Posted: 03 Jan 2021 09:23 AM PST I tried exporting my study notes that's already in image file format to many available apps such as (One Note, Bear, Notion, Notebook) and none of them worked well for editing my image format notes using the pencil though these apps are majorly designed for "taking notes only". So is Apple Books which is developed only for reading purposes and surprisingly I came to know about other additional perks of this app where it could convert an image file into a readable book in seconds with simplistic gorgeous design interface. Each and every apps out there had it's own flaw except for the "Apple Books" that worked like a charm. Let me know if you guys have had any good experience with Apple Books and is there any other app that is worth considering? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Jan 2021 01:54 AM PST Sorry for the rather begging nature of this. As I described in the title, my mum who has bad eyesight due to a degenerative disease (a rather slow one, thankfully) recently got an iPad as she was finding her Motorola/Android phone too small to see properly. I work in IT as a system admin so I like to think I'm pretty "good with computers" but it's Windows and Android/Chrome OS both at work and home so my exposure to Macs and iOS is minimal. Anyway, sorry for the preamble, there are two areas that we're finding difficult that I'm hoping can be solved: 1) WhatsApp. She uses WhatsApp a lot and the lack of an official iPad app meant I set her up with a web.whatsapp.com tab in her Chrome browser. However it seems to need reauthentication really quickly, sometimes within a couple of minutes. This involves getting her phone out and scanning a QR code etc which at the age of 78 is a bit too fiddly. How do other people deal with this? Are there any trustworthy apps that help with accessing WhatsApp on iPads? 2) Remote access. I would love to be able to remotely access and control her iPad but from what I've found only remote viewing seems possible... Is this right? Thanks for sticking with this. [link] [comments]

Is there a way to install Apple Fonts on iPad? Posted: 03 Jan 2021 11:23 AM PST I have a document that uses Apple Fonts. Everytime I open it on Pages on my iPad, it shows me a disclaimer that tells it has missing fonts. I know I can install fonts on iPadOS through a profile but how does it work for Apple Fonts? Posted: 03 Jan 2021 08:55 AM PST I tried an Apple 5W USB-A charger, Apple 12W USB-A charger, and Aukey 100W USB-C charger, and all charged the Apple Pencil extremely slowly... like 1% every couple minutes compared to around 6% per minute when plugged in to an iPad. I'm wondering if that's normal or if my adapter is defective. [link] [comments]

So I bought an iPad 8th Gen and I honestly love it. Posted: 02 Jan 2021 05:21 PM PST Title says it all. I have had this iPad for a day now and I honestly love it. Just got a case (OB Defender Pro) and the Logitech Crayon (Alt to Apple Pencil 1st Gen) to do some drawings and stuff while I'm at work. I used this iPad nonstop and Apple did a very nice job with this device. [link] [comments]
Any way to access Google Chrome with extensions? Posted: 03 Jan 2021 10:08 AM PST Hi All - I need to use a couple of Google Chrome plugins which - unfortunately - I can't do via the iPad OS native app. What are the easiest ways to get access to a desktop version of Chrome? Is there a way to 'rent a desktop' or similar which I can control somehow from the iPad? I attempted a virtual machine to my old MBP but it was not smooth enough to be any use. Might be the age of my MacBook however (2010) [link] [comments] |
