- Saw another user on r/iosbeta create a Macintosh widget using the Widgy TestFlight app. Had to make one myself. Looks amazing!(Link to original post below)

- Control Center UX Should Be More Similar to Home Screen UX! We could effectively get an 'app drawer' of CC toggles that we could drag up and down into CC if we wanted/didn't want them.
- Why does the stocks app only show After Market prices and neglects to show the Pre-Market prices?
- Dear Apple, can we get rid of the left half and have a 2x2 widget?
- I really wish Apple would let us use images instead of symbols/colors. I did the best I could, any suggestions? Each shortcut opens the title in the corresponding streaming app.

Why does the stocks app only show After Market prices and neglects to show the Pre-Market prices? Posted: 09 Sep 2020 05:03 AM PDT Seems weird that they don't show pre-market prices considering they already show the after-market ones? Also strange that I believe Apple Stocks gets it's stock data from Yahoo Finance which shows both pre and after market prices. [link] [comments]

IOS updates parts of itself even if you never update it. Posted: 09 Sep 2020 05:20 AM PDT Let me explain what i mean here. There is this belief around that unlike Android, which constantly updates it self on your phone through silent "G.play services" updates, IOS can only be updated when the user decides to allow a system update like 13.2 or smaller ones like 13.6.1. I don't know how this myth spread out but do you really think Apple would leave you so much control over your device? Of course not. Your iOS is silently updating parts of itself even if you choose to never install any major or minor OS update. There's even proof of this in Settings->Cellular->System Services->Software updates. The megabytes here indicate how much data your device has used over cellular to download silent iOS updates (very similar to google play services). If you are someone who uses wifi a lot and updates IOS regularly whenever a new version comes out than this number will be very small because you are getting those small "hidden" updates already packaged in the big ones you're performing. If you like to keep your phone on older IOS versions for some time and rely on cellular data much more than wifi than you'll see a lot of megabytes here. What this value does not indicate: -Apps updates [Try updating some apps over cellular and you'll see this value does not change] -Carrier version updates [Carrier version updates will never be 700mb] -Major iOS release update cached in the background for you so you're ready to install it when you decide to [You can allow those updates to only be fetched over wifi] [link] [comments]

Condensing folder pages to remove gaps Posted: 08 Sep 2020 10:08 AM PDT So I've done a search on this and only found a 3yr old thread where the answer is no. I have many folders with many gaps in them. Can we still not get them to automatically condense themselves, removing the gaps and reducing the number of pages? If not can anyone speculate as to why? It seems like a major oversight. Many thanks to you all in advance. [link] [comments]
