Alternatives to PDF Expert for annotating and exporting PowerPoints & PDFs? Posted: 03 Oct 2020 10:57 AM PDT Hello, Reddit. I'm sure this thread has rolled around a few times. I've checked out a few of the apps already suggested in several threads, but ultimately I still can't make up my mind. I primarily used PDF Expert for annotating and writing/drawing on PowerPoint presentations and highlighting pages in textbooks. Once I found out I had to pay a special subscription-based fee in order to export annotated stuff (supplements to notes), I hightailed it out of there. Which alternatives do you guys suggest? I will be heavily using the Apple Pencil with it so I'd love it if it had good integration. I also loved the organization and ease-of-use in regards to export/import that PDF Expert gave me, are there any apps that offer similar stuff? For example, exporting to Notability within the app is a must. I'd try them all out myself but I don't wanna waste too much time on trying them all out. Edit: Not that it makes any difference, but I'm currently studying CompSci. Would primarily be using it for math textbooks. I also draw on the side so they'd also be useful for art books. 32 layers limit in procreate on iPad air 2019. Posted: 03 Oct 2020 07:41 AM PDT Why is iPad air 3 treated same as iPad 6? Shouldn't it get more layers as it has A12 processor and more ram. Any way to increase it? [link] [comments]
Making My iPad a Drawing Tablet? (Screen Mirroring) Posted: 03 Oct 2020 09:33 AM PDT Does anyone know a good screen mirroring app for ipad that enables apple pencil/pen pressure? I'm trying to turn my ipad into a drawing tablet so i can animate in Photoshop, and what I've been using (Duet) tapped out on me last second and won't read my Apple Pencil input anymore without a subscription (I think my free trial ended). I heard AstroPad is good, and I'm considering staying with Duet, but i want to see if anyone else knew of good things to use? [link] [comments]
What are everyone's favorite cases for the iPad pro? Posted: 03 Oct 2020 08:37 AM PDT Just got my iPad Pro and feel so lost looking for a good case. I don't need a keyboard but would love to stand it up, any recommendations? [link] [comments]

Anyone have a good vector drawing program to replace Picta Graphic? Posted: 03 Oct 2020 11:34 AM PDT Graphic is awesome, but it hasn't been updated in a year and a half and it can no longer handle user fonts under iPadOS 14. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Oct 2020 02:42 PM PDT Will one note be free on the new ipad air? I was planning on getting the ipad for university and I don't want to spend money for good notes and notability just yet. If it's not, are there any free note taking apps where I can use an apple pencil? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Oct 2020 02:41 PM PDT My iPad Pro was purchased off the apple store website on Sept 14th and it's still "processing"? Not sure if anyone else has run into this, but the shipping window is Oct 9-15. I'm just worried that it hasn't shifted to "shipping" yet. [link] [comments]
Best Photo editing iPencil, touchscreen, arrows, circles & add text? Posted: 03 Oct 2020 02:39 PM PDT Can anyone help me figure out which photo editing app works best to draw arrows, circles add text etc to photos using iPencil and touchscreen? I'm in the roofing biz. I take photos on my android phone (I could use the iPad but phone is easier to get on roof with). I then like to draw arrows, circle and add text to describe what I'm doing and to point out trouble areas. I need to be able to do it quickly and then text and email out the photos. I use to use a windows desktop program called clip2net that was awesome for this but it's Russian based and I was told it's malware. Besides, it was best at a desktop with a mouse. I want to utilize the pencil and touchscreen to become efficient at drawing out a basic plan on a photo that's easy enough for a elementary student to be able to understand. Any help or suggestions would be highly appreciated. [link] [comments]

Posted: 03 Oct 2020 01:30 PM PDT (Sorry for grammatical and/or spelling mistakes, english is not my native language) I was wondering which apps you guys use to go with your apple pen. u/kirigerKairen recommended goodNotes 5 to me and I'm really happy with it but i'd love a second opinion on programs like notability etc. Thanks in advance! Posted: 02 Oct 2020 05:03 PM PDT I really am loving the appeal of replacing my MacBook with an iPad due to the Apple Pencil functionality. However I am concerned as to if I'll be able to perform all functions such as writing essays(with a keyboard of course), creating/editing/exporting PDF files, Adobe acrobat, Excel, etc. I apologize if these are all super known and easy iPad functions I am just pretty unfamiliar. Just want to see if there are keys areas where perhaps the MacBook may exceed the iPad in terms of utility. All in all, any input or advice would be greatly appreciated thank you so much! Power consumption on Ipad's screen Posted: 03 Oct 2020 02:17 AM PDT I already know that the smaller the process on the CPU the lower the power consumption, e.g. 10nm is more energy efficient than 14nm, 7nm is better than 10nm ... etc Of course, it's handling heavy-duty tasks, even light ones when the CPU is being used for certain applications. But if there aren't any running tasks, just a simple screen on the desktop or a note app with a maximum bright background or solid color, then is there any difference in energy consumption between processes? CPU does not? 7nm, 10nm, 14nm and even 5nm on iPad Air 2020? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Oct 2020 05:03 AM PDT Idk if anyone found this but if you wanna see two reddit posts in the same row like this - - Just go in a app compatible with split screen and then make reddit smaller and then remove the other app by pressing the middle and dragging it to the opposite side of reddit and boom thats how you see two reddit posts ina row (only works with pictures) [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Oct 2020 08:16 PM PDT I have an iPad Air 3 and an logitech folio case with the keyboard and trackpad. It's like a laptop for me and I use it all the time but I sometimes forget to put it on silent+dnd when I go to bed and it goes off in the middle of the night even though the case is closed. I know the iPad can tell it's closed because it shuts off the screen and locks itself when I close it, but is there a way to make it also silence itself or turn on dnd mode? I don't know why this isn't default, I really miss the DND switches on iPads.... [link] [comments]
