Posted: 07 Nov 2020 01:49 PM PST MacBook Pro or Air 2020? This is basically my dilemma. I want a computer for light photo and video editing. Want to start designing again and use programs such as illustrator. Other than that I will need it for word documents. Filling up Internet forms and emailing clients. It won't be use all day everyday but just a couple hours a day, maybe around 2-3 hours. Also Netflix and googling. I want a computer that will last for a long time because both of those devices are a lot of money. What do you guys think? [link] [comments]
eBay Macbook "Deal" vs. Apple Macbook standard pricing?? Posted: 07 Nov 2020 02:02 PM PST I ran across this on the Appledeals subreddit: It says it's a deal at 20% off from 2950 - 2360 USD. I am also looking at Apple's website which says it only costs $2400 (without education pricing). They appear to have the same stats, but it appears to be flying off the shelves of the eBay listing now. Any insight? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Dents and scratches repairable under AppleCare+? Posted: 07 Nov 2020 10:41 AM PST I am in a little bit of confusion. Ever since Apple introduced accidental damage coverage (which includes external enclosure damage) to AppleCare+ for MacBook Pros, they also included that it won't cover "cosmetic damage" or whatever. If my MacBook Pro is dented or scratched, is it covered as "accidental damage" to the "external enclosure" (which is covered by AppleCare+) or is it not covered since it's "cosmetic damage" (which isn't covered by AppleCare+)? Posted: 07 Nov 2020 12:20 PM PST I have recently switched from chrome to safari. In chrome I used Adblock and never had issues. For safari I downloaded adguard and it comes up with errors when I try to watch YouTube. Any recommendations for a better one? [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Nov 2020 11:21 AM PST My hands were sweaty and I was using my MacBook and now it's acting slow, like really laggy and slow. Could sweat break a MacBook? It's a 2020 MacBook Air. [link] [comments]
Battery health at 80.4% after 211 cycles, is it normal? Posted: 07 Nov 2020 08:55 AM PST I've been using my computer for about over a year now (MBP13-2019) I just checked coconutBattery and it says I'm at 80.4% of the designed 5103mAh. Is it normal after 211 cycles or should I contact Apple for it? [link] [comments]
Taking in my MacBook for repairs, will they view my files? Posted: 07 Nov 2020 02:56 AM PST I'm not actually Mark Zuckerberg, I'm actually a schoolteacher who has private student information (i.e. grades, medical/disability information) on my MacBook. I am not allowed to share this information with others, as it is private, but I have it on my computer because it has been shared with me by the school, so I can give students with disabilities and other health issues the necessary accommodations. So anyway, allowing people who aren't authorized school personnel to access these student files could not only get me fired, but I could face legal consequences for it. So my MacBook will not start up, so I need to get at least the battery replaced if not also other internal components. If I take it to the Apple Store, will the technicians there view my files? Posted: 07 Nov 2020 01:13 AM PST So I tried to write in spanish and I always have to copy and paste the letters with an accent. I saw that you can use letters with accents by holding the letter, and then a selection pops up. Not for me. My keybord is german/austrian. What can I do? [link] [comments] |
