ 45 seconds and tap the quick play button on my AirPods, my phone will randomly start playing the last music album I was listening to? Even if the only app I have open is Apple podcasts. This particular thing feels the same to me as if I stubbed a toe; I just get instantly irritated at a faceless, inanimate thing. Like, I'm just trying to listen to a soothing bedtime story and I try to play it again (after an ad with sound effects like a woman screaming makes the podcast auto pause 😒) and I'm suddenly listening to some loud-ass ska. Like…?

    I genuinely thought it was impossible to convince me to move to Spotify, but Apple is driving the nail into their own coffin for me on the music and podcast front. So disappointed.. and confused! Has anyone else noticed this or something similar?

    Photos should not be named IMG_XXXX

    All photos that get saved to the photo album should have a proper timestamp appended to the filename.

    No apps in Appstore after Manual downgrade from ios 15 to 14.6 iPhone 7 Plus

    I manually downgraded trough iTunes (windows) and an ios 14.6 file my os but now i have the problem that no apps show in my appstore. I can still easily update my existing apps but all other apps are missing as if they dont exists. Any idea on how to fix this issue?

    App has access to Photos without allowing it?

    It is my understanding that an App has to ask for access to the photo library before it is allowed to read the photos. Why are there some apps, that can access the photos without asking? Wombo.ai for example: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1531396120

    Siri announcing caller broken?

    I updated to 14.6 a while back and it seems like the announcing caller function is bugged. If for example the number +31 6 12 34 56 78 called it user to be announced as "plus thirty-one, six, one two, three four, five six, seven eight. Ever since I updated it announces the following instead "plus thirty-one sixty billion, one billion, two million, three hundred thousand, fourty thousand, five thousand, six hundred, seventy, eight".

    Obviously this isn't very helpful lol. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

    First of all, I HATE these rollouts that are becoming more and more common. Like how Apple Music enabled lossless a few weeks back, where everyone seems to get access at different times for no apparent reason. I just passionately hate these kinds of launches and am so pissed they're becoming more common, not less.

    So that said, any YouTube Premium users get access to PiP yet? Seems strange that it's taking so long since they said it's rolling out "now" 3 days ago. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling, signing out and in, but nothing works.

    Yes I know it works in safari, but I don't like the browser version of YouTube for a number of reasons. I've been googling "YouTube iOS app PiP support" for literally years now, and it's killing me that now that's it supposedly here, it just won't get enabled for my account for some reason.

    And to the "lol why would you pay for YouTube" crowd, there are channels I like and want to support (they get more $ from premium views) and i don't want ads in the event they make it through my pi-hole (which is hit or miss with ads on streaming services) or if I'm on cellular.

    iCloud is saying I don't have storage when I do???

    Backups have been failing for like months now but I've only used 273.1MB/5GB on my phone. The only apps using iCloud is messages, photos, and notes. I've turned off every other app. There are also no previous backups that are taking up any space. I have ZERO clue as to why its doing this and I do not want to pay 4 bucks a month when I clearly still have storage??? What do i do??

    Photos App doens't show pictures , please help

    Hello everybody,

    i switched from Nextcloud to Apple Photos with iCloud. After uploading alle the images into my iCloud Folder in Windows, most of the photos are showing up in the iOS Photos App, but i am missing the pictures i previously made with the device (iPhone) and deleted it from it because i was using the upload to Nextcloud.

    These photos seem to be marked as 'have already been deleted on this device' and will automatically be synced from windows to the deleted folder on my iphone (if not older than 30 days) or won't show anywhere if older than 30 days

    Does somebody have an idea? thank you

    Passcode for other device issue

    My wife and I bought new iPhones and when I went to retire from iCloud backup it keeps asking for Passcode from other device. She doesn't use a passcode and the other device they show is her old phone(iPhone X) and there isn't a passcode on it. So now her phone won't backup until we enter that passcode. How can I get passed this if I don't know it, or how can I remove it from her Apple ID? TIA for the advice!

    I’m having issues with a boot looping iPhone

    My iPhone X is running iOS13 and it was at 63/64 gb for a few weeks and I'd often have to restart it to get it to function properly. And recently when I restarted it, it wouldn't turn back on and it would just keep boot-looping. I've recently gotten a new phone so I don't care about restoring functionality to the old phone, I just want to recover the data from it. I've tried hard resetting it, and updating it through iTunes but nothings worked. All I want to do is pull the data from it. Thanks!

    Is there a way I can lock myself out of apps during certain times of day?

    This is different from the screen time feature. Specifically I want to stop listening to podcasts and YouTube and such between 7:00-3:00 Monday-Thursday, and if I could lock myself out of Safari, Apple Podcasts, Audible etc during those hours it'd make things way easier. I was thinking of a timed safe but I t'd be good to still be able to answer texts or calls in an emergency.

    Is there a feature or app that can do this? Thanks very much!

    how do we know what things store in our device and what is on cloud, if there's anything?

    are there Apps that show us the percentage of space different things are taking up, have no space

    in icloud.com alot of it is "backups" - how do you know what kind of "backups" this is? it doesnt say

    [iPadOS 14/iOS 14] Is there any way to show new mail, sent to mailboxes via rules, in the unread folder and the badge count on the mail app?

    I have a few rules set up on icloud.com which sends emails from certain people into certain boxes. I have those boxes favourites on my iPad and iPhone, but I want to find a way to ensure the unread emails that come into the folders are also shown in the 'Unread' inbox, and that they count toward the unread badge count. A things stand, I cannot work out how to do this - they come up as alerts (banners, notification centre) but never show up in the Unread box or on the unread badge count. Is there any way around this? Been having this problem wince iOS 13, and it is still the same on my ios 15 running device as well.
