    No XR cellular service after IOS 14 update

    Long story short, my boyfriend updated his iPhone XR to iOS 14 and immediately had no service after. It said "cellular service needs updated" so we plugged it into the Mac and updated, and no change. We did this twice along with resetting network carrier and no luck. We even went to the Apple store today with the same outcome. The guy basically said it's a $400 fix. This doesn't make sense to me, had anyone had this issue and fixed it? He absolutely needs cell service for work, and he would like to fix it rather than trading it in for $270. Were not in a good financial situation and buying a new phone isn't something we'd like to do. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!

    Why are my rings faded? When I touch it it goes to a black screen. Another app on the face stopped working as well. Tried shut downs and closing apps.

    I found an old MacBook for $100 on a marketplace, I upgraded to a 256SSD (from 250HDD) and I also put 2 4x4GB of RAM in it, finding out that the 2nd slot of RAM doesn't work, so I'm wondering, can I use a single stick of 8GB or even 16GB in one slot? Thanks for the help

    Looking to use an external usb mic (Zoom H1n) to improve audio quality on iPad Pro 1st gen. Would it work?

    -iPad Pro 1st gen, 12.9"

    • Looking to improve audio quality a bit for work and for online music lessons. These will be on iPad for easy portability between rooms (and I have no laptop)
    • The Zoom H1n has batteries in it so it can supply its own power, which shouldn't be a problem that I've seen other people talking about with their usb mics.
    • the zoom H1n manual says a camera to lightning adapter is necessary for iOS connections.

    Based on the above, it should work, right? Buy an adapter, connect the H1N, power it by battery, and I've got some better audio input?

    Trying to delete these tracks on my phone from iTunes Windows, but I can't seem to find an option to delete. Already deleted them on my phone (currently runing iOS14), but the itunes on windows still recognize they exist. Currently using iTunes Version 12.10.9.3 on windows.

    Facetime on an iPhone bought in the UAE

    Bought an iPhone in the UAE and then travelled to my home country. FaceTime is blocked in the UAE, now that I left the country I am trying to activate FaceTime, but not able to. Anyone faced the same issue and was able to activate FaceTime?

    Iphone Xr Screen Burn in

    Hello Everyone! I have a Iphone Xr that I have had for a bit over a year. Ive been noticing that there is some screen burn in in certain parts of the screen, especially noticeable on dark backgrounds. Is there any way to fix this burn in? Or any sort of warranty from apple? I do have a phone replacement warranty with T mobile but i doubt it will cover this.

    How likely is my drive to be wiped if I send my MacBook Pro for battery replacement?

    My 2015 MacBook is under recall for a defective battery. I have to send it for a battery replacement. The case is bulging, perhaps because of the swelling battery. One of the thunderbolt ports doesn't make good contact. Perhaps they'll have to replace more than just the battery.

    My individual files are already backed up. But if I know for sure that they'll wipe my drive, I'll get an external drive to make a Time Machine backup so I can restore the laptop to exactly the way it was. Hence my question.

    WINDOWS MAC NEEDS TO TURN BACK INTO MAC OS

    Ok so i boot camped Windows 10 on my mac and deleted mac so the entire dive is dedicated to Windows. Now i want to get mac os back on my computer and delete windows, but the screen of my computer is broken so when i try to boot it up with Cmd + R i can't see anything because i use a monitor and the monitor isn't receiving anything.

    HOW DO I DELETE WINDOWS AND GET BACK MAC OS PLEASE

    Can anyone suggest what went wrong when trying to update to iOS 14?

    I downloaded iOS tonight to update, backed up my phone, and started the update process. Partway through I got a couple of conflicting error messages: one said 'iTunes can't be open for the install to take place' and the other was a warning about closing iTunes and that it would cancel the install.

    I closed iTunes, which I think was the mistake, and then couldn't reopen it and got the 'iTunes cannot be opened because it is updating' error, and then all of a sudden my phone screen popped up with the 'restore' screen, the Apple support website and the cable graphic. I restarted my MBP and was able to get into iTunes again.

    I've tried restoring the phone on both my Macbook Pro, which didn't work and after the software finished extracting it would pop an error message about 'The software could not be updated because the iPhone could not be found', and my Mac mini (currently downloading).

    Fortunately I have a backup from earlier this evening, which is why I'm going the restore route, but does anyone know what happened? Fwiw I am using an actual Apple usb cable that I've had no problems with.

    Any help would be great, I really didn't need to brick my phone tonight :(

    I want to replace the 2x 4GB modules by a single 16GB module for now, so that I later can upgrade to 32GB.

    Can I install a single 16GB module and leave the other slot empty or do they have to be installed in pairs?

    I need help. Several years ago I got rid of my iPod (5th gen?) and dumped all my photos and videos onto my computer. I backed most of them up but a ton failed to upload. The reason is that somehow, some videos appear as a PNG or JPEG file type and some pictures are turned into 10 second videos for whatever reason.

    The JPEG and PNG videos won't upload to youtube, google photos, or anywhere else. However, I am able to open it up in VLC media player without issue. Nothing else like Windows Media player or realplayer won't open them.

    Some pictures have turned into 10 second videos of just the till image. Also, this is only able to open in VLC media player and I can't upload it to YouTube or Google photos.

    What can I do to correct these file types? About 10 gigs worth of files.
