| Unable to play purchased or rented movies on Apple TV App Posted: 06 Feb 2021 03:54 AM PST Using on an iPhone XR. Never game me problems till yesterday after renting scary stories to tell in the dark when the movie wouldn't play. Since then I'm unable to play titles I already own, it just says unable to download on a cellular network even though I'm not trying to download the titles just play/stream them. I have cellular data turned on, my video quality at standard and I have sufficient signal to stream where I love but do not have WiFi. Curious as to why this problem occurred and any known fixes. | Posted: 06 Feb 2021 04:11 AM PST I got an ATV 4K yesterday. I have it plugged into a 65 in Samsung Q80T. I got it because my understanding is the 4K HDR picture might be slightly better coming out of the ATV vs the native apps on my TV. I also plan on getting a nice sound bar and want to make sure I have support for Dolby Atmos. I've been going back and forth from the apps on my TV to the ATV trying to compare the picture quality. And honestly I feel like the picture from the ATV is slightly worse. Also the sound is noticeably quieter when playing the same content through the ATV. I'm wondering if it's the HDMI cable I'm using. I had a Target gift card so I used it to buy a Philips HDMI cable. It says it's "Premium Certified" 18 GBPS, optimized for 4K UHD. Is there anything else I should be considering? I've gone through the settings and I'm almost certain I have it set up properly. [link] [comments]  |
| Should I upgrade from 4th gen 1080p to Apple TV 4K? Posted: 05 Feb 2021 08:41 AM PST I didn't even know it existed. We've been humming along just fine with our 4th gen 1080p model. I have a VIZIO P65-C1 and a hardwired ethernet connection for the Apple TV. I'd say a full 90% of our viewing is Netflix, Disney, and Amazon Prime. Is the jump from 4th gen to 5th gen going to be worth it for us? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 05 Feb 2021 10:26 PM PST I noticed that my up next doesn't update when I watch through my ATV 4K which is annoying but interestingly enough, if I start the episode from my iPad Pro, it correctly updates my up next on my ATV. It really doesn't make sense why watching through the ATV doesn't have any effect on episode progress. I've tried logging in and out of my iCloud account, restarting, unplugging it, making sure the apps are connected and set to "On". Pretty much everything short of a factory reset. Is anyone else experiencing issues with their up next not working and found a solution? [link] [comments]  |

And I can't control my HomeKit devices through Apple TV. In the right bar on Apple TV that appear my name, pause Apple TV option, Apple Music option, airplay and search button, I can't add HomeKit controls on this bar... Anyone can help me?
