    hey everyone, a friend of mine wants to play valorant on her macbook air (2015 edition) but unfortunately you can't play valorant on a macbook. we tried to use boot camp to get her a windows option, but she has little storage. her disk is full and 98 gb is taken by system when we check. what does this mean? how do we fix it? please, we have been trying for so incredibly long

    MacBook Pro m1 or 16 inch i7

    What's up everyone. I just recently purchased a 16gb MacBook Pro m1 with 2tb of storage but was recently thinking if I should return it and get the 16 inch i7?

    Basically I would be using the MacBook for basic university courses, browsing the internet, media etc. I won't be using heavy video editing software or anything of that sort.

    Would the 16 inch fan noise be that loud doing those basic tasks?

    I have been looing at the new M1 MBA and something occurred to me. I tend to use windows for my productivity such as word, power point, excel, out look, and teams. Because my school uses a microsoft based everything using the apple brand apps wont usually work so the micosoft ones are a must. Does anyone have experience with using these apps on the M1s, or really just any macbook? What was the performance like?

    2019 MacBook Air screen sometimes works

    Hi, I bought this from Costco in December 2019 and it was working fine until recently. Sometimes when I boot up my laptop, the keyboard lights up but the screen stays dim and doesn't display anything.

    I've been on call with Apple support multiple times but we never reached any kind of conclusion :( so I'll be going to Best Buy soon to hear their thoughts too but just curious if anyone else had this issue or knows how to fix it.

    I'm under Costco's warranty until December 2021 so am just trying to find a solution before then. Thanks!

    P.S. idk if this matters, but I usually leave my laptop on my desk, next to a window and have noticed that when it's colder than usual in our house (maybe low to mid 60F's?), it's more prone to act this way. No clue why though as I've been told that should be okay.

    Safari slower scrolling speed vs Google Chrome

    Hello,

    I just bought the new M1 Macbook air and I am thrilled with the speed and the way it works (I am coming from Windows)!

    I have wanted to use Safari after seeing how nice it looks. My problem is that it seems to be a bit slower on my mac than Google Chrome. Not really slow in terms of load times, but it has a slower scrolling speed, that's what I saw when I compared the two side by side. Has anyone else seen this? (I don't use any extension for safari)

    Should I get the MacBook Air?

    Hey yall. I have the 2015 MacBook Pro & haven't had any problems until I spilt a red-bull on it and now the keys are very, very sticky. I took it into the store and it'll be expensive to lift the entire keypad (??) and clean it.

    I'm thinking about upgrading to the MacBook Air that was released. It's a really good price for a college student like me.

    Is now a good time? Should I wait? Is something else dropping soon? I don't keep up with releases or anything so any advice would be appreciated!!!

    My Macbook won't turn on again after i (like an idiot) forced shutdown it while installing windows

    I'm using a 2015 Macbook Pro. After bootcam finished setting up Windows and rebooted into Windows to complete the installation, i have (very stupidly) forced shutdown my Macbook by holding the power button. It stayed dead since then. I'd be very grateful if someone can tell me how to fix this.

    English is not my first language, so if fou find my post hard te reai, please let me know.

    adblock plus no longer blocking youtube ads on safari

    ever since i updated my mba m1 adblock plus has stopped blocking youtube ads. i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, deactivating and reactivating in preferences, but nothing has fixed it.

    anyone have advice on how to get adblock plus to work how it used to? or any recommendations of other extensions that block youtube ads on safari?

    Someone with the INCASE ICON sleeve, do the magnets affect the MacBook M1 in any way? I'm struggling to find sleeves as protective as this one

    App Store keeps asking me to type in verification code after password, but I'm receiving no verification code.

    The title is the question. I only own a MacBook and whenever I try to log in to the App Store I get the message: "An Apple ID verification code is required to sign in. Type your password followed by the verification code shown on your other devices."

    I'm not sure what this means. If the message makes sense, shouldn't I have received a text message on my (Android) phone that's connected to my Apple ID?

    I'm able to log in to my Apple ID on the website perfectly fine. What am I supposed to do here?

    The OS that I'm using is Mavericks btw. Thanks!

    MacBook Air running poorly , processes won’t close and tabs opening

    I am not computer savvy but I think my MacBook Air has a virus because it has all these processes running in background and even force quit they won't close or pop right back up . Plus my internet browser will randomly get random tabs popping up for websites I didn't go to , and it just isn't running great . Do I pay someone to fix it or can I do it myself and what do I do

    Wifi Issue on my MacBook Pro 2019

    Hello, I am facing wifi connectivity issue on my MacBook for the last few days. I am not able to connect to my Wifi network. Every other device is working fine except my MacBook pro. Never had this issue before. It gets connected when I move very close to the router, but it gets disconnected as soon as I move away. It's annoying as hell.

    Things I tried:

    1. Reboot MacBook, router etc.
    2. Reset SMC (cmd+option+P+R while rebooting)
    3. Forgetting the wifi and reconnecting
    4. Running Wifi Diagnostics

    My assumption is that this might be a Hardware issue?? How should I debug??

    I am not able to go to an apple care rn because of the covid situation in my place. Is there something I can do right now?

    Pro 2017 or Air 2018?

    My budget has only allowed me to get a refurbished Macbook, and I've found a Pro 2017 and an Air 2018 for the same price. This question seems like it has an obvious answer (the Pro, which I'm already leaning towards) but more recent year, newer specs etc.

    I'll be mainly using it for online purposes, but I might occasionally video/photo edit.
