| Posted: 10 Jan 2021 11:45 PM PST My airpods are highly defunctional from pretty much the first day I got them. From showing the wrong percentage of battery to not showing the battery at all while using them, they have their problems. But the weirdest one that happens is a weird zipping noise when I put them in my case. I don't know when or how it triggers, but when I put them in it starts the noise. The way it stops is I take them out then put them back in and it usually stops. Anybody else have this occur to them? [link] [comments]  |

| Need help getting messages and extended call log off iphone Posted: 10 Jan 2021 09:24 PM PST I need a spot of help from apple-savvy people - My friend recently asked me to help her get her imessages and extended call log off her iphone(6 or 7?). I don't really work with apple stuff and apparently the best the HR could offer her for a solution was "screenshot it or buy a software", which would take days on the one hand, and she's rightly worried about malware on the other. Is there a way/program to export imessages and call logs into a PDF she can turn over? WhatsApp was easy to export the chat logs, but if anyone knows of an easy way to get export the whatsapp call history I'd also love help with that...it's another app I don't use. This isn't a bypass post! she has all the login info for her appleID, I'm unsure if she's set up iCloud, but she doesn't have a mac laptop, so I'm not sure how helpful that will be. I'm just curious if I should backup my 7 Plus to iCloud and set up my new phone using that backup or should I use my iTunes backup on my iMac to set up my new phone? | iPhone XS ghost touch and touch disease help Posted: 10 Jan 2021 07:47 PM PST I'll be surprised if I can get this even typed out correctly. Just over a month ago my IPhone XS (iOS 14.4) Started typing and opening apps by itself. I've experienced this on a 6s but I replaced it immediately as it happened so I didn't really need to find help. But on a newer iPhone, I'm really not in the spot to just up and get another one. Anyway... After this issues persisted, a dead spot in the screen appeared, I can't touch anything at all, it's right where the "do you want to enable Face ID" and those sorts of yes or no questions pop up, so when that happens I have to restart the phone and not use any new apps. Since then I've noticed every few minutes the screen will get laggy when I scroll it too.. I've read it could be either a motherboard issue or a simple screen replacement could fix it. If so, I'm fine with getting the screen replaced. Yes it's been dropped before but the screen itself or body has zero damage. Always cases with a glass protector on it. I've completely reset the phone And reverted to earlier iOS versions and no fix. It's a hardware issue for sure. Any opinions on what this could be? Merry [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 10 Jan 2021 05:37 PM PST Hey all, So I just discovered this feature, and I got a Verizon esim to compensate for where the data is trash with T-Mobile (lots of places) and it is a lot better in many areas including my house!!! But there are still dead zones for both. I am wanting to get a prepaid ATT esim to see if it is overall better or if it helps with the dead zones. Can I have a 3rd line in my iPhone? Then when I got it fixed, the guy at the store told me the cameras don't work anymore, front and back. But when I got home and checked the camera again, it worked!! | iphone xs screen glitching out Posted: 10 Jan 2021 04:46 PM PST Any suggestions would be appreciated! I have an iphone XS, and for no apparent reason, the screen has been glitching out on me. I earlier noticed a few lines pop up on my screen, but they went away and went back to normal. Just now, I set down my phone and the screen displayed everything in a greenish color, and then went black. I've tried to shut it down, and I feel it vibrate when I press the volume and sleep button, but can't turn it off. It came back to normal after a little while, but only for a minute before going black again. Any ideas on what's wrong? Do I need to get it repaired? Unless the lighting is perfect, the back camera always makes me look like a cartoon character because the camera shows no sharpness. In good lighting the quality is great. I bought the iPhone 12 a few days ago after having an 8 for a couple years. While I'm generally satisfied, the back camera seems to be a DOWNGRADE in quality. I notice that when watching movies via iTunes, Disney+ or even when listening to music on Spotify the sound is more rich and as a lot more dimensions when having the AirPods connected to the iPad. It genuinely feels like being there at the concert on the iPad but not with the iPhone. The headtracking also does not seem to work on the iPhone but only on my iPad. I have poor wifi so i have to use my hotspot so my games on xbox are playable and i have been trying to connect my hotspot to my xbox and every time i do, it says theres no internet. | New iPhone 11 pro battery drains like crazy Posted: 10 Jan 2021 12:39 PM PST Hi there, I just bought a new iPhone 11 Pro 3 days ago, I received it on 30% battery and charged it to 80%. Apart from downloading Insta, Messenger and few other apps, I didn't use the phone at all. For 2 days of no usage, my battery fell from 80 to 60. Today when I decided to use it a bit more, mainly scrolling in social media, in the period of around 40 minutes the battery fell to 40%. Battery health shows 100% and I'm also stuck to iOS 13 and haven't updated to 14 as I've read that many ppl face battery issues and I certainly don't want any more. Do you think that the battery drain occurs because the phone is defective, or is it because it is new and needs some time to adjust? Any advice would be helpful! [link] [comments]  |

| How to find the password associated with a fingerprint login? Posted: 10 Jan 2021 08:30 AM PST I have an old iPhone 7 that has the login info for one of my accounts. I can log in with my fingerprint, but when I go to Keychain to see what the username and password are (so I can log in on other devices) none of the credentials work! This is the only reason I still have this phone, as I've upgraded to an iPhone 10 but can't log in to this one account. Posted: 10 Jan 2021 07:31 AM PST So I bought a cleaning spray for my iPhone and iPad because they get dirty often (especially the aluminum backs) and I wanted something to clean them easier. The can says it's an anti static glass cleaning foam and it says it's used for all glass surfaces of electronics and office equipment. Can this wipe off the oleophobic layer of my devices? I had an old Samsung that I would often swim with it and I remember that protection layer wearing off and it felt very annoying. [link] [comments]  |
