[Tip] I am getting unlimited personal hotspot usage through a tweak called “TetherMe” Posted: 01 Sep 2020 06:08 PM PDT Cox internet gives my family 1 terabyte of data per month. My family hits the 750 GB warning halfway through the month and then struggles to stay under 1TB and will inevitably will get charged extra. Today I wanted to download call of duty war zone which is ~150 GB and would definitely wind up costing us money on our next internet bill. I remembered that I have unlimited phone data and 10 GB of mobile hotspot data. I jailbroke my phone and installed a tweak called "TetherMe" which allows me to share my data without AT&T knowing it is a personal hotspot. This means I can do a personal hotspot from my phone, with unlimited data, without getting charged or throttled. I'm using a lightning cable to send internet from phone to pc, and windows built in hotspot feature to broadcast WiFi throughout the rest of my house for my family. I'm about 80 gigs into the download and AT&T has not registered any mobile hotspot usage. Thought I'd share because this could help someone out. [link] [comments]

[discussion] My experience upgrading from iOS 13.5 to iOS 13.7 Posted: 01 Sep 2020 04:57 PM PDT Hey reddit, thought I'd do a post about my experience updating to iOS 13.7 today from 13.5. I've got maybe about 100 packages installed, no issues when running 13.5 but I wanted to stay on it because of unc0ver, but then drama arose so I went back to checkra1n which was also a flawless transition. Using [[Batchomatic]]on cydia I was able to create an offline deb of all my packed, sources and Settings included, just, for the purpose of a clean iOS restore. It finished and I used [[SnapBack]] to restore rootfs as Checkra1n never seemed to work. The update finished and I jailbroke using checkra1n, opened cydia and installed [[Filza]] to install the deb file Batchomatic made. Opened Batchomatic by going into Cydia, search, top left you'll see a steering wheel icon beside the search bar. Tap that and then click 'Install deb'. I only had enabled install offline tweaks, all seemed to go well and it finished and then respringed. I was in safemode, then went to cydia and noticed there were 25 updates and 4 half installed packages. I use [[Zeebra]] for my package manager of choice, it too was having issues installing packages, so I went back into cydia and removed and reinstalled the 4 half packages with no issues. It seems like Batchomatic does not play nice with packages that have scripts attached to them. I'm now running iOS 13.7 with no issues whatsoever. My tweak list [link] [comments]

[Help] Iphone 7 won't go into recovery mode Posted: 01 Sep 2020 09:38 PM PDT I have 13.6 and I'm trying to jailbreak my phone on Linux with Checkra1n. When I connect my phone and press start it says it is going to put my phone into recovery mode however it just turns on and when I press the side button and volume down button to put it in dfu it just turns back on. Anyone know how to fix this? [link] [comments]

[Help] Phone is very hot and laggy Posted: 01 Sep 2020 04:05 PM PDT SOLVED: I uninstalled some of my recent tweaks then re jailbroke my device just recently switched from unc0ver to odyssey and i've noticed that my phone recently started to get hot and lagging a lot. I looked tons of different places, some told me to use icleaner (didnt work), others told me to uninstall reddit (still didnt work) so im kind of lost on what to do know and it's tempting to just unjailbreak my device. As im writing this it seems to be frozen and i'm kind of scared. If you can i would like some help... thanks beforehand

[Request] I need a control center module which when i press it, it makes my phone so laggy Posted: 02 Sep 2020 12:26 AM PDT Cops in my country are checking our phone even when we didn't break any rules. I need something to make my phone so laggy instead of frozen , so that the cops also will get fed up and leave me and my phone alone. [link] [comments]
[Discussion] Simplest Way To Jailbreak w/ Checkra1n On Windows Posted: 01 Sep 2020 11:21 AM PDT Doesn't need a USB stick. This is everything I did to get a Checkra1n jailbreak with no issues. Follow with me, I don't wanna see anyone missing out on jailbreaking because the install process is a bit difficult After seeing many tutorials and posts, I can guarantee this is the fastest way to a Checkra1n Jailbreak. Took me less than 25 minutes. After encountering plenty of errors in previous attempts at jailbreaking, installing linux to dual boot, linux not starting up correctly, etc, on another computer, I realized this was the fastest way I've ever done it, on my laptop with Nvidia Graphics. And yes, Linux did have an issue with Nvidia so it would freeze on the log in screen, but like I said, doing what I tell you below will get you past all those errors. All you need: Wubi Ubuntu installer for Windows Even though people say that it's outdated, it doesn't mean when you use it it won't work. There might be programs that are better. Open up Wubi, hit Ubuntu, install it to any drive. You don't need alot of space. Maybe around 16 GB in total. The ubuntu files are in 1 folder, so you can choose to do whatever with it when you're done jailbreaking. Install Ubuntu, finish. Restart your computer. Go into Boot Options, find Secure Boot. Disable it. Go to your boot order and boot into Ubuntu. Now it will finish installing on Linux Ubuntu. It will probably freeze near the end of the installation when it's "Reticulating Spines" No worries, power off your windows computer, reboot into linux ubuntu but when you get to the Linux Gui Boot screen, choose advanced options and boot into Ubuntu (recovery mode). If you don't choose recovery mode, you may encounter another freeze right as you enter your password or a minute into the log in screen. After choosing recovery mode, I encountered no more issues and I can jailbreak through the terminal. Like Borat says. Great Success [link] [comments]
