| Posted: 21 Nov 2020 09:56 PM PST SE 2020 or 12 Mini TL;DR: If my top priority is a decent looking video quality, should i really pay that much more for 12 Mini or can SE 2020 serve that purpose also? I am a proud user of Iphone 5s, the best iphone ever made! Sadly, after full 7 years, time has taken it's toll and i am looking to upgrade. I am going for the smaller kind but can't decide between SE 20202 and 12 Mini. SE 2020 is a lot cheaper but here is my real problem: i want to be make videos using my phone and i want it look at least bareable. I am making lecture videos for students in my profession, so top notch video quality is not needed. But i still need decent video quality. I read that video quality is the real difference between these 2. If my top priority is a decent looking video quality, should i really pay that much more for 12 Mini or can SE 2020 serve that purpose also? P.S. I am also eyeing an İpad Pro but i can not be sure of it's video quality. Is it much better than 12 Mini that i should go for SE 2020 as a phone and get an Ipad Pro for video purposes? Posted: 21 Nov 2020 10:43 PM PST Ever since I upgraded to the iPhone 12 Max Pro, my Apple Watch 4 message notifications aren't clearing when I read a text/iMessage on my iPhone. I have to read the message on my watch in order for the notification to clear on my watch. My watch does not have cellular activated. Both my watch and iPhone are up to date. | A note deleted itself, permanently Posted: 21 Nov 2020 01:29 PM PST iPhone 8 + MacBook Air, more of an iCloud issue anyway. I went into notes, opened the note in question, and none of the pictures I had were there. There was the date and time of the last edit at the top (like usual) but none of the pictures were there, there wasn't any flashing line to type on, and when I did type random letters none showed up. So I swiped out of the note back to my folders and watched it delete itself. I went to recently deleted and it wasn't there either. I have no clue what happened or how to restore it, as it was an iCloud note and presumably backing up one device or another would still have it gone (I checked on my MacBook and it deleted itself off there too when it synced). No one else had access to my iCloud account, my devices, notes password, anything. No other notes had any issues, I double- and triple-checked. Restarted my phone a few times, still nothing happened. Any idea what the hell caused this or how I could fix it/restore the note? [link] [comments]  |

| Earphone microphones and controls not working Posted: 21 Nov 2020 05:18 PM PST My iphone6s plus is having this issue. My AirPods were great but they started to glitch and have issues and they are still under warranty so I handed them in for now. Mean while I wanna use wired headphones again but they do play sound but they do not catch sound from the in line microphone or allow the use for the controls. I tried all headphones around my house and tried them on my Mac. Works perfectly on my Mac with everything, just on my iPhone. Is there anything I can do besides cleaning out the headphone jack which I did, and then paying someone and make appointments at a store Thanks [link] [comments]  |

I think I'm currently on iOS 12, since I just haven't seen a need to update it until now. However, whenever I go to install and update, I just see the loading circle for a bit and then it disappears, with no prompt or evidence of anything happening, and it definitely did not update. | Full Storage Bootloop How To Delete Files? Posted: 21 Nov 2020 01:22 PM PST My iPhone XS is on iOS 13.5 with the Unc0ver jailbreak. I got a couple messages saying my storage was almost full and stupidly ignored them. Then my iPhone started glitching on a few apps so I decided to restart it thinking it would fix the problem. Now it's stuck on the Apple logo and won't turn on. It seems like this issue might have to do with the full storage. I've only seen posts saying I should use the iTunes restore, but from what I've read it would upgrade me to iOS 14 and kill the jailbreak, plus there's no guarantee that the system files won't just take up more storage and I still won't be able to boot up. Anyone else have a similar issue? Is there a way to just delete some files / photos without getting past the apple logo? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 21 Nov 2020 12:33 PM PST so i have an iphone xs and i was looking at my storage which said i'm using up 213gb. i noticed the "other" category on was taking up roughly 100gb. so i synced to my mac to see if it would clear things up, and it did. on my mac it said i have 118gb available and cleared the "other" category. however, after i checked on my iphone storage and it still said i'm using 218gb but now my photos are magically taking up 130gb??? when literally like 5 mins ago it was only taking up 50gb. so i synced to my mac again and now it says the same thing, i only have 37gb available. what is going on? | Voice dictation not working 50% of the time. Posted: 21 Nov 2020 11:20 AM PST Like the title says, there's a 50-50 chance that after I dictate an entire message to my iPhone (using the microphone icon on the keyboard), no words will appear on the screen. I don't think I need to explain why this is extremely frustrating. Side note, This issue has followed me between phones… From my iPhone 11 to my newer iPhone 11 Pro. I first noted this issue about a month ago after updating to iOS 14. updating to 14.2 didn't change anything either. What I've tried: Hard reboot Turning dictation on and off Nothing has helped so far. This is an intermittent problem, and it is next level frustrating to dictate something only to find out that it hasn't been recorded. Has anybody else experienced and resolved this issue? Whenever I use my phone in landscape mode like watching a YouTube video or something, the search bar, widgets, and apps found on the home page appear on the screen blocking content. | Posted: 21 Nov 2020 08:21 AM PST I got my phone at the start of september, my wifi has been out for almost a week so I've been using my personal hotspot on my PC I have 50GB of data so I'm not trying to go over that, my 'current period' says I'm at 46GB used, however under that is an option called 'personal hotspot' and when I click that it says 56 GB used I'm confused about what to listen to here, why is the personal hotspot usage higher than the current period usage, I've never reset the statistics since I got my phone so I'm genuinely clueless [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 21 Nov 2020 07:16 AM PST iPhone XS Max iOS 14.2 Purchased new at Verizon around July 2019 Every single time I record a video on my iPhone, the first 10 seconds or so is insanely quiet. If I watch the video back I can turn the volume all the way up and barely hear anything until about 10 seconds and it goes back to normal. This has happened for several months but I'm getting sick of it because I just recorded a video that didn't have proper sound until like the 40 second mark. If I record a video through Snapchat, the sound is fine all the way through. As far as I can tell this only happens when I record through the regular camera app. [link] [comments]  |
