How Apple can win their court battle with Epic

    Posted: 07 Oct 2020 04:58 PM PDT

Epic is pushing the false narrative that ALL app developers are upset about Apple's 30% cut and control of the App Store. That isn't true at all, I support Apple's way of doing things and my game has almost as much worldwide name recognition as Fortnite. Most children have heard of my game and played it at least once in the past few years.

Epic is relying on clout and name recognition to create the impression that they speak for all app developers, and a lot of the media is apparently falling for it. The only way Apple can push back against this narrative is for people like me to speak up. I'm a millionaire and it's thanks to the App Store. My main app has had hundreds of millions of downloads over the past few years. What kind of a fool would I be to complain about this? I'm lucky I had the chance to participate in the App Store at all. I can easily make a compelling argument that Apple should actually be taking at least 45% from developers, not just 30%. There are so many things I could say that I'm sure Apple wants to say, but much of what they'd like to say would not be compelling in court unless it came out of the mouth of someone like me.

A lot of you brag about how Tim Cook answers your ordinary emails all the time. This is where I'm confused. I have tried to contact Tim Cook and Phil Schiller four times via email regarding this actual important issue over the past month to make them aware I am available to be used in court or as part of any sort of pushback against Epic and that I'll happily do it in exchange for nothing simply because I despise Tim Sweeney for being a backstabbing loser biting the hand that feeds and I want to see him crash and burn. Yet I get no response, not even a simple "not interested". I understand they are busy, but if they have time to reply to your cat pics then why aren't they replying to me?

So I'm assuming they aren't even seeing my emails. I'm sure someone manually filters their emails and makes sure Tim and Phil only see what they flag as the most important. Unfortunately that person appears to possibly be an idiot or worse, because this is clearly more important than what most people are able to get replies with.

Sorry to bring conspiracy theories into the mix but I started to think that maybe Epic has financially bribed system admins at Apple to work for Epic's benefit and they are logging private internal communications at Apple and deleting emails like mine on the server side before the recipient can see them. That would explain Tim Sweeney's bizarre confidence that he has any sort of chance against Apple if he can predict Apple's moves based on the intercepted communications. It would also explain the strange timing of the outage of multiple Apple services last week if someone affiliated with Epic gained root access to critical Apple infrastructure and is having some malicious fun.

TLDR: I'm worried that I'm not getting even so much as a courtesy dismissive email response from Tim Cook or Phil Schiller and I am having increasing paranoid anxiety over the possibility that this means Apple's servers were hacked by Epic. This post is my alternative attempt to get their attention so despite not being your run of the mill Apple news post I hope the mods will consider leaving it up anyway in case they see it and want to contact me.
