| Posted: 02 Feb 2021 05:52 PM PST So just recently my iPhone updated its software by itself even though I had automatic updates switch off and it skipped the last two Because my iPhone 7 is older and just read a lot of battery issues with newer software. I had changed my settings around after several months of seeing what would work and what does not And was in a good place with the battery life but since they updated my phone (with setting off) to iOS 14.3 the drain is almost laughable and ridiculous is there anybody have any tips and should I update the iOS 14.4 ? | Battery draining slightly faster than before after updating to iOS 14.4 Posted: 02 Feb 2021 07:47 PM PST I'm experiencing constantly every night ( idle overnight ) of 6% of battery drain ever since I updated to the latest iOS 14.4. Before the update, I'm getting a "normal range" drain of 1-3% idle overnight. Even when I'm barely using the phone, occasionally picking the phone up to scroll Instagram ONLY, yet the battery percentage seems to drop slightly faster than before, I might be over-thinking this but I believe I'm not. I tried restarting my phone, closing the only 2 apps that is on my background, doesn't work nothing. I have all the typical stuff turned off, background refresh apps, mobile data, etc, and only having WiFi on all the time. I wonder what's causing the issue ? I checked battery usage and the highest being Instagram, but before the update, the highest is also Instagram, yet I don't see my battery drain as fast compared to now. My main issue is the overnight drain, which is a constant 6% drop every single night for a week. Anyone able to help or have any solutions ? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 02 Feb 2021 07:05 PM PST I have an IPhone XR running on 14.2. I purchased it around April 2020 from Sprint. It cracked when I was sleepwalking one night, not really sure how it happened. Whenever I use Spotify it randomly will start entering voice control rapidly on and off. I'll set it on a table and when it's not moving sometimes it will stop. It will also skip throughout songs, start songs over, or skip to other songs. It's very very annoying. I've gone through setting several times and used google to try and figure out how to turn off voice control and Siri in different places and it still enters voice control on its own. Please help! I took a screenshot and it was not part of the image so this likely might be a hardware issue. The screen itself is intact, no cracks, iphone is not water damaged. Any ideas of whats going on? Earlier today I was doing work, with my phone plugged into my pc and I grabbed it for a quick calculation and proceeded to set the back camera area under my chin and hold it there. Within 1 second I felt a burning sensation, same sensation like electric shock. I have a stubbly type neck hair going on. Could it be poking through the mic cover and hitting a charging line and causing me to be shocked? I also have a magnet phone case wallet. There are 2 magnets in the actual phone case itself that allow it to attach to the wallet portion. Could this be causing this issue aswell? It only happens when I have it plugged into my PC. Posted: 02 Feb 2021 10:58 AM PST So I bought my cousins phone fixed it but it has his icloud and fmi on this means when I wiped it it now has activation lock. They have the password. How can they remove it remotely because on find my iPhone the phone is not showing that it is connected to the internet even though it is. This means whatever they do it doesn't affect the phone. Or can they click one button to remove it? I have looked at apple's guide. It says e-reader the iPhone on find my iPhone and then when that is complete remove the phone for your account. | Posted: 02 Feb 2021 04:39 AM PST Upgrade 12 pro to 14.4. Before on 14.3 i would lose 2 % on average overnight whilst asleep. Now on 14.4 lose 8/10%. Phone always run on no backround app refresh etc, quite bare so only difference os upgrade to 14.4. Must be bug anyone else. Hope they fix in 14.5 was perfect before. Even my old 6s plus on 14.3 doesnt lose more than 2% overnight! [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 02 Feb 2021 09:21 AM PST Looking at the Battery Usage settings on my iPhone I am noticing that the Camera app is reporting daily random 'On screen' usage despite never being opened or used by myself. It reports usage even when all apps (such as WhatsApp) have been quit, and overnight when the device is completely idle. It almost always appears as '1m on screen' with either -% or very occasionally 'Camera audio' and between 20-30%. I have turned background activity off for all apps and refused access to the camera for all apps in Privacy settings. What could be the reason that the Camera is still reporting usage? But after iPhone 6 i always encountered the same issue. After like 1 year of usage it's so damn silent compared to other phones or iPhones from the same generation. I looked up and google like 100 times but there never was a solution for me. i cleaned my speakers, there was no visible dirt to begin with, i tried everything in the settings, from equalizer to other options I don't remember. My current model is iPhone 11 Pro (256gb), bought back in december of 2019. I barely can have a conversation through phone, in the beginning all was fine. Conversation or watching a youtube video in public is impossible. It never dropped hard, it doesn't have any damage, at least not visible, besides some scratches. I'm a big fan of video editing and have saved thousands of them to my phone, this is an iPhone 12 Pro, currently on Software version 14.3. When I switched from my old iPhone X to this phone I had lost exactly 347 videos, well this is where the problem is. They're not lost, they're on my phone, all of them, but I keep getting the same error when trying to play them "Unable to Load Video: Error occurred while uploading a higher quality version of this video." I've been trying to figure this out ever since I got this phone, which was the week of its release, I bought it at my local Telus (Canada) shop in the mall of my city. No matter what I do with my photo settings or iCloud I haven't fixed the issue. Some of these videos have been deleted from their original sources so they are unobtainable to get back, for the ones I can it'll take hours of my time. Any ideas or knowledge on how to fix this? My only idea left is to maybe upload them to my PC and see if I can then redownload them, as I still do have the videos, they just won't load at all. [link] [comments]  |

But with recent versions ,I am not sure exactly which one, my phone started to hang while connection public wifi. Either it has any captive login page or not not; it takes approximately 2 or 3 minutes to see any login page or connected. My Mac connect same wifi instantly. But my iPad suffers with the same problem. I think it is somehow related with "Private Address" feature but not sure. Do you have a suggestion? [link] [comments]  |
