| Posted: 14 May 2021 07:08 PM PDT Hello, I have a problem with my iPhone, to be more clearly, with my screen. My iPhone is new ( about a month ) it never fell down or did any damage to it. The problem is in the display, there are a lot of blue, red, green dots, looking like pixels on my screen and associates with dust, it changes the screen quality significantly. The phone isn't refurbished and there weren't made any changes to him ( like the screen to be changed and so on, it wasn't never opened ) Any ideas please? I would not like to refund it because my brother bought it from UK and I live in Romania. Could this be a software problem and not a hardware one? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 14 May 2021 11:07 PM PDT When I select screen recording from control center it shows a bubble that says "Not available when AirPlay, CarPlay, Restrictions, or screen mirroring is active." I've looked at screen mirroring, not on, airplay, CarPlay, not on still doesn't work. | Not getting text notifications on XR running 14.5.1 Posted: 14 May 2021 06:08 PM PDT My husband and I both have identical phones, running 14.5. He is not getting sound or vibration notifications of incoming iMessage or text messages and while it appears on his Lock Screen if he activates the screen, it doesn't light up/display on screen. I have tried everything I could find online to fix the problem, upgraded to 14.5.1 and reset all settings. The reset worked very briefly last night but it is now not working again (not sure what settings he has reapplied though). HELP!!! [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 14 May 2021 09:30 PM PDT my iphone 7 stopped charging out of nowhere - hadnt dropped it recently, no debris in the port, no water damage to the phone. It continued to turn on and work as normal until the last time i turned it off with about 4% battery. Took it to the apple store in my city (Melbourne) and they told me that my phone would never turn on again (he ran a test to see if he could put a current through the phone and it failed - i assume because the port he plugged the thing into is broken....) and that there was nothing that could be done to recover the data on it, and that it is not possible to replace the charging port. I want the photos that were on that phone pretty desperately and surely there is a physical hard drive within the phone that contains that information. I didnt back up much to the cloud because i put off upgrading the storage and wasnt expecting my phone to die out of nowhere. does anyone know if my phone is truly just dead or is there a way to recover data off of an iphone that wont turn on? it was working perfectly normally until the charging port stopped working. im extremely frustrated that the iphone is designed in this way so that only incidental things can be fixed and not major components of the phone. if anyone could point me in the right direction i would be very grateful [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 14 May 2021 09:29 PM PDT So basically I got a upgraded new iPhone but they activated it on the spot without warning me and I had to start using the phone before I could merge contacts or anything like that, and now I have new contacts in my phone but only some of my Old contacts got transferred over by iCloud - how can I merge them all? The problem is that I'm trying to download it on a new Apple ID to this phone since it didn't carry over in the direct transfer, and all it does is spin for a moment and then return to the cloud symbol. Can I get it replaced under warranty in your exp? I didn't drop it and I'm not sure what happened. It's really really tiny and I just noticed it in the light and ran my finger over it and realized it is a crack not a scratch. I got it in late April from ATT store bc I don't have an Apple Store in my town or anywhere near it. I googled and it says if there is no evidence of impact for a tiny crack they will fix it. Switching between apps is slower than before, response time within the apps is slower than before, battery is getting drained too quickly, keyboard is not opening sometimes, Settings menu is not showing all the apps when I open it but after seconds later, Wifi connection is not stable, especially with 5GHz. Anyone else encountered these issues? I did several restarts, but it didn't have any notable effect. Apart from restoring firmware from iTunes, is there any other to fix it? I also took GB5 scores. CPU Single Core score is 1336, Multi Core score is 3492, Compute score is 7455. [link] [comments]  |
| I cannot send messages or make calls to one person (iPhone 11) Posted: 14 May 2021 01:45 PM PDT For some reason, I cannot send iMessages nor SMS to only one person in my contacts. But, he can send me messages and make calls. When I try to answer the calls, the call fails, and when I try to text him back, he doesn't receive them. Something to note also is that even though he can send messages, it doesn't tell him whether or not the messages were delivered. The area where it's supposed to show that is blank. The same thing happens on my end too. I tried using the Apple ID that I have set up on my iPad. When I sent messages on my phone using the iPad's email, I was still unable see "delivered" on my phone, BUT I could see it on my iPad. When I signed out of that Apple ID on my phone, it went straight back to square one. This only happens with him. Everyone else that has iPhones, I can talk to perfectly fine. I've tried everything I could think of. I signed out of my Apple ID then signed back in, restarted my phone, restarted network settings, deleted our conversation, and deleted his contact. Neither of us have each other blocked. I'm not sure what to do, and it's driving me crazy. [link] [comments]  |

| Iphone crashed when opening some tiktok account Posted: 14 May 2021 12:52 PM PDT I have 12 pro max and was on tiktok going through comments and i wanted to open an account that posted a comment and then my phone produced a quiet buzzing noice and the screen was full of cubes( big pixel looking i don't know how to say it) and cubes were pink/violet/grey/white/green. Why this happened, is it possible that it was an account made just for this/ like the old sms that would crash iphone? My phone just turned off and back on by itself. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 14 May 2021 12:27 PM PDT basically my phones had water in it for a while and i never bothered to get it fixed cz i could live with it , so im sure thats the problem right there . anyways today i went to get my phone but the screen was just black , but everything was still working . i could play music , use siri , but the screen was just black . after fucking around with it for a while , trying hard resets , volume button reset , none of it was working , then i saw on some thread someone pointed a flahlight at their phone to see if they could see anything . i tried it , and i could see the phone was on , the display was working and so was the phone , but it was so fucking dim i could barely see shit . without the flashlight you couldnt tell if it was on or off . is there anything i can do to get it back or atleast save everything on there ? thanks [link] [comments]  |

It's completely functional and nothing is wrong except for the the screen being in weird colors and much darker. The apple store said that it will cost about $200 to fix. Is that reasonable for this damage? Also they are asking for my iPhone passcode, but I don't feel too good about that. Why do they need my passcode to fix hardware issues? Someone definitely took it because my manager was calling it over and over again but it got shut off and it was fully charged. My mom also deactivated the phone and Verizon put it on lost/theft prevention so the person was unable to turn it on. It's been a few days and I activated the phone and I'm waiting for them to turn it on so I can erase my information. Should I just give up and put it back on lost/theft prevention?
