Scan2Clipboard - from paper to pages Posted: 30 May 2021 12:34 AM PDT Hi, please allow me to introduce my app to you this Sunday: Scan2Clipboard is one of those apps that you don't know exactly what you might need it for when you first read about it. But it's also an app you don't know how you ever got along without once you've been using it for a while. Scan2Clipboard does a job that is also missing from the current iOS version: automatically recognizing text from camera or photos and transferring them to the clipboard for further use. As expected, you are now thinking to yourself: Aha, why would I need that? So here are three quick examples: Probably there is a secret recipe for grandma's apple pie in your family, which was typed on a typewriter at least 50 years ago and has yellowed in the meantime? Of course you can take a photo or PDF of the recipe with your iPhone - if grandma allows it :-) But then, of course, this recording can no longer be edited. With Scan2Clipboard you scan the photo, the text automatically ends up in the clipboard and can then be inserted directly into other apps - also on the Mac e.g. in Pages. So you could then also reduce the amount of sugar a little in the recipe.... You read an interesting article in a magazine, at the end of it is an endless link with further information? But you don't want to typing it into your browser? Open Scan2Clipboard, scan, double-tap on the link and Safari opens directly. The same for phone numbers. Before typing it out, it's quickly scanned and pasted. If you now think about it, you will find many more ideas Scan2Clipboard would could help you. I tried to keep the complexity as low as possible. To make the functions more understandable for beginners, I opened a small YouTube channel with (a still growing number of) explanatory videos. Since transparency is very important to me and I programmed my app the way I would like my apps to be, Scan2Clipboard doesn't use ads or tracking APIs. The full features can be unlocked via inAppPurchase once ($1.99, with family sharing of course) and then that's it. Scan2Clipboard will never move to a subscription model. So all actions happen on the device, no data migrates to the cloud. What happens on the iPhone stays on the iPhone! I am especially proud of the button bar on the scan page :-) I would be very happy if you would share your feedback with me here https://apps.apple.com/de/app/scan2clipboard/id1553949321 Thank you Michael [link] [comments] | ||
