    My humble setup until now

    After 10 years away from the Apple worlds, I am back to it with an iPad Air 3 (got it way new way cheap on Amazon)

    I am definitely impressed on how the platform matured and that now it is really closer to be a pc. Screen is amazing even if it does not have the Pro Motion. I still have to get a pen and maybe a case with a keyboard, but I am glad to still have a headphone jack.

    I will use it mainly for online researches: articles and PDF. I need to improve the workflow.

    • Notability: can I copy a picture from safari and paste it straight to notability? I can only find the import from library. If I paste a picture it just shows the url.
    • MS Office / Google suite: are MS apps generally better here on the iPad? I am a Google user but seems that Apple promotes them a lot in the App Store.
    • Onedrive / Google Drive: i love how onedrive lets annotate PDF. A bummer that I need a paid account to use word with onedrive.
    • I really need to understand the multitasking features. Sometimes I want a page open on the left and google keep on the right to take notes.

    Most of all, I think that without a pen the device potential is limited by half. It seems that Notability is for pen users and Onenote (and similar apps) to typing users.

    2 people watching iPad on Plane with Headphones

    We're finally going to chance it and take a vacation this year. I got a new iPad Pro and we want to use it on the plane to watch a movie. Is there a way to have two people listen with headphones since I can't play the audio through the speakers?

    USB-C to lightning cable?

    For some reason I thought that the iPad Air 4 was charged via lightning, instead of USB-C. Do they make adapters that I can use my apple earbuds with, the one with the lightning adapter?

    Adobe is releasing Illustrator to your iPad today, delivering a compact version of its desktop vector graphics app that's been redesigned to utilize touch controls and a stylus. Just about everything you'd expect from a mobile version of Illustrator is here, in the pencil, pen, and brush tools, to layers, possessions, and grid options, to basics like the type tool and route choices. Some more specific attributes are still missing, but they may not be items you require daily.

    Anybody else find that Touch compliments the trackpad of their Magic Keyboard?

    The first thing my partner told me when he saw that I got the Magic Keyboard for my 11 inch iPad Pro was: "so you're just turning your iPad into a touch screen Macbook? Who wants that?"

    I agreed with his sentiment initially. I have used Windows laptops with touch screens in the past and after I get through the few weeks of novelty, I almost forgott about the touch functionality. With my iPad, however, I have found that the touch functionality compliments my use of the Magic Keyboard. So pleasant in fact that when I'm my Macbook, I sometimes instinctively reach out to the screen to interact with it.

    Scribble questions - Pages and in general

    I have a 2018 iPad Pro running the 14.2 beta. I can't seem to make Scribble work in Pages. It doesn't bring up the Scribble menu bar or all any Pencil input. I have no difficulty with this in other apps or text input fields.

    Second, how can I create a linebreak/new paragraph with Scribble? Even Nebo allows this, but I cannot find a way to do this using the pencil alone.

    Ipad Air speakers

    I was considering picking up the new Ipad air, as it was slightly cheaper than the pro. I also noticed it had 2 speaker vents on each side, which got me excited for the audio capabilities of this thing. However, after reading the apple specs page for both the Ipad Pro and the Ipad Air, I noticed that the Pro has quad speakers, whereas the Air has stereo speakers. So is there actually 4 speakers on the air, or is it just 1 speaker on each side playing through 2 holes?

    Note Taking app that works with iPad and windows computer

    Hey everyone! So I decided to get the new iPad Air and I am very excited about it. I currently have an HP Spectre and take digital notes with a pen on it. I love using it and actually resulted to me getting the iPad with the pencil so I can do even better written notes. But I want to use an app that works well with the iPad and the windows computer where I can access both of them. What would be a good option with a cloud service that's not too expensive? I will be using this for school namely engineering and science classes.

    Home screen Widgets (batteries) not showing

    So for whatever reason my batteries widget, along with all other widgets (calendar, stocks, etc) doesn't show up on my iPad Home Screen... I have to hold down the screen for it to appear. Any ideas on what's going on? I think it might've started occurring after the most recent update.

    How to get picture in picture for video calls using Facebook Messenger on iPadOS?

    I use messenger pretty much everyday a lot for video calling and i want to be doing stuff while on the call but on the iPad it just goes down and the video is cut off while the audio stays on. I therefore use my phone which lets me do that but then it's a phone things are small and it works but I'd like more and the iPad has more screen. And no having the call on one device and using the other is not an option for two reasons not important to mention here.

    So is there any setting I am missing or something?

    I am flush mounting an iPad Air 2 running iOS 14 into my living room wall. What are your suggested apps for an “entertainment hub”

    I'm going to use it to run Spotify, check my Arlo cameras and allow friends and family to FaceTime the "house" if they wish. I am slowly getting HomeKit set up and it's been great. All suggestions are appreciated!

    iPad Air case

    I just purchased the iPad Air 4 and I am looking for some case suggestions. I really want the folio case but if I'm spending 70-80$ might as well purchase the folio keyboard one for 160$.     Noteshelf on ipad

    It's my first post here. I'm using an android smartphone and a iPad. So I'm looking for a note taking app that allows me to sync across android and iOS. I have come across xodo, metamoji, Adobe and noteshelf. Currently i'm leaning towards noteshelf. Can someone advice how is the app on iOS? Does it work well? I've tried xodo and its great on android but it sucks on iOS.

    iPad Air Arrival Date Changed?

    Just wondering if anyone else had their iPad Air arrival date changed from Oct. 23 to Oct. 23 - Oct. 27. My arrival date was listed as Oct. 23 since I ordered it on Friday, but in the past couple hours, changed to the 23rd - 27th window. I ordered it about 30 minutes after preorders opened, which I know is sort of late, but I still thought that would be early enough to get on Friday. Maybe not. I don't know. Anyways, just wanted to see if it's just me, or if this is maybe more widespread. Thanks in advance for your response!
