    Why do I like it? It feels direct, with effortless touches instead of the sticky feeling of some other keyboard mechanisms. It's comparable to the keyboard of the iPhone in the sense that just a light tap can log a letter.

    Yes, it comes with problems such as dust and other things making keys stick down, (I've faced those problems twice, but after a clean it was gone) but I still haven't seen a case of permanent damage because of the keyboard (apart from that time with the recall)

    Suddenly no sound and not taking update...?!?

    Edit: Computer finally updated to Catalina. Still no sound. I'm going to try some of your suggestions and check back :/

    Hey all.

    Weird thing happening with my early 2015 MacBook Air. Suddenly the sound is not working. Worked just fine last night and now, nada. I didn't charge overnight, no updates installed; nothing changed between last night and today when all of a sudden there is no sound. I have tried the sound buttons F10–12 and manually in system preferences. It shows the "no" sign - 🚫. Just greyed out. Can't do anything. No sources shown in output nor input. There is a software update available, so I updated...except it didn't take the update. I am trying the update again - 35 minutes left. Hoping it'll take this time, but if not...???

    I have no idea what's going on. Just checking here before I have to contact Support or venture out to a store.

    I have a 2019 MacBook Pro and I dropped a water bottle on my MacBook charger by accident, the whole cord got wet and i quickly dried it off with a towel and i still have it out drying. I haven't tested it on my MacBook yet, it wasn't plugged in when I dropped the water on it. Do you think it will still be safe to use on my MacBook even when it dries?

    I've been trying to clear up my MacBook and have found I have like 40gb of 'other' data taking up space! How do I go about reducing this - I've been reading about Mac clean up software but every time I find one someone's saying it's a scam! Would really appreciate any help possible, thanks!

    Steam for Mac!

    Hello I'm trying to run Steam for my MacBook Pro 2016 it is currently running macOS Catalina Version 10.15.6

    It downloads but won't open.

    If anyone can walk me through it. It would be so helpful!

    Yes I've tried restarting the Mac, and re-downloading the program as well.

    Macbook Air is super hot!

    I recently just got a 2020 Macbook air (i5, 16gb) primarily for school. When I run Microsoft Teams for online classes this widget, Fanny, I run says that my cpu is at 95°C! In Activity Monitor, it says that only about 30% of my cpu is being used, which seems strange considering my fan is at max speed and the cpu is very very hot. Should i get this checked out or is this normal for a laptop to be this high? Thank you

    Should I get a screen protector for my MacBook Pro 13 2020

    I saw that some people have issues with screen protectors and how they peel off some of the screens coating, so I want to know is this still and issue. Also I saw some magnetic privacy screen protectors are those any better.

    Swap ssd from one macbook to another?

    My computer crapped out. If I buy another similar mbp and swap the harddrive from my dead computer to the "new" computer, will "new" computer be the same as the old one?

    Is my laptop broken? Or just my charger?

    I purchased my MacBook Air in 2018 and I would say I take pretty good care of it. I only really use it for school and streaming sites.

    A couple days ago, the light on my charger stopped working but it was still charging my laptop just fine. Now, my battery is at 3% and it has been for the last couple of hours. As soon as I take it off the charger, I get a popup that says my laptop will shut off if not plugged in to a power source.

    My laptop shows that the charger is connected and is currently charging; however, the battery percentage has not increased! I

    I tried restarting my laptop, and everything is up to date. I unplugged and plugged the charger back in and still, nothing.

    I'm extremely worried because I depend on my laptop for schooling. Everything is still closed, so I wouldn't even be able to bring my laptop in to an Apple store for a quick checkup.

    Any advice? Help !!

    Which Macbook should I go for? Air 2018 i5 or Air 2020 i3? both same SSD capacity. Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance!

    [Help] Is this worth fixing?

    Hi all, I've been given a MacBook Air (2013 I think) the screen is battered. Will link a photo in comments if I can. But no body knows any of the logins to be able to get into it. Is it worth repair the screen is there a way I can delete everything to set it up as a new Mac?

    I have a 2020 MacBook Pro, I've had it for about 2 months and the battery is horrible. It goes down 1% every minute. I have to always have it plugged in to use it because i already know the battery is going to drain very fast. I dont have the brightness high at all, I dont have the keyboard light on, I use safari and I have just been browsing the internet, I'm not doing anything crazy. Has anyone experienced this? How did you fix it?

    Buy a Locked Macbook Air 2019??

    Hello Guys!

    I found a guy in a local site that sells used items that sells his Apple Macbook Air (2019) for 400€. The only issue it seems to have (The laptop) is that it's LOCKED. I really don't know anything about MacOS but how difficult would it be to unlock it, really? I will get it to a professional to do it if I buy it.

    The seller has great reviews from the site and my overall experience with the platform is great. So, do you think it's a safe purchase or not?

    First time MBA owner questions. Please help!

    How do I monitor the thermals? I saw some youtube videos with thermals shown besides the battery on the top of the screen, how to I enable that?

    Is intel power gadget a good tool? Can it disable turbo like throttlestop?

    Is there a way to fully close an app/program after hitting the X button? I know it closes the window but i still need to "quit" the program/app for it to fully close, is there a work around this?

    How do I put the icons on the desktop? I saw someone on youtube from their empty desktop, they like swiped left and out comes all the applications/programs icons. How can I do that?

    Also, is there a way for me to enable the touch ID on the log in screen? Because after opening the MBA from shutdown, it does not unlock from touch ID, I still need to type in my password.
