    How to transfer photos from one MacBook to another?

    Hi all, trying to transfer photos from an old MBP to my M1. Tried migration assistant (for photos only) but it came up with nothing when I tried to open it on my new laptop. Manually moving the photos is taking forever (over 40k photos).

    Any tips?

    Ok so I need help, I tried downloading something on my computer then it shut down and restarted and for the past few weeks it's been restarting (it's been restarting since the second day I had it). I contacted the company on eBay that sold it to me, they told me "reinstall your os" they didn't tell me how so I looked it up, I tried command + r and everything, I even tried leaving my computer alone for a few days and then tried doing it again but it kept restarting, my computer only lets me in for a few seconds then shuts down then restarts again. I contacted the company again and they said "we told you to reinstall the os" I told them before and in the recent message I sent I that I don't know how. So can someone help me.

    Toggle between 2 specific chrome windows when more than 2+ chrome windows are open

    Hi all.

    On windows, if I opened like more than 2 chrome windows, with ALT+TAB clicks , it used to show the 2 recently used windows with each combo click of alt+tab.

    On mac, what is happening is that, the cmd+tilde (~) is going a full cycle of all open chrome windows.

    How can I switch between just 2 specific chrome windows even with 2+ chrome windows open on mac ?

    Resolution for MacBook Pro Vs. Air

    Hi guys, Is the resolution for the MacBook Pro 13" M1 the same as the MacBook Air 13" M1?

    I picked up the new air and I feel that at default resolution, the icons and folders look way too big.

    If I scale to a higher resolution, the text seems too small.

    I might be feeling this since I was using the 16" pro before this.

    Crossover unsupported apps

    Hello, I have a macbook air 8GB M1 and I want to run some apps for windows but those apps are unsupported by crossover, do you think it's gonna be a problem? What is the difference between supported and unsupported apps when you try to run them on crossover?

    Macbook Pro Early 2015 SSD Upgrade Battery Drain

    Hi,

    I've recently bought an SSD adapter for my base A1502 and a 1 TB Samsung Evo 970. After upgrade and setup, my battery is draining fast. It is in good condition (93%) with only 215 cycles. I get 8 hours on my old SSD with Mojave, however with the Samsung Evo 970, I only get 3.5 hours on a full charge (Catalina).

    Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? Any help is much appreciated.

    DVD burning won't finish on MacBook Pro 2012

    I have a MBPro 2012 running Catalina 10.15.7 and I'm trying to burn a 4GB video on a DVD-R, and it let's me do the whole process, until it finishes burning (with no message of completion). I then eject the DVD, and a message appears saying it cannot be ejected because some application is using it.

    That isn't the case according to task manager and log. But after the error message ejects the DVD anyway.

    When re-introducing the DVD, it just won't work, it opens the DVD for a split second, and then ejects the burned DVD again.

    Has this happened to anyone else? Any tips on how to do it in any other way? Maybe another software?

    the reason I'm asking is that I'm not sure Costco will accept it for return... there's a small thin scratch on the near the keyboard. about 3/4-inch, looks like someone's cat had scratched it... it was probably caused by my watch band.

    should I just go to Costco and see if they'll agree to take the defective Macbook Pro back even with that scratch? I can reproduce the screen problem, since it appears whenever the screen has been on for more than a minute. If they say no, then I can always just ship it to Apple?

    I recently bought an iPhone 11 and have been an Android user all my life. I am very happy with all the new features that I got, the high speed processor and chipset, the amazing apps developed for iOS, incredible camera and a lot of other things. I was never much of costumizing my cellphone anyway. I enjoy very much technology and have been considering getting a new MacBook to literally do everything, browse, watch videos, use email, work, everything. The only thing that I would still need a Windows is my desktop PC to use AutoCAD, Revit and stuff like that (I'm an architect) and obviously to play games. My sister has a MacBook Pro but I think it's from 2012 or 2013 and she doesn't know anything about technology, so she's not much of a help in that situation. When I google about people changing from Android to iOS the only result I get is the opposite. So can someone help with those following questions? Is it worth to start using Safari, iCloud, Apple Mail, ...? Is it worth buying a MacBook and what are the best features that combining with my iPhone I'll get? Best regards from Brasil 🇧🇷!!!
