    Apple TV confuses “channels” from two providers.

    I have BritBox through the Apple TV App and Acorn through Amazon Prime.

    Both of these "channels" are available on both providers. However, "Up Next" is often confused with random episodes requiring "Open in" or "Subscribe". It's really annoying.

    Anyone else?

    I have purchased several TV shows on iTunes. They all play just fine in the Apple TV app for iOS, tvOS, and macOS.

    Except for The Office: The Complete Series. When I click an episode (through search or Now Playing), the video player opens and immediately crashes.

    I've called Apple Support twice now, and they've escalated it to an email, and I've never heard back.

    Do you know why I can't play my purchase in the macOS Apple TV app?

    Note: I purchased some random episodes of The Office before buying The Complete Series, if that matters.

    Youtube TV not in 4K on Apple TV 4K

    Hi all,

    I just finished setting up our new Apple TV 4K. I installed all our apps, logged in, set it all up for the kid, all seems great so far.

    But then I fired up a show on YouTube TV. It's our main live TV service.

    The shows are definitely in 1080 only.

    Am I missing a setting I need to toggle somewhere? I'm still quite new to Apple TV.

    Edit: my ATV is set to 4K SDR with matching set to on for both.

    ATV 4K HDMI cable specs?

    While I am waiting for my replacement replacement 4K, I decided to upgrade my HDMI (if needed). I have 'regular' HDMI cables right now. A coworker told me I should be using a "high speed" HDMI cable. Is this correct or marketing BS? If correct, what specs should I be looking for?

    Netflix Issue

    I'm completely at a loss of what to do at this point as searching the internet has been unhelpful.

    I'm posting this under the Appletv sub as well as Netflix.

    I'm consistently getting an error every 10 minutes or so on Netflix. It's error 10800.

    According to what I've read online it's just a generic network issue.

    I have reset my appletv, I have unplugged it, I have factory reset it, I have reinstalled the Netflix app, I have tried wifi or Ethernet (I get 750 Mbps down and the Apple TV is sitting directly next to the router), I have tried an automatic DNS, I have tried a manual DNS, no other app struggles on the Apple TV, Netflix works great on every other device in the house but for the love of god I want it to work on Apple TV as that's my primary source in my theater room.

    Does anyone know what's going on with this error code or any troubleshoots?

    No Sound - Have to kill power - Apple TV 4K

    Randomly my Apple TV will output no sound at all. The only way to fix it I have found is kill power to the Apple TV. Once everything reboots sound is all good. ANY ideas? This is driving me nuts.

    My suspicion is that this happens when the Apple TV puts itself to sleep after no use but I haven't confirmed.

    Apple TV 4K upscaling vs native TV

    I just got a Hisense 55Q9G from Costco and also an ATV 4K for Christmas. I know the ATV is one of the best upscalers out there based on reviews that are few years old now, so I'm curious how it compares to the native Hisense TV upscaling? Is it still a better 4K up scaling than newer TVs?

    Primary content would be 1080p Netflix, Crave and Prime.

    Does the 64GB version improve buffering of large 4K content?

    Or is the additional storage just used for apps and stuff?

    Found conflicting info from googling.

    One of my major gripes with the non-4K device is that it never seems to SAVE anything, i.e. you can't just let the video rest on pause and then depend on the rest of the video being cached in the meantine. It only seems to stream data when you actually press play. Is that still the case for the 4K model?

    Can't wirelessly connect to Xcode

    Having difficulty wirelessly connecting my apple 4K TV to Xcode on my mac. They find each other, I pair them, but I can't go any further. I can't select it to install anything. When I click on the plus button to try and add it that way, my mac says to tap "trust" on my device to continue, which I obviously can't do.

    Any suggestions? Thanks

    No way to access Bonus Features on FireTv & PS5?

    So Im kinda new to apple. I got a iPad Air. And my wife got a iPhone.

    Is there no way to access Bonus features that come with movies through the 4K Firetv Stick and PS5? And obviously it's impossible to access alternative cuts and directors commentaries?

    That actually sounds so ridiculous but it's apple.. so it's probably limited to apple hardware?
