    Reading books on the iPad

    Does anybody here use their iPad to read books? I feel like reading on my iPad strains my eyes. I think I'm so used to reading from a physical book, Im finding it difficult to adapt to a screen. People who read on their iPads, do you have any tips? (I use an iPad Pro 2018)

    I usually use my ipad air 4 connected to the charger. Have any of you done this? I cant remember but i think i've read from somewhere that using it plugged will conserve the battery more in the long run. Any experience regarding this? Or should i just unplug it when it reaches 100%?

    Look because of pop up ads usually when you have a lot of tabs and you max out on the iPad if you choose to add another new tab it would have you would have to delete your old ones or sometimes if pop up ads would happen it might just delete the app tab that you had before for you but because it accidentally got deleted I want to know can you get it back

    How does using an iPad with MB with sidecar(wired) fare for drawing in macOS apps via Apple Pencil? Is it comparable to other graphic display tablets like Huion Wacom? Or is it bad? If it is as good as drawing in Procreate on an iPad, then I'll get a base model iPad with 16gb 1TB M1 MBP, if not then I have to compromise on computing experience and get an iPad Pro instead. What would you peeps suggest? What's better for digital drawing and general graphics design: A speced up iPad Pro or A M1 MBP plus base iPad combo? Cheers

    Math students: Which note-taking app(s) do you use?

    Hi,

    I am a junior math student, currently going through my first iPad ever (it is still in mail). If you are a math student, which app or apps do you think is the best for taking math notes, like geometry, differential equations, etc? I would also love if you could share ways which you use to learn memorize stuffs like flashcard apps or anything else? There is a lot of content on YouTube for medical students (which in my honest opinion requires more memorization), but there aren't a lot of videos for math majors. Someone told me you can't and you shouldn't memorize math. So, what do you think? And how do you study? How do you take notes? Do you prefer memorization techniques as useful for math?

    (Urgent) How to find a stolen iPad Air 4 with "Find My" disabled ? (iPadOS 14.3)

    Hey everyone,

    My S/O just lost her new iPad Air 4 I bought her a few months back.

    We're Apple aficionados so we're used to the Find My feature, but for whatever reason she did not activate it on the iPad (probably not on purpose, but we never double checked before).

    Now, she just told me her iPad was stolen in her bag in public transports around an hour ago. I stood calm until she told me it wasn't in the Find My app.

    Now I feel like we can't do anything anymore: can't locate it, can't set Lost mode, can't erase the data remotely. The only thing she can do is remove it from her Apple ID account, and give it up to that f*cker.

    It's an iPad Air 4 Wi-Fi (no cellular) running iPadOS 14.3. We have both the Serial Number and IMEI.

    She's on her way to report it to the police station. As it was in the tram, I believe it was caught on camera. We'll probably find out later.

    Do you have any idea of what we can do, except hope?

    What does removing it from the iCloud account do? Does it erase all the data as well?

    We're desperate, we need your help. Thank you!

    I feel like the iPad (specially the pros) need more desktop apps like Safari

    Honestly apple would have gotten more money from me with this. Right now I carry my sisters old 2015 MacBook Air and my 2018 iPad Pro with the originally Smart Keyboard for school because with Covid 19 some shit just isn't good on the iPad (mostly multitasking with google classroom and zoom). And it's such an inconvenience I'd rather carry the laptop and use my ipad as a virtual notebook for Physics Math and Hebrew (when I actually need to hand write). If we got desktop level stuff I would have bought the new keyboard and maybe even the M1 iPad Pro but as is neither are on my radar. However if we get Final Cut on the iPad at WWDC I might upgrade as an aspiring filmmaker with a video counselor job this summer that is extremely attractive.

    Using iPad AV Adapter for external Projector and AirPods at the same time possible?

    Hi guys, long time lurker here. :)

    I am planning a somewhat inpromptu-balcony-homecinema for summer nights.

    The basic idea is to use a projector coupled with an iPad. Since I don't want to disturb my neighbors, I figured it might be great to use Airpods/Beats headphones and couple two of those with the iPad, i.e. sharing the audio on two pairs of headphones.

    The question at hand is whether its possible to mirror the iPad screen via the Lightning AV Adapter to the HDMI input on the projector, while simultaneously putting the audio track out on the headphones.

    Does anyone know whether this works or not? I can't find proper info on that. I think it might work, but on the other hand the iPad might just output the Audio to the projector without any option to change that...?
