Posted: 11 May 2021 01:49 PM PDT I can't believe it I've owned this iPad for less than 24 hours, went to clean it as it was gathering some dust and somehow I seem to have scratched it to hell and back despite using a light microfibre cloth and some screen cleaner I've used on everything else from MacBook to Phone to TV and Monitors etc. I'm in disbelief I've done this really. I'm really hoping it's just the coating I've made a mess of as at least that's somewhat better and I can have a go at fixing it but I get the feeling it isn't, the only glimmer of hope is I can't feel any scratches anywhere at least. | Just Curious - Do you shutdown you iPad when done with it? Posted: 11 May 2021 10:18 AM PDT When ever I get a new iPad after I turn it on for the first time, I never turn it off. I always leave it asleep when I am not using it. Unless I reboot it or it accidentally runs out of batters because I forgot to charge it. Just curious what do others do, do you leave it sleeping, or do you power it off when you are done using it? Am I messing up the battery by leaving it on 24/7/365? | GPS/Map app to display MBTiles maps from USB stick? Posted: 11 May 2021 06:34 AM PDT I have the UK Ordnance Survey maps in a 240GB MBTiles database with multiple zoom levels. Can Redditers recommend an iPad app (Air 4) that can display the maps, along with the usual GPS and mapping functions? (Waypoints, route tracking etc..) Preferably something that doesn't bombard me with adverts or in-app purchase requests, or report every move I make back to their server. I would rather just pay up front. It must be able to work completely offline. On my Android phone that goes walkies with me I use AlpineQuest, but it's Android only. [link] [comments]  | ||

My issue is the same even with the files app from apple. When I open an excel file from dropbox in the excel iPad app and make changes to the file. Let's say I want to close the file without saving.. how can I do that?
