When the screen came back on, all my notes were gone even in recently deleted . I don't have iCloud or email notes and no recent backup. I have 20gb free and I've hardly used the phone since then so I'm hoping the deleted data is still there. If I were to connect the phone to iTunes, is there a way to see the deleted notes? | Several issues, nothing coming up on diagnostic, warranty has run out Posted: 07 Feb 2021 07:56 PM PST Recently, just about over the last month, my iPhone X (running iOS 14.4), has started having multiple issues (with no apparent cause) and I'm not sure what do to. The first problem I have is Face ID. It started about a month ago. I noticed that it wasn't working to unlock my phone for about a day, so I restarted my phone. The issue continued so I figured I'd try to delete my existing face scan and retake it. When I went to retake it, it refused to scan. No matter how I held the phone (and I've tried it multiple times since then), it kept saying "move iPhone a little higher/lower." The second issue that started in the past month is my screen flashing. Every few minutes it will blink a very pale blue. It's so short that you could miss it easily, but it happens enough that its very annoying. Last issue is that AirDrop isn't working properly. It says "waiting" indefinitely. It blinks on the recipient's phone that I tried to airdrop something and never goes through. I turned airdrop on and off, but it didn't fix it. Tonight I contacted Apple Support. They had me run a diagnostic, which showed no hardware issues. They also had me test portrait mode using the front-facing camera, and I discovered that doesn't work either. I was told a mail in repair would be $549 out of warranty, as mine expired over a year ago, but I can't afford that right now. Any suggestions? Posted: 07 Feb 2021 07:56 PM PST It started with 14.3 and was an obvious issue that I saw was being addressed in Beta testing for this latest 14.4 release, but as of today I am still having issues with my iPhone X limiting my volume. Even after forgetting and properly labeling my bluetooth device as a Car Stereo, the problem persists, and from what I can gather there is nothing else I can do in settings. This is obviously *extremely* annoying. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue still? If so maybe the radio is the problem? | IPhone 8 slow and unresponsive? Posted: 07 Feb 2021 07:50 PM PST I got the iPhone 8 256gb model back in the summer of 2018. Since a few months ago my phone is so unresponsive. It takes maybe about 10 secs or long for touches to register and I get constant freezing. When before it was super fast. I only use basic apps. Google maps especially it because unresponsive or just goes crazy and goes everywhere. I have 6gb free and I plan on freeing up more space and my battery health is at 82% if that matters. The trouble is with my current laptop the camera's scratched and doesn't recognize them, would there be a way to use my phone (which picks up QR codes almost instantly) as a webcam to scan them? | Posted: 07 Feb 2021 10:20 AM PST Hello. So my phone dropped on its face, no cracks and no scratches. When I picked it up it said No Sim. I turned my phone off and turned it back on and it was fine. Then after 5 minutes it came back. Is there a way I can take my sim out because I've tried to take it out and it might seemed jammed. Whenever I turn my phone back on its fine but I am worried it will say no sim again. Anyone have any ideas on what to do? | Posted: 07 Feb 2021 06:07 PM PST Hi I recently (month ago) bought used iphone x now on ios 14.2 I'm second owner first had it for 2 years Screen was not cracked I noticed it had a ghost touch problem (first day I used it) and touch didn't work in the middle of the screen. I was about to go to authorized service but one day before screen cracked so they would not change my screen for free. Screen doesnt ghost touch at all when its cold (about 7*C or colder) Now (2weeks ago) touch works on whole screen but still randomly touches First day I got it it had ios 12 so I dfu installed 14.2 that didn't help Now I'm wondering is it possible that my screen is fine but it is something to do with motherboard? | Found a fix for safari rearranging tabs Posted: 07 Feb 2021 03:44 PM PST I found a fix for the safari automatically rearranging tabs "bug". To stop safari from rearranging tabs randomly, go to each tab and spam the tab menu option on the bottom right (the two boxes) and done for a while. Idk why, but this fixes it for those tabs. My guess is either this was an idea implemented to sort the tabs loosely by amount of times opened (which went wrong)... or there's a bug or leftover code that Apple isn't fixing for some reason which I cannot comprehend, since it's been around since iOS 13 or 12 I'm pretty sure [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 07 Feb 2021 01:25 PM PST Hey all, just started experiencing a strange issue on my iPhone 8 Plus today. It started out with the home button where it stopped clicking, then I noticed there was no vibration available at all (calls, notifications, etc.). Then I noticed there's no sound coming from the phone either. If I attempt to play music or YouTube videos, the video loads and will not play, it just sits there. The weird thing is if I hook up a Bluetooth device, the videos/music will play just fine with sound from my headphones, as soon as I disconnect BT it locks up. I also notice when I don't have the BT connected and I use the volume rocker it's super delayed, like 3-5 seconds for it to pop up or adjust the slider. Calls work as long as I DONT use speakerphone. As soon as I turn on speakerphone the phone freezes for 3-5 seconds, then I can't hear anything. Then if I turn it back off it will work immediately. Here's what I've tried: - Toggling various settings in sound/accessibility It was working fine this morning, then froze up when watching a video, restarted and now is doing this after it restarted. I checked the region and language settings of the iPhone and switched the language to English. I deleted every other language except English. I restarted the phone and its still in Spanish. So there is no trace of any Catalonian and everything's in English. It seems like theres no way to change the language. Theres no other suggestion on Google beside what Ive done, so...What do I do? Yes I know I'm an idiot, please don't rub in how stupid I was anymore than I already know. I have tried refreshing the notes app and restarting the phone. The notes are completely gone. I have stopped using the phone to maximize the chances the data is not overwritten. I am willing to use a data recovery program as long as it's not a shady company/Trojan horse/virus/malware. I prefer a free program if it's possible. but I am willing to pay a reasonable price. I need these notes but I don't have a ton of money now as I lost my job. [link] [comments]  |

I have had at least three people from comcast themself also tell me it's coming from inside network the fraud department said my phone was the direct target. I then got in contact with a guy who is a cyber computer forensic scientist which has cost me 400 dollars already. I can show all papers and everything you'd like to see. Also my main reason for posting is to see if anyone knows anything about what modem firm ware i should be running with the newest update because what i've read online tells me i'm running a jailbroke version. | Google Calendar not giving notifications Posted: 07 Feb 2021 09:34 AM PST When I create a Google Calendar event + reminder on my Mac (using Safari), I don't get a notification on my Google Calendar app on my iPhone. I do however get a notification on my Mac. When I create the event and then look at it on my phone, I do get a notification on my phone and Mac. It all syncs instantly and all notification settings seem to be in order, as I consistently receive notifications on my iPhone as long as I took a look at the event on my iPhone prior to the event starting time. | iPhone 6 stops working after water damage Posted: 07 Feb 2021 08:06 AM PST I've had this iPhone 6 for years now and it only started to have problems last year. This time it fell in the water, I removed the casing and let it dry and gave it the rice treatment in the morning. It started working 24 hours later, until a few hours later it overheated so much it could cause you a burn. I put it in a cold room next to me and slept it off. The next morning it was too cold, now it no longer opens. Does anyone have any idea on how I could still fix this? I couldn't head out cause of the current pandemic going on. [link] [comments]  |

This is annoying as every time I take a photo on Snapchat or camera, the shutter sound goes off.
