- When entering a location in Apple Maps my iPhone will not auto fill in what I’m looking for or come up with suggestions. For example... McDon... phone should know I’m looking for McDonald’s and pull up multiple locations. A hard reset will fix this issue but only temporarily. Any advice?

It would appear anywhere between immediately as I plugged it in, or 40 minutes later. I've looked it up and read through everything, nothing has worked so far. I have an iPhone XR. I HAVE: -cleaned out my lightning port -restarted my phone multiple times -switched between two (Apple certified) cables, both of them still doing the same thing -switched power blocks -switched outlets -cleaned both cables -updated to the newest iOS Please help! It's getting incredibly frustrating and I'm scared I won't ever be able to properly charge my phone again. [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 04 Sep 2020 08:39 PM PDT My iPhone XS Max is now broken, it keeps rebooting itself (from apple logo to black then repeat), when I tried to update and restore it through iTunes I got an error 4013. I saw other posts about the topic but the thing is my phone is only a year old, it always had a case and barely had a scratch on it so I can't see how this could be a hardware issue. Especially since the cause was random, I basically had to shut down the phone since it was distracting me from working then when I tried to turn it back on it went into a reboot loop. I tried to let it reboot itself overnight but nothing happened, also I tried updating it and using different cables to iTunes but it sent me an error message. Can someone give me advise? | please please help!! :( storage still full after deleting 5000 pictures/videos Posted: 04 Sep 2020 03:50 PM PDT (kinda urgent i guess? kinda long, but please read bc i really need help) hey :( okay so i got an iphone 8 in the beginning of the year and lately it's been acting up a lot (taking a long time to turn back on after turning it off, stuff like that). i ran out of storage a while ago, and ignored it until a few days ago, but then i thought "oh hey maybe if i update my phone it'll work better. last night i backed up all my stuff to google photos (as i have done since 2017) since my photos app took up around 30 gb of data (i have the 64 gb plan, the rest of my space is mostly taken up by messages). a little while ago, i deleted 5000 pictures and videos from my phone, then deleted them from my recently deleted. it says there's zero pictures in my recently deleted but i still have like .5 gb of space, and photos is taking up just as much space as before, so i can't update my phone. has this happened to anyone else? is do i just have to wait a while for my phone to like process what's happened? is my phone just broken? i don't have the money for a new phone and the only way i can talk to my boyfriend is by texting him which sounds really lame but i'm in high school and we've texted like every day since june 2019 (basically in a ldr lmao). i just really really need help please, i frequently run out of storage and delete a bunch of pictures and this has never happened. thank you if you read all this :( edit: i've tried turning it on and off lmao [link] [comments]  |

Whenever I have a voicemail and I lift the phone to my ear, the screen goes dark and the voicemail stops/pauses. Plays fine over the speaker. It's been this way for awhile and not just iOS 13. Posted: 04 Sep 2020 12:55 PM PDT First problem: I can't hear anything out of my left AirPod, even when I put it on full volume I can barely hear it. I cleaned it a bunch of times but that didn't work. Any suggestions? Second Problem: It's kind of confusing. When I connect my AirPods the volume shows AirPods but when I go to watch a video it's suddenly really loud and I can't turn down the volume. I checked the volume thing and the symbol was a Bluetooth symbol. I put the volume on mute and there was still sound. Even when using the buttons for the sound the lowest it goes down to it the first setting of volume (sorry this is a bad explanation). And that is still super loud. Not sure what to do. I've got an iPhone XR (got it summer 2019) and regular AirPods (got them February 2020). Also my WiFi and internet are super crappy, I don't know if that's what's wrong? I've never gotten this message before since the first iPhone came out and it won't go away. Does anyone know what this is about? | iPhone 6S stuck in recovery mode after starting a reboot loop Posted: 04 Sep 2020 09:21 AM PDT iPhone 6S, currently running 13.6.1, out of warranty. Started this morning with a reboot loop, phone would restart itself every few minutes. I tried updating through the phone, unable to complete (because it restarts itself in the middle). Tried resetting (power + home button) etc no change. Plugged into iTunes, may have successfully completed a backup somehow. Attempted to update via itunes, it failed a few times and ended up getting itself stuck in recovery mode during an update attempt. Then i downloaded the ISPW of 13.7 and tried updating that way via iTunes without success or status change. It gets to the apple screen with the loading bar, reboots while loading bar is at 0%. I spoke with Apple support via the phone, all they could suggest was take it in somewhere for repairs. Called a repair shop, the best I could hope for is a full factory reset from them, which I could probably figure out anyways for free. At this point I won't be heartbroken if the phone can't be saved long term, but I'd like to transition properly to a new phone. I've got 2FA set up for a lot of stuff, and may or may not have an itunes backup. Any suggestions to either repair the phone, or get it working long enough to salvage the data? [link] [comments]  |

To clear it, I have to open the app and open the text message. Can I have it clear the reb bubble as soon as I open the app? Many texts are short and I can read them from the main messages list view. | Posted: 04 Sep 2020 08:13 AM PDT I got my 11 Pro Max about 5 months ago. Everything worked fine until now. It appears that Face ID randomly stops working and returns back to normal after some time. Soft resets and hard resets are not helping at all, when it stops working I have to wait until it works again regardless if I perform a soft or hard reset. Usually, if I use the phone in the sun it triggers the issue and it takes much longer until it comes back to normal. I can also reproduce the problem if I use the front camera in portrait mode for more than 30 seconds, after that the camera freezes and Face ID stops working. I have to lock/unlock the phone a couple of times until it works again or just wait 1 minute then it comes back to normal. I already performed a full OS restore through Finder and the issue is still present. At this point I think this is a hardware problem but I'm not 100% sure and that's why I'm trying to figure out if someone else had this problem. Edit: I forgot to mention the fact that when Face ID stops working the dot projector and infrared camera stop working as well. Some feedback would be greatly appreciated! [link] [comments]  |
