Apple Watch Seeing Double? |
- Seeing Double?
- Did you know you can set Watch Faces in shortcuts for different times of the day? I use a ‘sport’ face in the morning when I work out and a more ‘elegant’ face during the day. This is done through Shortcuts app. Just select the time of the day and the automation under Watch App.

- For the 1% of people wondering what the Black Unity band looks like on a Series 5 ceramic watch, here you go. (I tried to upload multiple shots but apparently this sub doesn’t allow multiple pictures in one post so)
- I love the California face with Arabic-Indic numerals. Looks great with the Pacific Green sport band. Really dig this combo!
- After years of debating. I finally decided to replace my beloved Apple Watch Series 0. Series 5 here I come!

- Series 6 44mm with the Milanese loop… I love this look, been rocking it since the 1st series, but the magnets in the band mess up the compass upgrade. It looks like I am going to have give up this look, and I am unhappy about it! Charcoal Braided loop is on the way smh

Watch saved me from Afib this weekend Posted: 09 Feb 2021 05:55 AM PST Hey All, las year I suffered an Afib episode for almost 5 days. By the end of day 5 I was barely waking and breathing. Couldn't see straight and couldn't keep a train of thought. I went to the ER after my wife realized I was not right. I couldn't decide or even think. After that episode I was recommended to get a watch that monitored my hart. I decided on the apple watch series 5. Love it. Really nice. But never actually did anything special on the heart front. I had a few palpitations here and there. But the watch never said anything else but Sinus Rhythm. So I ended up not even looking at it anymore, and was about to sell it just last week. Until last Friday night. I started feeling a few palpitations but like always, I ignored it since they go away in a few minuets and no harm. I was sitting watching a movie so no movement. Then, about 40 min or an hour later, my watch started giving me an alert of Afib. I really thought it was wrong. But it prompted me to perform an ECG and there it was Atrial Fibrillation. Over and over the same results. My hart rate was elevated at about 104 -121. I took my meds as always but thought it would pass. Next morning. It was the same. And I was feeling the shortness of breath and dizziness. The Watch kept prompting me of Afib and that I needed to contact medical help. I decided to head to the ER and sure enough they said I was in Afib. And thank god, in a state that it was still very controlable. The Dr said that it was smart to come in this time so soon cause we had a fast turnaround and didn't have to go into greater length to get it under control! In and out in under 4 hours. Last time it was a couple of days. So. This little device really saved me. Not only me, but my wife is much more at ease to see it actually is doing its job of taking care of me. Just thought I'd share in case someone is thinking about this or is looking for something to monitor you heart. [link] [comments]

My stand ring hasn’t worked since November 13th. How can i fix this? Posted: 09 Feb 2021 03:48 AM PST UPDATE: a quick google search says wrist detection has to be enabled for stand hours to work and i've had it disabled for a couple months so i'll turn it back on and see how it works. I'M VERY STUPID Exactly what it says in the title. My goal is 8 stand hours. The move and exercise rings go up but the stand is broken i guess. I'll admit since our second lockdown in October I've barely done any exercise but i've still stood a lot. I worked at a standing desk the past week and nothings changed. Has anyone else experienced this and how did you fix it? [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Feb 2021 08:16 AM PST Is it kinda like the iPhone 7? It's always weird when they keep an earlier version of something available and kill the newer one. Like you can still buy new S3's and S4's, but not the S5. And of course the S6 and SE are pushed. The 5 is available for a decent price and has some advantages over the SE, so I'm tempted to go for it, but I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing? Will it likely loose support faster? Does it have bad battery life? Are they superstitious of the number 5? [link] [comments]
Standing hour recording difficulties Posted: 09 Feb 2021 08:09 AM PST I'm frustrated because on several occasions, it seems much more difficult for my watch to record a standing hour than it should be. I have a Series 4. I have stood for upwards of 10-15 mins, doing tasks in the kitchen and walking around, only to see that is hasn't counted that hour, and I'll have this experience a few times a day. Sometimes, it will behave as usual, but sometimes, it's really hard to Has anyone else had this type of experience or know what may be happening? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Feb 2021 04:22 AM PST Hey guys. Anybody can suggest a nice Pedometer (step counter) app? I have tried like 20 of them and still not satisfied with any of them. All I want is so that complication work and is updated live, as well as I want to start step workout from my watch, setting steps and go. Closest I found is an app Called Steps. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/steps-activity-tracker/id708359518 There are workouts possible to start from the watch, and complications as well. The only problem I found is complication does not get updated. So I have to open it on watch then wait 5 - 10 sec for an update and only then I see my real step count. But I have noticed a similar problem with other apps I found, so not sure if that's some limitation from Apple itself, if so then I understand, still hoping somebody has a suggestion. Any input is appreciated. Thanks [link] [comments]
Stop sleep alarm but keep sleeping? Posted: 09 Feb 2021 08:07 AM PST Hello! Based on my experience, correct me if I'm wrong, but will stopping the sleep alarm (instead of snooze) stop sleep mode and mark you as awake? I ask because sometimes there are days where I don't get enough sleep and I just want to continue sleeping without the reoccurring alarm when pressing "snooze" I want 8 hours of sleep but if I press "stop" it counts me as awake for the rest of the day, and if I press "snooze" it rinds the alarm every 9 mins disturbing my sleep lol. Is this the current way it works? If so, how can I go about continue sleeping but keep my alarm off? Thanks for any pointers! [link] [comments]

When did FlickType change pricing models? Posted: 09 Feb 2021 07:45 AM PST All of the information I can find online references FlickType as being a one time purchase of $1.99, but when I went to pull the trigger, it's now free to download with a $6 in app purchase? When did this happen? [link] [comments]
