I have an Apple TV 5th gen, with eir (eir TV) Had several shows recording without any issue, tonight I went to watch something and when I went into the recorded series option, everything was blank. The series tabs show up but there are no episodes and it simply says SERIES RECORDING DISABLED. Posted: 18 May 2021 03:36 PM PDT I am using an Apple TV 4K (tvOS 14.5) which is hardwired into a router getting 1,000 Mbps down. Anything on Apple TV channels (Apple TV+, Paramount +, Showtime, etc.), take forever to load when resuming an episode or wanting to skip forward or back. It's almost like there is no internet connection. If I use Hulu, Netflix or any other app I have no issues loading content or skipping around. Has anyone else had any issues like this with the Apple TV app? It's only the tv app on my Apple TV. The tv app on iPhone, iPad or Mac runs extremely fast. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 18 May 2021 09:13 AM PDT I'm getting ready for delivery of my new ATV 4K to arrive. Looking at my power strip (surge protector) there is sadly only one open slot. The slot can fit a regular power plug, but I doubt there's enough room for a wall wart. | Apple TV 4K to 5.1 through an audio extractor Posted: 18 May 2021 10:47 AM PDT Seeing that Apple is going to raise the quality of the audio, I'm trying to find a solution to my problem. I have an old (but DTS compatible) 5.1 system. No HDMI inputs, only one optical. My PS4, connected via optical, gives a good surround effect. My AppleTV4K is currently connected to the tv via HDMI and the tv is connected to my audio system. The results are pretty bad (also, the PS4 used with the optical audio from the tv sounds bad too). Someday I'll buy another system, but until then I'd like to use an audio extractor. What's a good one? Thanks. [link] [comments]  | ||
