    I shipped my iPhone X to get a battery change and received the box to send it to them. I shipped it back to them on Dec 21. FedEx has it delivered to their repair center the day after. I contacted Apple about it and they said it is at the center but it hasn't checked in. Did I screw myself over shipping the phone over the holiday season on top of Covid? It's been two weeks since I shipped it.

    Applications not working after I delete de disk image or after restart

    Hi! So I recently upgraded to Big Sur, and after the update If I download firefox but delete the disk image, Firefox stops working, a bit ? mark appears on the icon. Same happens if I restart the computer and the disk image is removed automatically.

    Not sure where to ask.. Parallels & Win10Pro nic issue

    Sorry if this is not the right place but I found no sub for Parallels specifically. I installed WIn10 Pro today and it dod not find nic drivers.. I'm also unable to find any soft of download for them like you can with Vmware, or KVM.

    Anyone know where I might have messed up?

    iphone 11 didnt transfer all photos

    when i did the iphone transfer that was directly from my iphone X it didn't transfer all my photos. both of my phones have ios 14 so i cant really think of what else could be wrong. before this, the transfer didnt even finish. it was loading for at least an hour and probably more. it said it was waiting for a software update even though it was already updated so i had just canceled the transfer. everything transferred except all my photos. i would love some help. thank you!

    I was on my phone, scrolling through Facebook & then locked it to watch YouTube on my PC. But 30 minutes later I take it off it's wireless charger and it's disabled for 1 minute.. I'm the only one that has been near the phone, it was literally within 30cm of my keyboard so I no one touched it & I definitely didn't lock it out.. obviously not a major concern since it's only a minute but It's very odd, raises questions like how long was it locked out for before I even noticed? How did it get locked out? Etc

    Any thoughts on what could have caused something like this? I thought failed passcode attempts were the only way to lock it out but that definitely didn't happen..

    After ejecting HDD or SSD, they keep spinning/don't shut off

    For some reason on my Macbook Pro 2017, when I eject any hard drive, they will disappear from the desktop and finder as usual, but they don't stop spinning (HDD) or don't shut off (SSD), so I am forced to pull the cable out and they make a squeal noise. I've used all these hard drives on other macs and they eject and shut themselves off, but for some reason they don't anymore. I'm using Phillips USB - USBc adapters. HELP!

    Subtitle automatically turn on

    No matter which streaming app I use the subtitles are turned on by default every single time. Even if I'm watching a show in [insert streaming service] and turn subtitles off for that show, the next show that starts in that same streaming service has subtitles turned on when the new show starts. It's across every app on the Apple TV. Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello! Anyone have a good suggestion on a durable, flexible lightning to usb (type a) charging cable (looking for 6-10 feet ideally)

    In my experience, the ones sold stock from Apple are expensive and a bit delicate (though I am sure that they don't have faulty microchips in the ends like some of the lower end Chinese "mfi certified" ones.

    If anyone has a good trusty cable they love please share :-). Thanks!

    Should I take part in the AirPods rebate thing?

    As I'm sure this sub knows, Apple is allowing owners of AirPods Pro to send their pairs in if they experience a certain problem. I am not sure (I have no idea) if my pair are affected, and I don't want to miss out on the opportunity. Do you recommend that I send them in to have them professionally checked? Why not, right? I don't really know what I'm looking for, and am not a hardcore user, so I would assume it's best to send them in just to be safe.

    MacBook Pro 13" 2017 Screen Issues

    Hey everyone, hope you're having a nice new year so far.

    I've been having this issue with my 2017 13 inch pro retina screen for a while where the colours are all inverted and flickery. I've always taken pretty good care of the laptop, so I'm upset that this might be an expensive repair. Currently, I am running macOS Catalina v 10.15.7.

    I've made a booking with my local Genius Bar as I can't quite seem to find anyone else with this problem online, but if there is anyone who knows what the issue might be, I'd appreciate some advice!

    Unfortunately, I'm about a year or two out of warranty, so I would rather not drop $500AUD on getting the screen replaced if this is potentially an easy fix :(

    Anyway, I've attached some images and footage of my issue, if anyone wants me to send anything else, happy to send whatever!

    I moved to a location with high humidity and after 6 days my macbook won’t turn on?

    I recently moved to Costa Rica and after about a week my 2016 13 inch macbook wont turn on. I cant tell if its charging my laptop because theres no light on this model (at least that I'm aware of). The charger works fine with my iphone charger, but i dont have anything to test the USB-C one with. I read that high humidity can cause issues. I left it my mac in a room with ac for 48 hours but still no luck. Anyone have any advice?

    Charging cable won't got into port even though it is clean/clear/nothing is in the way

    I have an iphone 7 and today I was inexplicably unable to insert a charging cable into the charging port. I tried three different cables, none of them would go in. It feels like they are hitting something hard that's preventing them from being inserted. I can get the metal part in only to halfway. But there's nothing that I can see in the way. I've looked up close up pictures of the port and mine looks like them.

    I used compressed air to help clear it out, but it didn't help anything. I don't know what could have happened. Last night it charged just fine. I left it out on a table all night and I live alone, so it wasn't messed with and it didn't go into a pocket or purse where anything could have gotten into it.

    I'm really at a loss. I've never had this issue with this phone or any other phone that I've had.

    I'm unable to upload a photo since it is the only device I can use to take a picture.

    What's the best way to back up my laptop?

    I'm having trouble figuring out the best approach to backing up my MacBook. It's almost out of storage and it's mostly because I have 60k images on here. I already have an external hard drive, but that completely filled up so I couldn't do another backup. Not to mention, my hard drive crashed (luckily I don't think I lost much as everything is on my laptop still), so now I'm scared to trust a hard drive again. I looked into getting it repaired, and saw that it could be hundreds of dollars.

    I've also looked into iCloud - but I honestly don't totally understand how it works, and since I have over 500GB of files, it's going to cost $10/month.

    I also don't totally understand how I have 500GB worth of files on my computer - does 60k images/videos really equate to that much? I've deleted as many files and apps as possible, so my laptop seems pretty cleared up.

    Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

    MacBook Pro just flat out behaving weirdly.

    Hey there, I have a MBP 16" from 2019 with a 5500M, 16GB of RAM, and 2.6GHz 9th gen 6core processor. I have a BUNCH of weird stuff going on so I'll list them:

    1. Bootcamp cannot wake from sleep. If bootcamp falls asleep, when I try to wake it up the touchbar turns on, screen remains black, and after about 10s the fans whoosh and the computer crashes. Sometimes after that happens, I get a kernel panic on reboot. Additionally, when I finally reboot into MacOS and it goes to the login screen, the computer will NOT sleep on its own I have to click the sleep button (but that problem goes away once I've logged in).

    2. My computer will not boot if my dongle is plugged in. The dongle is just a standard USB C dongle and the only things plugged into it are Ethernet, HDMI, and a 2.4GHz mouse receiver.

    3. For the longest time (first few editions of Big Sur), whenever I updated the computer it would boot loop, I'd then have to go into recovery mode where I had to "update" my SSD (that's the message it threw at me) which I just don't understand, but did it each time and the update installed fine.

    So I guess my question is, is this a hardware problem? I know I can do a wipe if it's software, but it's just always a TOTAL pain in the ass especially when it comes to preserving all the stuff on my windows partition. Any help would be awesome!

    Where is all of my non-music iTunes media?

    It's been a few years, but all of a sudden I was looking for movies and TV shows that I bought on iTunes...and iTunes is now called 'Music' and I can't find any other form of media on it....?

    I have a MacBook Air... So I feel like it should be something simple that I'm just missing.... my iTunes app is updated.

    A Google search pointed me to an 'Apple TV' app, but searching the 'App Store' has yielded no results..... What happened to all my stuff? How do I view it?

    Somehow I started playing music on my Apple TV. Now whenever I pause a movie and the press play it plays the music and not the movie.
