| Posted: 16 Jan 2021 08:06 PM PST So like I don't know what's wrong with my phone I get notifications but I only get them if someone double texts me and it really is troublesome for me because I don't usually just open my messages I only open them when I'm talking to someone and even then I usually like turn it off to set it down and so when people text me I don't get the notifications unless they double text does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? I looked up on how to delete apps and I found one on how to delete it. The instructions were clear go to the "App Library" and long press on a empty space, there would be a "X" to the top left corner of every app. The operation didn't go smooth because when I tried to pull of the operation the apps entered a jiggle phase and no "X". I went to set it up, and it seems like I'm not receiving texts or iMessages from anyone unless I've texted them first from my new phone. They'll still come through on my synced devices like my MacBook, but not the new phone. Would removing the SIM card from my old phone solve this? I have Verizon if that makes a difference. The mobile data is going and I also have a network. If someone calls me, the mailbox will start immediately. The SIM card works in other cell phones, which allows me to make calls. There's "remove app" and when you click that it removes it from your screen and moves it to the App Library. | Posted: 16 Jan 2021 10:57 AM PST I used to have it set up so I would have two keyboard languages, English being the main, and French was in the background. Swipe typing would usually do English all the time, but when I would start to swipe in French it would work just fine. I also believe that worked somehow by adding the language in settings, and then removing it. I never used to have the globe icon to change languages but swiping in French would still work. Then one day it just stopped working altogether and would only do English... Anyone know what to do to get it back? I've tried adding it and removing it again but that didn't work, I forget if that was the exact procedure or not. [link] [comments]  |

| Trouble with iPhone 12 notifications Posted: 16 Jan 2021 10:36 AM PST Hi everybody, I have recently bought an iPhone 12 Pro (my first Apple phone), and I'm having a hard time setting the notifications. By now the only thing I managed to have is vibration + ringtone for everything in ring mode, and total silence and no vibration for everything in silent mode. Also my Apple Watch SE never vibrates for anything even if it shows every notification regularly, but I think that will solve itself once I solved the phone problem. Is there anyone who could help me? I've been trying for almost 3 hours but I can't manage to get it done. | iPhone 7 battery draining quickly Posted: 16 Jan 2021 01:52 PM PST I got an iPhone 7 this summer from a repair shop (obviously not the newest model and it's used, but I was told the battery was brand new). Over the past couple months I've noticed that listening to Spotify for an hour or so while commuting sometimes drains up to 30% after being fully charged and this was not an issue before. I updated to iOS 14.3 a couple days ago and ever since, if the battery goes below 50%, it drains about 1% per minute even if I'm not touching it. If the battery % is high, using basic apps can drain it pretty quickly too (although not as fast as if it's below 50%). My brightness is low, I've set time and date to set automatically, I've turned off background app refresh, and I usually keep it on low battery mode. Battery health says it's at 87%. Anyone have any other battery-saving tricks that could help, or is it just time to stop relying on old iPhone models? [link] [comments]  |

It was working just fine and on the other day it just didn't work. I tried force reset, recovery, dfu recovery nothing helped. Posted: 16 Jan 2021 07:38 AM PST So around 7 years ago I got my first iPhone, I must say I really don't like dealing with computer stuff and i also didn't have any experience with Apple at the time. I created an iTunes account as I was told by the direction written in the box and made the iPhone work and everything was fine. Then a year later my best friend (same dislike for computers, but stronger) got an iPhone and I thought „ah ok well I already have an account so why should he bother to create a new one", gave him my details and he made his phone work as well. For a while everything was fine but then something with the settings went crazy and I started getting messages from his friends and also his messages, and pictures and apps.... you can imagine the mess... the iCloud is connected... we somehow managed to get it back to „normal" but ever since, we plan to finally fix this terrible thing, but we don't know how and we push it all the time. He can read all my very private notes apparently (I didn't know and used it as a diary), and probably all our photos are somehow somewhere got all mixed up in the cloud and it's all a huge mess. Is there a way to fix it? Without deleting one of our phones? TL;DR I shared my apple username with my BFF 7years ago and now we're stuck with everything mixed and messy [link] [comments]  |
