I know current Gen Apple TV 4K you have the option of using volume via IR or CEC so I'm guessing that stays the same with the volume and mute button on the new device. [link] [comments]  | ||

I'm waiting patiently because I don't want to upgrade my ATV4K to 14.5 because of my TV and how long it takes to bonk or searching for signals when I match frame rate so I like to keep it at 23.976hz so I don't have that issue. It will also be great to be able to set to 60.000hz which means the WWE Network app will finally be usable after the upgrade 2.0 version in 2019 to all content being 30.000fps. I had this problem with my Roku4, where it would play content when the TV was off, wasting data, bandwidth and electricity. | AppleTV original 4K and PS5 controller issues Posted: 16 May 2021 12:34 PM PDT Anyone able to play with multiple PS5 controllers and/or Xbox one controllers at the same time? First they all showed up and we're able to pair but they don't seem to stay connected well or really laggy. My friends and I tried to Steam link with 3xPS5 controllers and 1 Xbox controller. But the controllers wouldn't work and barely function when doing the controller mapping troubleshooting in Steam link. The only thing wireless were the controllers. PC and AppleTV are all 1G Ethernet connected. The Xbox controller didn't seem to suffer lag but ps5 did. Also tried only PS5 controllers. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Wireless Audio Sync w/ AirPlay device Posted: 16 May 2021 10:12 AM PDT I have a in-home audio system that will accept an AirPlay input from any compatible device on the network and output that signal to various zones, either single or grouped. Use case is to be sitting in my home office, which is on a dedicated zone, and output from the ATV to AirPlay and route that signal to my office zone. This works functionally, but the audio is delayed by about 2-3 seconds, probably due to signal processing, which makes sense. I ran the Wireless Audio Sync tool, but it plays the sync signals from the primary TV speakers, not the AirPlay output, so this feels useless for my scenario. Just confirming there is likely no way to sync the audio/video signals in this scenario. It looks like the tool is not focused on AirPlay sync? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 16 May 2021 05:58 AM PDT I am generally happy with the 4th gen AppleTV as I only have a 1080p TV, but the muddiness of Youtube video, even at 1080p, is horrible. It's almost as if it was a huge "screw you" towards me: the ads seem to be crystal clear, but regular Youtube video, more than half the time will be very muddy. This doesn't happen to me on my iPhone 12 or my Air M1, just the 4th gen Apple TV. Is there any fix? [link] [comments]  | ||
