| My iPhone XR is possessed by the devil Posted: 25 Sep 2020 06:33 PM PDT It began when I dropped it full on the concrete a few days ago (Yes, very dumb, I know); fortunately, it was wearing a screen protector, or so I thought. However, a few days later it starts swiping towards and opening random apps, typing random letters, it's even come close to sending an email with random letters (think 'bbbbbb' 'mmmb', etc..) It's gotten to the point I can't even use this properly anymore, and this is incredibly distressing as unfortunately my phone is an incredibly important part of my life right now. | Posted: 26 Sep 2020 12:21 AM PDT Android user here... I need to transfer some photos from an iPhone to my laptop. They are grouped together as albums and I need them as albums on my laptop. Photos allows me to transfer photos to my laptop but not the albums as a whole. Any third party app requires me to buy the app before I can transfer the albums. TL;DR - I need to transfer Apple Albums as folders to my laptop and have no way of doing so... [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 25 Sep 2020 08:37 PM PDT Iv tried everything I know to try. Hard rest, dfu mode reset, different cables, different ports, updated iTunes. And it's still not restoring it boots off about half way sometimes and sometimes it just won't attempt it at all [link] [comments]  |

There is an absolutely insane amount of background noise. Does the selfie cam use a different mic than the rear cam, or do they both use the same mic when recording video? | Can't upload photos from iPhone to Windows PC Posted: 25 Sep 2020 04:05 PM PDT Every time I try to connect iPhone 11 Pro Max to my PC to upload photos I either get a "trouble connecting" error or, it will show all the photos on my iPhone to back up but when I go to upload photos it crashes and says "oh no we've run into an error" and nothing gets uploaded. It was working literally a week ago too. iTunes and Windows have been fully updated, as has the Windows Photos app, my iPhone is on 14.0.1, using the cable the phone came with, I've restarted both devices, reset permissions and "trusted" my laptop multiple times but nothing is working. | IT tech here - looking for a hard reset cheat sheet Posted: 25 Sep 2020 01:39 PM PDT Hello, Im an IT tech where we do a ton of configuring and shipping new machines, as well as receiving old machines in to be disposed of. we get a ton of iPhones and iPads from users that need to be wiped and reset before we dispose of them. does anyone here have access to some sort of an official cheatsheet for the button configuration and hard resets on each model of iPhone/iPad? the devices we get in are locked and we have no passwords. ive scribbled down my own along the way but having something official to pass on to coworkers would help greatly [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 25 Sep 2020 01:20 PM PDT I'm critically, chronically short on local space. I've deleted unnecessary apps, but it only has a temporary affect on available space. It seems like Safari use increases the system file "Other" proportion—which is overwhelmingly the biggest section of my iPhone drive— whenever I free up space. That's the only theory I have. The problem is that I have a ton of Safari windows open that I don't want to bookmark and don't want to lose if I clear the cache. And there's too little room to actually upgrade from 12.4.5 right now. I don't store full resolution photos on my phone. Apart from that is there anything else I can do? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 25 Sep 2020 08:54 AM PDT For about 3 months ago, when I had my Apple Watch Series 3 (non-cellular) set to silent (not DnD, just the red button in control panel and not theatre mode), and my iPhone Xr also set to silent and DnD, my iPhone wouldn't react at all, but my Apple Watch would only vibrate on my wrist, when I get an iMessage or an incoming call.
