Phone has strange screen time stats Posted: 31 Aug 2020 07:20 PM PDT So my phone is claiming to have used 22h of a website called "find-your-slut.com" and I really wish I was making this up. I'm about 90% sure I've never visited this site unless it was via ads. Can I block the site or just make sure I'm not getting tracked? Or are there any better suggestions? It feels like I'm tapped and idk why Edit: I just attempted to visit the site via safari to see it say "not found" and have an unsecured link. I am spooked lmao. [link] [comments] |
iOS 13.6.1 goes nuts. Anybody have similar problems or solution? Posted: 31 Aug 2020 11:48 PM PDT Hi! First of all, it seems like my phone doesn't have any RAM. Management is very bad. If for example I minimize Reddit app (not even change to other, just go to home screen) it resets. I cannot have music + maps together because one of them shuts off. When it works (sometimes) it goes nuts (music glitches, maps lose my position or just turn off etc. ). When I scroll Reddit it likes to just randomly shut off after 10 min or so. It is Just bad, very very bad. The phone also heats like hell when I try to run music+maps . Second problem is storage. Two months ago my phone created 16GB+ of files under category 'Other', it was so bad, that I had 100mb free and it couldnt even create temp files and run apps (Messenger just crashed upon opening) :( . I wasn't able to do anything to clear this. When I deleted apps to free space, so that others will work, it just created more "other" files and filled it again. Is it just my phone, or some 13.6.1 bugs? Does someone have same issues? If it doesn't stop in couple of days I will also post this problem on apple forums, and share link here. [link] [comments] |
Complicated problems with iPhone X (opening the phone with POWER ON) Posted: 31 Aug 2020 08:49 PM PDT I have replaced OLED screen on my iphone x already from a third party seller. Then I dropped my phone again today which damaged the panel again, so I ordered my replacement again. However, the way my phone is broken, I can't turn off my phone before I can fix it. Will it be okay to fix the phone without turning it off? or is there a way to turn off the phone without using the screen? (My understanding was that only way to turn off iphone x is to use either one of the volume button and hold button, then use the screen to slide) I would really appreciate any help for this. How easy is it really to hack into someones iPhone and "monitor" their activity such as texts? Posted: 31 Aug 2020 08:03 AM PDT I have been having a lot of weird issues lately with gmail, including it being accessed by an unknown iPhone. My worry is that somehow my phone got hacked and people have been hanging out on it "watching" my activity, not limited to seeing my text messages. I wasn't sure how easy it really is to hack into an iPhone remotely or even if they can be infected with malware creating security holes. Such as I got a few photos from a known contact that I opened, I wasn't sure if they can bring in malicious code etc. If this is hard as hell and very rare what are some measures I can take to monitor my phone for activity, or overall keep clean and safe. I wasn't sure if people scanned them for malware etc. Thanks for any help! [link] [comments] |
iPhone X Screen popping off the frame. Posted: 31 Aug 2020 06:13 PM PDT It is on the left side of the phone and it has started from the center down to the bottom. Is this an issue I will need to have fixed or can I do it myself? Thank you in advance. [link] [comments] |
App store won't download new apps Posted: 31 Aug 2020 06:04 PM PDT I've been having this issue for a while now and I'm not sure what I did. I try to download new apps and the get button spins for a second then cancels like in the video above. Downloading previously owned apps work. Downloading updates work. [link] [comments] |

Iphone calls not coming through Posted: 31 Aug 2020 01:51 PM PDT I have an iphone 7 and the calls does not seem to come through (this is copied from another user with the same problem) The issue isn't that the phone isn't ringing or vibrating - the call is not even registering as coming through. Some of my calls come through fine, phone rings and all is well. Other times, I'll suddenly get the voicemail ping. When I look at the call history, there is no record of anyone just calling me - and yet, someone did because they left a voicemail. This nonsense of being told it's user error (check do not disturb, check that the switch on the side is not turned off, etc) is just that nonsense. If that was a problem none of the calls would come through. And if the ringer was turned off, I would still have a record of the call being received. Ignore unknown users is not on [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Aug 2020 01:19 PM PDT I took a screen grab, but can't show it—the data icon on the quick menu just shuts off, and my phone/apps won't work, and then will turn itself back on within a minute. I'm a gig worker, so this is incredibly challenging for getting orders [link] [comments] |
iPhone X screen lifting from phone Posted: 31 Aug 2020 01:10 PM PDT So my screen is lifting from my case and basically I called up Apple explained the problem they ran a diagnostics test and they told my my battery was completely fine. Should I tape the spot where the screen is lifting till I can either get a new phone in a month or get it repaired ? (Is it possible that the adhesive became lose or something) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Aug 2020 12:32 PM PDT I have a iphone xs max and it is jailbroken and O jabe over 35+gb of the Other storage. I have checked on filza and found files like adat, dyld_shared_cache_arm64e , swapfiles (0,1,2), and .overprovisioning.file. I know they are important but I have them repeated like 7 times each. I was wondering if it is okay to delete the repeated ones. Thanks [link] [comments] |
Iphone is disabled:connect to Itunes Posted: 31 Aug 2020 12:16 PM PDT Wondering if you smart people can help me out. Yesterday my phone screen broke, and the broken screen caused the phone to try and input the password a ton, throwing it into "Iphone is disabled:connect to Itunes" mode. I got my phone fixed today, everything works great, however I have run into an issue. First, for some reason Itunes is not finding my phone. Second, I've been reading that the only way to unlock from here is to do a total restore. I have something that didn't get back up recently, and I want to try to avoid restoring at all costs. Any work arounds to first have itunes find my phone, and also to maybe enter recovery mode before a full restore? If there are any further details that are needed let me know. Really appreciate the help. [link] [comments] |
Apps acting like they need a break Posted: 31 Aug 2020 11:45 AM PDT Some of the things I installed, and have used for a while will kick me out as I open it and I don't know how to fix it, what should I do? [link] [comments] |
How do I fix this? iPhone X Boot Loop out of nowhere, status bar disappears quickly. Posted: 31 Aug 2020 09:56 AM PDT This is what it looks like: https://youtu.be/TeD1CuvyQN0 iOS 13.6.1, I've done a DFU restore on this phone 2 weeks ago for a similar issue except it was stuck on the apple logo not boot looping like this, I did a hard shut off using the volume keys and power, but this still happens, some backstory. This happened randomly out of nowwhere, I waited 5 mins, and it returned back to normal, about 5 mins or so later, I havent even touched my phone, and the issue came back! Except it's doing this for 17 hours now. Also, when this first happened, I was wipping down my phone using a very soft microfiber cloth. [link] [comments] |
Having problems with incoming calls Posted: 31 Aug 2020 03:59 AM PDT Hello! I do not have an iPhone, I have a Google pixel 3xl, on TMobile, but I am having an iPhone issue. There are numerous times when someone with an iPhone tries to call me, that they get "user busy" notice. Not a busy tone, it says "user busy." Every time this has happened, the people will text me to tell me what happened, and to call them back. I can get their texts, and I can call them just fine. I have restarted my phone a few times, but it doesn't correct the problem and TMobile says that there is no problem, and I just had my Do Not Disturb turned on. I do not. I have turned it completely off, I have changed the auto DND times, etc. This only seems to happen with someone using an iPhone. I have googled the issue and never found an answer. Usually the answer is that it resolves itself in a day or so, but that has not been the case for me. Does anyone know what's up? Is this an Android/iPhone incompatibility thing, or a network thing? Posted: 31 Aug 2020 02:56 AM PDT My charging cable was on my bed NOT PLUGGED IN and my toddler chomped on the end of it and now it won't charge my phone. Is there a way to fix this or is it screwed? There's no teeth marks that I can see and he only had it in his mouth for maybe 2 literal seconds before I realized and took it from him. I REPEAT- THE CABLE WAS NOT PLUGGED INTO THE WALL. I had it laying on my bed from having unpacked it from an overnight bag [link] [comments] |
Section of iPhone 11 screen not responding to touch. Posted: 31 Aug 2020 06:03 AM PDT For about 2 weeks now a section of my screen hasn't been working. It doesnt register touches at all in this section. I havent dropped it recently and everything else works fine. I see no physical damage at all. It just sorta happened. Any help would be massively appreciated, this is a major annoyance. [link] [comments] |
Voice Control/Siri glitches with the insertion of earphones jack Posted: 31 Aug 2020 04:40 AM PDT • iPhone SE 1st gen • IOS 13.6.1 • But not just that, I was able to replicate this even with AirPods. Basically what happens is: me putting the jack in, the phone doing good for a random amount of time, it can start glitching after a few seconds, minutes or not at all (and this is rare), sometimes according to the movement of the jack, sometimes with no reason, no touching. The glitching consists in voice control getting activated when there's something with an audio file playing, with some of this as consequences -> videos or music get paused, tracks keep skipping some seconds, skip to the next track or play faster. WhatsApp voice messages do all that at the same time. It happened also when I tried with AirPods. I had these problems with Siri at the beginning and turned it off but it only changed to Voice Control. I tried cleaning it twice, one of which was the other day, and that last time it seemed everything was alright for a day and then..... yeah. It may be related to the microphone, that would explain why it happens with AirPods too but also toying with the jack seems to play a role while it's already glitching or to activate it sometimes. Also, a friend of mine told me it was a known issue involving the jack making contact with the home button somehow, but I couldn't find anything about it. [link] [comments] |
Problem with ringer when calls are incoming. Posted: 31 Aug 2020 04:07 AM PDT Whenever someone calls me, even when silent mode is on, the ringtone sound still goes through. I've noticed this happened after I repaired my iPhone after dropping it in water. Has anybody had the same problem and/or knows how to fix it? This is on my iPhone 7 running iOS 14 Beta 6, although the problem started before using the beta [link] [comments] |
iPhone storage space taken for the Photo App is just too much Posted: 31 Aug 2020 03:55 AM PDT • iPhone SE 1st gen • IOS 13.6.1 • I've looked at other posts about this but nothing seems to be my case. The situation is not desperate, just ridiculous: I have literally 3 pictures, the trash is empty, in the storage section the App occupies 1,47 GB. As I am writing this and going back to check, it got to 800 MB. Like, I appreciate the effort dear phone but that's too much anyway. It's been going on for months, no pics and a lot of space occupied, I never had iCloud enabled but I'm storing everything on Google Photo though. Hope this is enough information for you I really don't get what's wrong with it. [link] [comments] |
iPhone 11 screen went black for a bit but works (for now)? Posted: 31 Aug 2020 03:17 AM PDT So I have an iPhone 11 running on iOS 13.6.1 and I got it back in January. I was playing games on my phone everything was working fine, I left the room for like 10 mins and came back to find the screen was black and would not turn on when I tapped the screen. I was confused because it was charging and was only around 60%. I tried holding the side button to see if the apple logo would pop up it never did. I adjusted the ringer button and felt the little vibrate of it changing and swiped up on the screen and also felt that little vibrate. I thought since the phone was still on but the screen was black I could just hold the volume and side button and try blindly swiping on the screen to turn it off because I wasn't sure what to do. Nothing happened again so after that I held down the power button again and heard this quick WOP sound. Right after the lock screen popped up and I could access it like normal without having to enter my passcode like I need to when my phone restarts. I just restarted my phone and it seems to be functioning normally Nothing like this has ever happened before and it kind of worries me because this phone was a gift and I was hoping to make it last for a while. I've never drop it, it's been a bit wet a few times but not recently and it's never been submerged in water. Was just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or has an idea of what just happened. I hope its a one time thing because if I have to take it to get fixed my parents are going to accuse me of not taking care of it :( [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Aug 2020 02:05 AM PDT I was on a phone call for about a minute or so and when I ended the call I saw briefly for a second some albums on my screen with someone else's Memoji in the corner. The first photo of that album was not a photo from my phone. The person's Memoji is a contact in my phone which I know. I wasn't able to replicate this action or this screen image afterwards. My iCloud photo sharing is turned off and I have never connected the phone to any laptops other than my own. I checked all the apps I currently have on my phone and there's none that I know of never installing. Was this a brain-glitch on my side or is it possible someone was able to remotely-connect to my iPhone? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Aug 2020 01:54 AM PDT On my iPhone 6s, my new WiFi turns on and off every second. It works for everybody except me, I tried to fix it but could not, anybody know the solution to this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Aug 2020 01:40 AM PDT I wanted to ask for help. My mother is going to be able to upgrade her phone soon and I have no idea what phone to pick. She loves her iPhone and I know very little about them. My options to pick from are iPhone 11 iPhone SE iPhone XS I don't know anything about the difference between these. My mother is older, she uses her phone for very basic reasons. Phone call, video chat sometimes, simple app games, Facebook, weather, just very basic. She doesn't take a whole lot of pictures. I just don't want to get her to outdated out a phone but she doesn't need the top of the line has everything phone either. Please help, I just need the simple basic reasons they are different so I can make the right choice. I hope I am posting this in the right place. If not I'm sorry Thank you for just reading this and if you can helping. [link] [comments] |
