Thank you Apple. You changed my life.

    Posted: 06 Sep 2020 02:08 PM PDT

There is no so much to say other than the truth. And the truth is brief story of my complete change since I have got my first smart watch i.e. Apple Watch 5. Before I have a few reasons to wake up early. Now I have more than a dozen of reasons to wake up, start doing early errands of mine and warming up the engines to work out. I mean burning minimum 500 Active calories daily. I know it is not that much. But I am hitting up to 1000 calories in most cases. Since the first day I have got it, I am keeping my streak up which is 61 days as of now. And I believe it is just the beginning. I also want to thank you r/AppleWatch. You have inspired me. Thanks people.

Are all Apple Watch series 5 out of stock right now?

    Posted: 07 Sep 2020 08:25 AM PDT

I've been thinking about finally getting a series 5 watch and I've been looking through the ATT app and it's saying they've been out of stock for the past 3-4 days

need a recommendation: travel “nightstand” charger for apple watch

    Posted: 07 Sep 2020 08:13 AM PDT

so, i got one of these:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085ZHH7LW

(also, psa, don't get one of these).

    • it's cheap ("thin" plastic.)
    • too "light" (i do want it on the light end for travel, but a little more weight, so it stays where it's supposed to).
    • the angle (80°) is too close to vertical¹
    • i have no idea what dial on the back does
    • it doesn't fold (i'm not sure it has to to make me happy), but this does make it take up more room than it normally would
    • i do like that it's all black.
    • i do like that i don't need an apple watch cord, but instead it will charge with a micro usb.

¹ - i really do like the angle of the watch stand on my mophie 3-in-1, but, it also seems like it would snap in transit, plus, it's not very portable.

my google chops are not what they normally are on this one—can anyone point me in the direction of something that will make me happy?

Did your Apple Watch last for a full marathon with music?

    Posted: 07 Sep 2020 07:57 AM PDT

I'm going to be running my first full marathon in a couple of months (NYC virtual) and I'm concerned my series 2 battery will not last the full 3:30-3:45 hours while I am also listening to music via my AirPods Pro. If you have had success (or failure) with your Apple Watch running a full marathon I would love to hear your experience. Please include which version your watch is, which headphones you used, and how long your activity lasted. Come to think of it, I'm actually less interested in the distance you have run, and more so in whether or not your watch lasted for 3 hours and 45 min with GPS and music.

3rd part my running app with Split times?

    Posted: 07 Sep 2020 07:52 AM PDT

Are there any runners here that have used a 3rd party running app that will display additional data fields similar to those you would find on a Garmin unit during your activity? I'm looking to display the time of the current lap specifically so I know how long I have on a track interval workout. Thanks in advance!

    Won’t pair

My watch and phone were on iOS14 beta. I downgraded my phone back to 13 and I have no idea how to do it on the watch. Anyone know how?

I am excited where this journey will bring me. 2,5 weeks of completing my rings and dieting brought me from 133,3 kg ( 293.2 lbs ) to 125 kg (275 lbs ) at 1.88 m ( 6’2 ). Enjoying the progress !

Is there a way to force a 32GB Apple Watch to sync more than 8 GB of music?

What’s with the constant passcode requests?

    Posted: 07 Sep 2020 06:28 AM PDT

I want my passcode on. But every time I leave my phone untouched and don't check my watch I'm asked for a passcode. I've fiddled with all the settings, this seems very inelegant. The watch it snug on my wrist, sensor touching, wrist detection is on as is unlock via phone.

I would expect that from removing it from my wrist, that passcode appears maybe once a day. It's 2.30 and it's appeared 5 times. What am I doing wrong??? I'm not sure why I just assumed that Touch ID was built into the crown - that seems like a very Apple thing to do

I have a day with no data one day before I connected my Apple Watch. Is there any way to remove it? I can’t find any data to get rid of from that day.

What's the best way to store an unused watch?

    Posted: 07 Sep 2020 05:26 AM PDT

I have a 3rd gen Apple Watch which I haven't used for a while. I'll probably use it in the future, but in the meantime what's the best way to store it?

I've been keeping it always on in Nightstand Mode on a fancy stand on my desk, but I'm wondering if this may not be worse on the battery than keeping it switched off.

What do you guys think is best?
