    UTM is a QEMU based emulator for iOS that allows you to emulate (among other things) x86_64 machines running Windows or Linux. It allows you to run VMs on your iPhone or iPad.

    UTM v2.0 has a brand new interface designed for iOS 14 as well as an upgraded QEMU backend (4.2.0 => 5.1.0). It also adds changing ISOs while booted. When Apple released iOS 14, they patched the ptrace() exploit that allowed UTM (and Dolphin) to use JIT without any special entitlements. However, iOS 14.2 (released publicly today) introduced a new workaround for non-jailbroken, developer certificate signed, apps to use JIT. EDIT: Bad news. Seems like this worked on the RC build (18B91) but not in today's release build (18B92).

    Here's a video showing UTM v2.0 booting Windows 7 on both an iPhone 11 Pro and an iPhone 12 Pro with the iPhone 12 Pro booting 26% faster.

    Today's release of AltStore 1.4.2 beta enables UTM to work on iOS 14.2. Unfortunately, for those who don't want to update to iOS 14.2 because of rumors of an upcoming jailbreak, you must wait for the jailbreak to use UTM on 14.0 or 14.1 (or deal with having to tether to your computer to launch UTM). Here's a quick summary of supported versions:

    • iOS 11-13: You can install and run UTM using any version of AltStore (recommended) or iOS App Signer. No jailbreak needed. If you're on < iOS 13.6, UTM uses Psychic Paper for slightly faster JIT.
    • iOS 14: You must either be jailbroken or follow the tethered launch instructions every time you launch UTM.
    • iOS 14.2: You can use either the beta AltStore (1.4.2) or iOS App Signer to install. No jailbreak needed. EDIT: Bad news. Seems like this worked on the RC build (18B91) but not in today's release build (18B92).

    One more thing... macOS 11 universal builds are available for beta testing. Be warned that currently the macOS builds are still very unstable.

    Why?

    1. App extensions is counted as an app on iOS 13.3.1 - iOS 13.4.1, which is a major problem because it would mean that you can only have 1 app with no app extensions active besides AltStore assuming a free developer account.

    2. There is only 10 App IDs per free developer Apple ID.

    Steps

    1. Make sure AltStore is installed on your device

    2. Open altstore://install?url=https://f000.backblazeb2.com/file/altstore/apps/altstore/1_4_1.ipa in safari. (This is the official original altstore download link) (Change 1_4_1 to something else if you want a new AltStore version after it updated)

    3. AltStore should open. Make sure to select "Remove App Extension"

    4. Profit

    I ask because when you install bootra1n it deletes the files in the usb stick. I saved the blobs on my pc but i wanna be safe and put it in my usb stick as well.

    Hi all,

    what is actual the best practise to stop iphone iOS Firmware auto-updates. Is installing a beta profile still working? When yes, what profile should i install? TvOS? IpadOs?

    Or is there another way? With the 14.1 exploits i want to stay on that firmware at the moment. I dont want to wake up someday and find a autoupdate to 14.2

    Sorry for the double post, but I really don't want to lose my JB, be denied service, or fuckup face id.

    I have an iPhone 11 on iOS 13.5 with a cracked screen that I plan on repairing. Beforehand, I'm going to do a rootfs restore just to play it safe. If I do this, I should be fine bringing it to even apple, right? There's no way they can know?

    I also shouldn't lose faceid or my JB, right?

    Hello guys! I dont know if this is the best place to ask cuz i asked apple support and they told me to update to the latest (which is unjailbreak able as i am on checkra1n iphone 7 ios 13.5) So i wanna see if anyone else have this problem or is a tweak causing it.. so long story short sometimes my alarm simply doesn't work.. for example last night i had 3 alarms.. 1 at 1:30am 1 at 1:40am And 1 at 7:30am.. the 7:30 one worked fine but the other never worked.. no screen no sound no nothing its like the alarm was off.. my phone wasnt on dnd or silent.. its been 2 weeks now since it started and idk why.. sometimes it works sometimes not.. any help would be appreciated!
