    I love my new iPad Pro 12.9, but I am interested in locking the screen without clicking the power button. My wifey uses it as a recipe book in a nice stand, but if it is charging, the iPad is upside down and the button is inaccessible without physically moving the iPad.

    I swiped down from the left corner, thinking it would lock the screen, but simply stayed on an unlocked notifications screen. I wouldn't mind swiping down on the right for the control center and add an icon next to my flashlight and camera, but that doesn't seem an option.

    I know accessibility options are there and I can make an artificial button to push to lock the screen, but was hoping for something without taking up screen real estate. I see hot corners / edges are there but I didn't really understand it.

    How are you guys locking the screen without clicking buttons in the new iOS 14?

    Looking for similar app (habituation app)

    I hope this is the right place to ask this. I have an iphone, but I assume this question can be for other types of phones, too.

    My Japanese friend is using this app, みんチャレ: https://minchalle.com/

    I really like the concept of it-- it's a habituation app that keeps you accountable of whatever "challenge" you decide on by interacting with a group of people who are also attempting the same challenge. You can update each other on your progress, share things to the group, etc.

    My friend is learning Italian so she has a challenge group of other people who are learning Italian and they keep each other motivated, etc. using the app.

    Is there a similar app to this? Like a habit tracking + fourm/chat app, or something?

    Couple days ago , my battery was going vrrrrr whenever the brightness is at max level (-40% in 12 min) tried a reboot, restore but none fixed the issue, the only solution was to upgrade to iOS 14.4 beta 2, so if anyone got this issue, you might as well do the upgrade as 14.2 is no longer available.

    Anyway I can recover screen recording audio which was taken when the screen recording microphone thingie was off??

    So I came to know just now why a certain screen recording doesn't have audio in it because of that hidden microphone option thing that you get when you long press, now what I screen recorded was fairly important so is there anyway to recover the audio???

    Family Share Reminders

    Hello -

    Looking for some help here as the normally reliable Apple Support chat that I just dealt with did not resolve my issue. So, I saw on a YouTube video of a guy doing a walkthrough of the Reminders app & he stated that when you have Family Sharing enabled, it will auto populate a "Family" list in the Reminders app. I cannot get this to auto populate no matter what I try. I've removed my family members & re-added them, we all have iCloud & Reminders enabled in the settings as well. Now, I know that I can easily create a Family Reminder list & then share it but I'd rather just have the auto populated. Anybody else familiar with this issue & if so, what worked?

    [iOS 14.3 | iPhone 7 Plus] Files app broken after update.

    Tried restarting the phone, but doesn't fix. The app, on opening, opens a file in which when we press the back button or the share button, nothing happens and the screen is blank like this. Wanted to delete the app and download it again but just wanted to know, will doing this delete my "On my iPhone" files also?

    Home Screen/App Library child locks

    'Screen Time' could previously prevent a child from deleting an app on the home screen. This does not seem fool proof anymore, as apps can be removed from the home screen and 'deleted' to the new much more hidden 'app library'. No setting to lock the home screen in Screen Time in order to avoid 'home screen deletion'?

    So around 7 years ago I got my first iPhone, I must say I really don't like dealing with computer stuff and i also didn't have any experience with Apple at the time. I created an iTunes account as I was told by the direction written in the box and made the iPhone work and everything was fine. Then a year later my best friend (same dislike for computers, but stronger) got an iPhone and I thought „ah ok well I already have an account so why should he bother to create a new one", gave him my details and he made his phone work as well. For a while everything was fine but then something with the settings went crazy and I started getting messages from his friends and also his messages, and pictures and apps.... you can imagine the mess... the iCloud is connected... we somehow managed to get it back to „normal" but ever since, we plan to finally fix this terrible thing, but we don't know how and we push it all the time. He can read all my very private notes apparently (I didn't know and used it as a diary), and probably all our photos are somehow somewhere got all mixed up in the cloud and it's all a huge mess. Is there a way to fix it? Without deleting one of our phones?

    TL;DR I shared my apple username with my BFF 7years ago and now we're stuck with everything mixed and messy

    iOS 14 control center home shortcuts not working

    New iPhone user here. I have two Eufy cameras added to my Home app. They are included in my favorites. However, the control center still shows the default message "add accessories or scenes" message. What am I missing?

    Find my friends isn't working?

    Find my friends isn't working... I cannot see my friends location, but she can see mine. When she selects my number to share location, it says "This phone number does not appear to be associated with an iPhone"? We're both on the same iOS version.

    I've switched on all location services and number is added to iCloud - she has also.

    Any suggestions?

    Screen Time bug?

    I recently made the transition to using downtime so I can focus more during the semester. But I also curated my Always Allowed list so I won't miss essential notifications. For some reason the Always Allowed has i created has completely disappeared and I've had to set time limits in the individual apps(downtime is on). Has anybody else experienced this?

    I'm running IOS 13.3 on an iPhone7 Plus

    I just realized that any app I launch now slides in from the right instead of opening from the icon. Seems very different( Running IOS 14.2 on iPhone X)
