It is an iPhone SE 2016. I've bought it back in 2018. I got 32 GB version. So around 28 GB is available to me from me the very start. I've actually never updated iOS. I still got iOS 10. Proof So I am running out of Data storage recently and I don't want to empty my Photos and Videos. So I went into "Manage Storage" and my Photos and Videos take up about 11-12 GB. All the other Apps take up about 7 GB, a bit less than that. And because I only have Youtube and Whatsapp Apps, those are the only places that I needed to look up and see if there is some cache or extra data inside of them. In Whatsapp there is actually an additional 3 GB (even though in "Manage Storage" under "Documents and Data" it says 65 MB ). When we add up ALL OF THAT, I end up with around 22 GB. And the Phone says I used around 27-28 GB. Where is an additional 5 GB??!?! What am I missing? As you can tell I am the most basic phone user out there and since I didn't download apps at all and since I didn't 'touch' pretty much anything, I am amazed that I cannot see where my storage is being used. I never synced my iphone to itunes so I can't connect it to itunes and for whatever reason my pc doesnt even recognize my iphone when i plug it in with a usb. The usb is fine it works on outlets, my pc4, etc. So then I tried to go on icloud and erase everything from my phone but I cant even do that because I need to authenticate a code I can't find because I can't access my phone. I tried doing customer support but I cant even do that without authenticating my phone which I can't do! Whenever my anyone tries to send me an airdrop, I never receive the request. My Bluetooth is on, WiFi is on, airdrop mode is set to contacts only. I can send airdrops fine. This is not a new problem, it has never worked for me, even on my iPhone 8. I am currently downloading all my photos onto my computer as a backup, but I need help accomplishing the following: I want to delete all the photos off of my phone, without affecting anything in my iCloud. Afterward, if possible, I would like my phone to only keep the last 30 days worth of photos on it at any time, and automatically send the rest to the cloud and delete them locally. iCloud Photos has been a nightmare for me the last month, would appreciate any help. The problem is I like to listen to the radio while navigating Google maps with my iPhone. Since Bluetooth is connected, the map audio is routed to my car instead of the phone speakers. The problem is I like to answer phone calls with my car audio. I know on Android you can select if a Bluetooth device audio is 'media' 'calls' or both.Is there an option on iPhone for this? | Deleted files still taking up storage Posted: 26 Sep 2020 04:18 PM PDT Edit: I found the solution: This is a bug in iOS 14. OP: I downloaded a large .zip file from my Google drive because I needed one file from inside of there. I unpacked it using the "Unzip" app and then after I grabbed that file I deleted the .zip and the extracted folder again. The weird thing is that they never showed up in my recently deleted files section: https://i.imgur.com/MqmuOQQ.jpg And they also don't show up anymore where I deleted them. So where are they now and how do I get rid of them? The .zip is also still in Safari and I can't delete it from there either. https://i.imgur.com/PE20F6A.jpg I fear doing an iTunes backup and restore will also just backup and restore these files. Deleting the "Files" app doesn't clear up that storage either. I'm kind of at a loss here. Who would have thought that file management, a basic and fundamental function on any computer, could be made so complicated? iPhone 7 Plus iOS 14.0.1 Edit: I did a backup and restore via iTunes and the files are still there. | Apple Music issue, please help.... iPhone 11 (IOS 14.0.1) Posted: 26 Sep 2020 04:40 AM PDT So, I had to switch my region to my country in order to have a subscription. And I do have it for about 1-2 months now (after switching region). As you know, you cannot change your app store location while having a subscription. I accidentally clicked to change my region (from the notification that brought me) when I opened an app on the app store (from google) which was available on the US store only. But I am sure it did not work, since I could not see the app ("did not exist in my location"). After that I went to turn on some music on Apple Music, it would not play! I checked my subscription, it was still active. Restarting the phone doesn't help. I am thinking about canceling and re-activating my subscription, but, will the free trial continue after re-activating it? If you need more details/better explanation, please write a comment and I'll explain better... I need help:( P.S. the music plays when I turn on airplane mode, which is strange for me. When I'm using the Google Chrome app to search the web, if I switch the phone orientation from portrait to landscape, then back to portrait, the webpage no longer fills the screen as it had before. I've tried reloading the webpage, but that doesn't fix it. The only way to get it back to fill the screen is to completely retype the web address and navigate back to where I was. | iPhone SE 2020 keeps getting stuck with black screen Posted: 26 Sep 2020 03:26 AM PDT iPhone SE 2020 with iOS 14 (issue also happened with previous 13.6 and 13.7), purchased July 4th, 2020 at a FNAC store in Portugal. No problem in the first two months. After that, the device keeps getting stuck with a black screen when idle for some time (in my pocket, on a table). Only way to get over is a hard reset. Can't replicate. It happens 4 to 5 times a week, but has happened twice in the span of 2 hours. I have reset the phone at least 4 times with no recovery from backup and minimal apps installed, and it always occurs. After each event, a ResetCounter log appears with boot faults "rst force_off dblclk_to". Some panic logs also appeared in the first times this happened, with panic string: "panicString" : "panic(cpu 0 caller 0xfffffff0287bf794): \"apcie[3:baseband-pcie]::handleInterrupt: AF\/Link timeout linksts=0xab000000 pcielint=0x0000c000[...]" "panicString" : "panic(cpu 3 caller 0xfffffff028ccd168): AOP PANIC - Systick Watchog2 not pet ! - main(2)\nSystick Watchog2 not pet !\nRTKit: RTKit_iOS-1264.100.25.release - Client: AppleSPUFirmwareBuilder-233.100.7~2945[...]" but I have yet to see a panic log in these last events. The only related log event I can trace are those boot faults. I've taken the device to the store where it was bought, which sent it to their repair center, only to come back with a DFU Restore and indication to start the system anew without getting a backup. I've also consulted with too different Apple Premium Service Provide shops, both telling me they can't do anything since their diagnostics are all ok. There aren't any Apple Stores here.
