    WiFi Speed on FCC Speed test site?

    My iPad Pro is on my orbi 5g network. It tests at 220 MBs on the Speed test app. I tried the new FCC speed test and it clocks at 30 MB's. My iPhone 12 clocks at over 200 MBs on both tests. Can't figure out why the iPad Pro shows such a reduction on the FCC test. Any idea why that would be?

    iPad lost, has been pinging with its location but the lost status is still in pending

    I've set it 14 hours ago and since then the iPad has been updating its location.

    But the lost status is still in pending, so I assume it still hasn't received that message and won't show my phone and message.

    Is that what pending means?

    Anyone upgrading for the reason of having 5G?

    Not sure how everyone else feels, but I heard that the 5G in the iPad is a bit more powerful than in the iPhone 12. Is that true? I am on Verizon and so far its been a hit or miss.

    Virtual Keyboard?

    So i am using ipad 8 gen and while i was surfing through reddit i saw a picture of an ipad pro with virtual keyboard on and actually there is another line on top of the normal letters with numbers on it.I checked settings and searched subreddit about it and couldn't find anything.Is this a thing just for ipad pros?Or else how can i activate it?

    Tapping the Safari address/search bar with the Apple Pencil

    Has anyone else noticed that, when tapping the Safari address bar (given some site is loaded), with the Apple Pencil, the web address is instantly deselected, and the typing cursor jumps to the beginning of the address, causing any typed text, say for a search, to be appended to the beginning of the address, rather than replacing it.

    This does not happen when tapping the address bar with ones finger. The address is selected, and typing anything overwrites the entire thing, as expected.

    I may be wrong, but I believe this "bug" appeared with the addition of Scribble (which I have turned off by the way).

    I've sent a feedback to Apple, but who know if they even look at those.

    For video editing, how much better is a MacBook than an iPad?

    I'm trying to make a recommendation to someone who wants a laptop/tablet to edit videos for YouTube. They've been editing on their iPhone using kinemaster, and their videos are pretty simple. They're looking for a bigger screen.

    I think they can get by with an iPad 8 and something like Lumafusion, which cost a lot less than a MacBook. They prefer the touch screen to a keyboard, and probably won't put in the effort to learn shortcuts on a keyboard. However, when I recommend it they don't want to feel like they got an inferior product with the iPad.

    So I'm wondering, how much better exactly is the MacBook for video editing? I've never had a MacBook so I can't really say, I use Windows and don't edit videos. All I can say is I think the iPad 8 will get their job done at the least cost. Could one get by running a simple YouTube channel with the iPad 8?

    Any PDF reader for 1st gen iPad? iOS 5.1.1

    I have recently inherited an old 1st gen iPad. It can't be upgraded past iOS 5.1.1.

    I'd like to use it to view sheet music and turn pages with a bluetooth pedal.

    I've been trying for days, and haven't come up with any way to get any useful apps on the device. I keep finding lots of Apple forum posts all telling people to either try to install through an old version of iTunes (which doesn't work) or giving broken links to websites with lists of old apps.

    There are two things I wish I could do -- EITHER would be a victory:

    • Use the Kindle app (which I can't get installed) to view some of the music books I have in Kindle format.
    • Use ANY PDF reader that can turn pages using keyboard commands. (Apple's iBooks app can open PDFs, but can't turn pages without touching the screen. Even the original Apple keyboard doesn't do anything in iBooks)

    Help? Got an idea for a PDF viewer I can actually install in 5.1.1, or some other solution?
