(A police report was filed but they cannot do anything either). Apple is telling her there is nothing they can do. At this point my friend isn't even worried about recovering her apple ID. She just wants the hacker removed from accessing her information. Is there a way for the hacker to be removed? Or is there a way to shut the entire apple id down? Please let me know ! | Pairing XBox controller to iPad and Apple TV Posted: 08 May 2021 07:15 PM PDT Hi, I like playing Apple Arcade on my Apple TV but also use my iPad when the TV is in use or I'm out of the house. I have paired my XBox bluetooth controller to both devices and it works as expected. However, my issue is with switching. If I have been paired with the Apple TV, and later go to use my iPad, even though the controller shows up in the paired bluetooth devices I cannot connect to it. I need to delete it from the paired devices and repair it. If I go back to the TV, I again need to forget/delete and then repair the controller on the TV before I can use it. I know it only takes a few seconds, but is annoying enough that I'm considering getting another controller to not bother with it... Is there anyway to fix it? Or is this just expected behaviour? I'm not being paranoid. There is a "call & response" scenario at hand. My neighbors, people at Target, (all of whom are relative strangers whom I haven't had much interaction with besides a few) know things about me that would normally be absolutely private. I keep losing access to iCloud accounts, I've been in hundreds of situations that are statistically impossible. It's like a cross between hell, the Truman show, and a psychotic, mental-illness version of the office. Now my iPhone won't activate, I've paid for service but it won't work and I've run into several dead-ends. My stimulus has been regaled to an account that I don't recognize and according the the transcripts I've requested from the IRS, there is no record of my filing taxes this year. I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I'm scared. I'm a 35 year old woman who lives alone. There's been evidence of breaking & entering, items have gone missing, including important documentation of health records, clothing, and even half of my earrings (seriously-just one side of many pairs remain). Psychologically, this is really hard. I've lost a lot of myself, have lost trust in others and basically broke down several times. I'm not destroyed, but maybe I am? I don't know much about technology, or anything really. I'm not a smart person and I have a few developmental disabilities. This is coming to a point where not only do I not know how to ask for the right kind of help, I don't even know how to explain this properly. Can anyone help me at all? [link] [comments]  |

| High CPU Load, Slow Computer, Fans Loud, Brand New SSD Posted: 08 May 2021 10:14 PM PDT 2014 21.5 iMac I replaced the hard drive due to how slow the computer was performing and used a SSD instead but now there's more issues. Computer has become even more slower, fans run loud, and there's a high CPU load at 69.23% on system (Not sure if this is normal). I haven't installed anything on the SSD except the OS and I ran a diagnostic but came back with a SMC problem which the code was PFM006. Not sure what else to do, I'm about to reset the SMC to see if that works but I don't know what else to do if it doesn't work. All help is really appreciated! [link] [comments]  |

Noticed shift key wasn't working, was able to login but after trying to reset the computer, Suddenly qwertyuio are not working, but the spill was nowhere near these keys. I am unable to login to my computer because my password includes one of the unresponsive keys and I'm unable to do a PRAM reset because some of the keys for this do not work. Help? | Unable to get past ‘Add Data Plan’ screen on brand new iPhone. Posted: 08 May 2021 09:44 PM PDT I bought a brand new iPhone 12 today however it was 'second hand' and bought from another person as it was an unwanted upgrade from EE. Within the about settings it says it has no SIM restrictions on Network Provider Lock. I'm on latest iOS however I cannot get past the Add Data Plan option within 'Mobile Data' in settings. It says I need to manually enter a SM-DP+ address and activation code. I have an existing sim only contract with Voxi (Vodafone UK) and it won't recognise the SIM when I put it in the phone. | Iphone Unknown Recording Recently Posted: 08 May 2021 02:31 PM PDT Yesterday I got a system alert on my phone(Like the low battery alert) saying that someone had tried to access my Icloud account from Beijing and I should change my Icloud password. I immediately changed my password from my separate not linked windows computer on the Apple website and remotely logged out of Icloud. However today I started having issues with my camera and sometimes I would take a picture and it would freeze and go black and then restart the app. Pictures would not get saved and deleted ones would reappear or get randomly deleted. Then later today I got a message saying that null is using camera access to control connected cameras. I then noticed that when I swiped up to see the control center it said that "Unknown" last had access to my microphone. This only occurs when I use the camera app last. When I use any other app with camera control it tells me that the app had access to my camera. There is no green or orange dot on my screen except when an app is using the camera. When I open the camera app I get a green dot and when I switch between the modes (video, photo, square) the dot turns orange for a second and then goes back to green. When I close the app the green or orange dot changes to an orange dot for a second and goes away and when I swipe up the control center says Unkown last had access to my camera. This happens to me on a semi regular basis when downloading from github. I have created issues a couple of times but the developers have seemed puzzled. I guess it has to do with how these files are being generated on github? I have tried renaming .app, .dmg, .zip etc, also opening on terminal. If anyone know what to do about it either from my end and/or from the developer's end, then I will be able to fix it or even better share the solution. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 08 May 2021 06:10 PM PDT So, my mother bought an LED Cinema display monitor (2013?) and we then bought the most recent version of the iMac mini in order to make it a desktop computer. It has three USB-A ports on the back and a power cord as well as a three headed cord that have a USB-A port, a mini display port, and a magnetic adapter of some sort? I'm just trying to connect this monitor to the iMac mini to make it into my desktop at-home computer. I've been to two different Apple stores and each person I've talked to has no idea what I'm talking about and have sold me two different adapters that didn't work. I even had to explain to a Genius that I already had a mini display port and there was no point in me having a display port to HDMI adapter but she insisted that it would work. The seller listed that the back camera was damaged and the back and front glass were smashed. I had the intention to repair them. Today I was told from a local phone repair service that they could try and repair the back screen but it would be difficult to repair the camera. I then came across this youtube video while doing some research: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FY7DtKMBxBw&ab_channel=HughJeffreys (you cannot replace the iPhone camera without apple blocking it and limiting the usage of your device.) Anyways, I've contacted apple and I'm waiting to get the box to ship to them for them to hopefully repair. My question is if I didn't purchase the phone directly from Apple can I still get it fixed? I mean it's still an apple product and the IMEI/MEID is valid? I also don't have an apple warranty or anything like that. Thanks for the help! | Ipad mini 2 charging port broken? Posted: 08 May 2021 04:34 PM PDT I have an ipad mini 2 with me for like already 4+ years but recently it wont charge properly. It wont charge if i do not push the charging cable upwards the charging port. I already cleaned the charging port and nothing really came out, no lints or pieces of anything. Also tried different cables and it happens to all of them, now i do not know if there is a fix to this especially i dont have a warranty since this has been with me for a very long time.
