| iPhone not charging wirelessly when case is on Posted: 13 May 2021 01:00 PM PDT I have a Choetech 15W wireless phone charging stand for smartphones. It works perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ (even with a case on) yet with my new iPhone 12 Pro Max, it doesn't charge at all. The light on the dock just blinks. It works when the case is off, but I have two cases (one with and one without a metal circle on the back) and neither seem to work. Am I doing something wrong, or does the battery need a much more specific/higher power rating charger? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 13 May 2021 08:04 PM PDT I have an iPhone 8 plus and it got bent a little (like the meme) It's so slight that I didn't even notice it until I took my case off and set it down. The glass back cracked in a few places across but under my case. I'm not sure how long it's been like this or what caused it. No noticable issues other than physically. I can get a picture fairly soon. I have insurance so I'll go and get it replaced fairly soon, but how worried should I be using this? Obviously mostly worried about the battery [link] [comments]  |

Now, usually, a full restart of the phone fixes this error temporarily, ranging from a few hours to a few days, but every now and then, it tells me that my SIM has something wrong with it. Is my SIM card failing me? Is it fried? Or is there a way to fix this without needing to get a new phone soon? I have a lot of data/apps/pictures/contacts I don't wanna lose. [link] [comments]  |
| screen becomes blurry when camera is in use & won’t let me swipe Posted: 13 May 2021 06:30 PM PDT i have the iphone xr, completely updated, that i bought in august of 2019. when i open my camera, or snap, or any other app that uses the phone camera the screen becomes blurry and i can't tap anything. additionally, even when the camera is not in use, i can't exit any apps by swiping up; i have to use siri to open everything. i don't have any issues unlocking my phone by swiping up, nor am i unable to do most other things require a swiping motion like scrolling or zooming in/out. i tried to restart my phone to solve this, but of course, i need to "slide to power off" which i cannot. i've also noticed that my phone is acting similarly to when it's on 1% (i.e. lagging), although it's currently on 56% and plugged in; not sure if this is relevant but it's definitely noticeable. i'm also not sure if the issues of the blurry screen and of the inability to swipe are related to each other. i could wait until it but any explanation or advice would be much appreciated! I plan on buying an iPhone 12 Pro Max with Apple Card monthly installments. I plan on choosing the option that says "activate with any carrier later." When my phone is delivered to me, will I be able to use a MVNO such as Mint Mobile? I don't plan on using the major 4 carriers. If anyone has had experience regarding this, please let me know. | Quick Start data transfer not working Posted: 13 May 2021 02:31 PM PDT I'm trying to use Quick Start to transfer apps, data, setting (i.e., everything) from an old iPhone 5S to a slightly less old iPhone 6. Both are on iOS 12.5.3, so as I understand it I should be able to do a device-to-device data transfer. However, once I get Quick Start going, I'm not given the option to transfer directly phone-to-phone, only the option of restoring from iCloud or another backup. I suppose my guess would be that 12.5.3 is not recent enough to support device-to-device Quick Start, but everything I see online says that 12.4 or newer support it. | wifi completely disabled ? how to fix? Posted: 13 May 2021 10:20 AM PDT one day I opened up my iphone (6s) and pressed the wifi button, but it wouldn't turn blue. In fact, it had the usual diagonal line across stating it was turned off, but, it now had been completely greyed out as well. I looked at some videos and someone said try restarting phone. I did that, still no dice. I also looked to see if I needed to update software. Looks like there's a software update, but I can't update my phone because .. I need wifi in order to do that, which I'm not able to get now that it's completely greyed out and disabled. Has anyone else experienced this and fixed it or have any idea how I can fix this ? | Posted: 13 May 2021 10:18 AM PDT I got this iPhone 12 Pro just last Christmas, so it's only about 5 months old. This is the second time this happened this week. Both times, my phone randomly decided to turn off even though I had ~50% and ~70% battery charge. It would not respond when I tapped the screen or held down on the lock button. But when I held down the lock button and raise volume button simultaneously, it suddenly made an extremely loud noise that sounded like a toy ambulance siren, kinda like a short "WHOP". When I tried holding down the lock button and the decrease volume button, it made a slightly longer, ascending siren noise. It was definitely not an Amber Alert, and it was somehow several times louder than an Amber Alert. I could not turn it on no matter what I pressed; it just decided to turn on by itself a few minutes later. Any help? Edit: After searching online, I realized that the sound was the Emergency SOS sound; still not sure why my phone's randomly turning off. [link] [comments]  |

When the background is pure black and I go to another tab in an application with a lighter background (for example), then for a split second I see a faint red tint. In the place where there was a black background, a barely noticeable red tint appears for a moment and the color that should be in this place quickly appears (for example, a gray background). Another example... When I click on some kind of chat in the messenger, that is the effect. Before the chat window opens, a gray bar appears in the chat itself as a clicking effect, but before it a dull red color is visible for a moment Is this normal for OLED or is there something wrong? | Need help Getting my photos off an old iPhone 6 to my PC Posted: 13 May 2021 10:43 AM PDT Hi, I have an old iPhone 6 (which I'm not currently using) that has a little over 3000 photos on them, I have been trying to download them to my computer and add them to the rest of my collection but its turning out to be a lot harder than I imagined. I remember before, I would just plug it into the computer and I would be able get them off iTunes. When I do that now a message pops up and asks if I want to set this phone as a new phone or back up from a previous backup and those are the only two options that is given to me. When I go through the folders in the iPhone through explorer, they are divided into different folders, which is fine, but they add up about 2000 photos, so I'm missing about 1000 photos (camera roll as 3000+ photos on it) If anyone has any idea of a more efficient way of getting my photos I would greatly appreciate it. As has been the case with all my older iPhones none of my music I didn't get from apple transferred over. Plugged into my computer, dragged and drop the music I purchased elsewhere onto my phone but most of them are greyed out or don't transfer. A lot of my stuff is rips from different CDs and those CDs are long gone. I can play them on my Mac but they don't go to my phone. Help please Thanks [link] [comments]  |

I tried the same actions on friend's phones, like using a chat or opening a web page, and their iphone does not show any activity after closing the window. Activity means that the little circle between signal strength and time turns. It's been doing this already for quite a while now and makes me feel very insecure... Maybe my phone is hacked?
