    PSA: WatchOS8 beta might cause your touchscreen to stop responding, hard reset won't change anything. My watch is now in service for downgrade to 7, hope it will help.

    I have AW5 LTE, which worked smoothly for about 2 weeks with WatchOS8 beta 1, but today suddenly the touchscreen stopped responding. I took some calls, and then a while later I found out that touching the screen does nothing (what is nice though is that I was still able to pay and to ask Siri for stuff - these functions are cleverly designed to work without touchscreen).

    I tried hard reset multiple times (hold both side buttons for 10+ seconds), but no help, erasing the watch from the iPhone didn't help either.

    iWant (Apple premium reseller in my city) told me that they have seen this happen multiple times with the WatchOS beta, and took it for a service restore to WatchOS 7. Hope it will help.

    (I installed the beta mainly to have a look at how Always-on mode works in WatchOS 8 (I love how timers or maps finally stay onscreen) and to try the new always-on APIs with the weather app I'm working on.)

    EDIT: Added mention that this is beta 1, to make it clear when new betas are released.

    Feature Request. “Warm up” in workouts!

    Looks like they've added "cool down" but not "warm up" they think we're just going into workouts cold?? I use "other" but that doesn't give insight. Better yet, why can't I just type in my workout?

    Open Water Swim Issues

    Hey all, I've been triathlon training and starting to do more open water practice swims. Yesterday, for the second time, I had my apple watch over my wetsuit and hit open water swim - it starts to count and I begin swimming - then realize when I finish or stop that it is paused and hasn't recorded any distance at all. Has anyone else had issue? Wondering if this is because it's not direct to my skin?

    I swim only freestyle.

    I'll be doing more trial and error but just wanted to see if I'm missing something.

    How to install apps on the watch without having them on my IPhone

    Hello,

    My question is that i'd like to know if it is possible to have some apps installed only on my watch (series 6 GPS) but not have them installed on my IPhone too. For example I tried last night to download Shazam on my watch but it automatically added it to my IPhone too (which I don't want cause I prefer to use something else for this on my phone), and when I deleted the app from my IPhone it also uninstalled it from my watch.

    Hi guys I just came back from my daily run and noticed that my new Apple Watch 6 GPS was not able to play music that I did download on the watch before. I added it to the watch memory within the watch app on my phone. Whenever I wanted to start a song - sometimes it did play a second - and from there on nothing …… now I even noticed the same problem with the iPhone around. When it's connected to the phone it does work 90% of the time tho. Shouldn't it also work without the phone nearby if the music has Been saved on the watch ?

    I cant download music to my Apple Watch Series 3 (gps) on spotify, is this possible?

    If I cant download music directly to the watch then Im just going to return it. I read online that all you have to do is click the 3 dots on the spotify iphone app but when I do there is no option to download to phone. Is this possible?e

    Can't swipe up!

    Seems like its since the latest update! & Its driving me crazy as I use this function all the time. I cannot swipe up to open the control panel. Other swipes intermittently do not work as well, so I turn my watch off & on, & off, & on.... ( I have also done a hard re-set)

    Kinda new to Apple Watches, and I can’t figure out why this watch is far cheaper buying from Curry’s, rather than Apple. Is there a difference between the two that I’m not seeing? Both are 44mm Aluminium, with a sports band.
