    Changing mouse scroll setting changes Trackpad settings.

    Despite being 2 separate settings, changing scroll direction in any of those settings also changes it in the other. This has been going on for a while now, seems like a pretty obvious issue.

    OneDrive RAM and CPU usage on M1 and Big Sur

    Hi there,

    I noticed some problems with OneDrive on Big Sur using an Intel MacBook. When it synced the files, the fans were on all the time and I guess at full speed. Performance was horrible and it could not be fixed. I guess that OneDrive on x86 just has its own very special relationship with macOS Big Sur.

    CPU

    I now use a new M1 Mac mini and I also installed OneDrive. I saw the CPU usage rise to 70% during the sync of the files. I then disabled every folder to be available in the system. That solved the CPU usage, since it now just is disabled in the background and I get CPU usage spikes whenever I open a document from OneDrive and it downloads that file. Same goes for the use of the "Previous Versions" function. But that spike is just at around 8% of the CPU usage.

    RAM

    Since the CPU problem is fixed, I noticed. That OneDrive constantly uses 500MB of Ram, even though I do not use any functions whatsoever.

    How is your RAM usage with OneDrive on the M1 Macs and is there a solution?

    300Gb occupied for what

    Hi, I have a problem with space on macOS, I have a total of 1TB drive and 600Gb for Mac and 300Gb For Windows with Bootcamp. The problem is that with MacOs I'm at the limit, that is, I still have some space but not enough to do certain things. The point is that going to see I have space occupied by a category called "Other" and I do not understand what it refers to. I've tried checking both with DaisyDisk (it says that the space occupied is called Hidden Space) and with the MacOs tool but I haven't found anything that can help me.     Following the suggested solution I could not solve the problem and now I do not know where to turn to find the solution. Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

    What to do with this new relocated item which appeared with update of 11.3 ?

    I updated my MacBook today to 11.3 and there is a file that appeared on my desktop called relocated items. In there there's a file called group.system_default in configuration\private\etc\ It's in Shared rather than my own user account folder

    What will I do with it?

    After applying a recent Safari update (v14.1), some websites goes into a short reload loop and ends with this error. The problem went away after I disabled Javascript in the preferences. Prior to this Safari update, Safari was browsing fine. Is anyone facing this issue? Any workarounds?

    Anyone else noticed that now you can unlock your phone while wearing a face mask with your unlocked Apple Watch that to unlock my iMac (I presume any desktop) that your iPhone must be unlocked for the unlock Mac with Watch feature to work? I'm running MacOS 11.3

    Macbook Pro 2016 won't detect brand new Samsung monitor via HDMI

    Please help me. The monitor is provided by my employer and I am trying to make it work with the MBP 2016. I've used an LG monitor before that worked seamlessly with this mac. The mac is currently on Big Sur v11.3.

    I am using PD 15 and have Win10 installed among others windows based app.

    Recently I upgraded MacOS to Big Sur and it killed access to PD 15.

    I upgrade my PD to 16 but it when i tried to run Win10, it crashes. Sending mac to reboot.

    How to fix this?

    Or should i uninstall the windows10 thru PD and will it also remove other previously install windows apps 'cleanly'?

    Is there a way to make my second result the default result on Safari? (classroom.google.com/u/1/ instead of classroom.google.com) Chrome has a feature where you can remove a result by clicking the X, but Safari doesn't seem to have this feature.

    Anyone else here notice Preview crashing with PDFs on 11.3?

    Preview was crashing on small PDFs every couple of minutes (seemed to be associated with searching) and at one point I needed to force quit at least 5 times over a 10 minute period before I ended up switching to a different task.

    Never had this happen with the same documents before updating.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

    I own MBP 2012 and I have removed the optical drive to install both HDD and SSD on my device. Since the eject key now is useless I wonder if I can remap it to do something else take a screenshot maybe or do anything I want.
