- Please help! I want to backup my phone but I don’t have enough space on iCloud. If I delete the backup I have from a month ago (tap “turn off and delete”) will it delete everything off my phone or is it safe? It’s bc I want to delete that one and make a new one. But I’m scared it will delete everyth

| Posted: 18 May 2021 07:38 PM PDT Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but my brother found a lost phone on the train. It's an iPhone XR. There is no sim inside the phone and it has a passcode. I can't return it to a carrier because like I said there's no sim and I can't go inside to find any contact to return the phone too because of the passcode. There are no notifications since the phone needs to be connected to wifi. I am not sure where to take the phone so that they can find the owner. Any help ? Note: this post isn't asking for any help to break into the phone. I want to know where I can take the phone where they may return it to the rightful owner. Thank you [link] [comments]  |

| iPhone 11 glitching wont stop facetime ringing, cant shut off or open apps Posted: 18 May 2021 06:11 PM PDT My iphone 11 is semi frozen, was facetiming my brother then he declined the call and now it wont stop ringing. He has no ringing on his end, i was able to open other apps for a sec but nothing stopped the ringing. i tried to force power off with the buttons and nothing worked, now i cant even open or close any apps. Even deleted the facetime app and still ringing. Its on 10% so might let it die since charging still works, but can anyone help? [link] [comments]  |

| Help accessing old text messages Posted: 18 May 2021 03:25 PM PDT I need help digging up some old text messages on my iPhone. These texts are a few years old, but I know they ARE still on my phone, because when I search for specific phrases in Messages, they do show up in the search results—I just can't get to them. When I click the arrow on the search results to jump to that part of the text thread, it just takes me to our most recent exchange. When I try to scroll all the way back through the thread, my phone eventually gets tired and stops loading before I get to it—same with my computer. But if they're still on there, there HAS to be a way to get to them right? Through iCloud or old backups or something? Thanks! [link] [comments]  |

I've wanted to unscrew the phone but turned out I needed the torx screwdriver so I bought it. | Earbuds making high-pitched noise Posted: 18 May 2021 01:03 PM PDT Today I plugged in my earbuds to listen to music, and they started making a high pitched sound. After a few seconds it stopped. I tried playing music again but the sound came from my iPhone speakers and not from my earbuds. When I unplugged them and plugged them back in, the sound came from the earbuds again. So if the company claims OEM and the 5c model, why are the prices different. Are some batteries better quality, like hold a better charge? So please bare with me. When she receives group texts, if she replies she gets an error that says "Not Delivered". Originally we thought it was the MVNO she was with at the time (Speedtalk Mobile). This was with her iphone 6s. She has since moved to an SE 2020, and is now using Tracfone (ATT), and she still has the same issue. Could it be something with the way her account is configured? I've looked through the phone settings, and it appears the phone has now locked to my sim card. The network provide lock previously said "No SIM restrictions". Now it says "SIM locked". I will receive texts hours/days/weeks late, sometimes they all come in at once, or sometimes they appear where they belong if I'm scrolling through old messages, sometimes they just don't come in at all. it's so frustrating and I never know what I might be missing! To make things worse my bf is stationed in Hawaii so it is our only communication (distance is not the issue because when I went to visit we tested it out and it still did it once!) If you want to play video with your cellular connection, change your selection in your video playback settings. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max, running on the most current iOS (14.5.1 I think 😬) I am not using cellular data, in fact, I have I turned off. Im using wi-if. Posted: 18 May 2021 10:55 AM PDT So when I'm using Spotify in my car, if I'm driving somewhere using my apple maps, the music tends to stop every few minutes, I have no idea why? Does anyone know what setting this may be? It's like the app doesn't close but it goes idle, like when you don't use it for a long time you open the app and it reloads it, I can't find anything in the options, is it maybe some kind of shake feature or something maybe? | Posted: 18 May 2021 06:43 AM PDT I searched up on how to put people on hold and it tells me to hold the mute button but it doesn't do shit all it does it either mutes me when I let go or nothing at all. Holding the mute button while on FaceTime does absolutely nothing and google it's stupid as fuck and never gives me an answer to the shit I search up so someone please explain why holding mute does nothing and doesn't put someone on hold.
