    There should be a “Offloaded” Folder that contains all your Offloaded apps in your library

    The standard App Library folders in iOS 14 are cluttered with unused/offloaded apps when they should really be in their own separate folder at the bottom.

    iOS 14 beta 6 | Getting 24h of screen time for Google Drive, an app I don't even have installed, for the past few days. Even putting limits on it doesn't help. Anyone know the cause of this?

    I had been working with the Siri app suggestions widget thinking it allows me to delete home screens but I realized Siri suggested apps already is here by default:

    1. Spotlight search brings app suggestions below it
    2. The App Library's first tile

    On top of this you can add the widget:

    1. In any Home Screen
    2. In today view (this one can be accessed while phone is locked)

    So I've been using this feature on my Home Screen even though it's available in other places

    Developers should be able to display a view that shows off a widget the users can add to their Home Screen.

    If you're thinking that they can simply recreate the view for an in-app display, it's not that simple. You have to make the view properly sized which varies on a per screen basis, round the corners to a specific size and certain elements scale differently in widgets than they do in apps.

    The view should take two input. The view or widget to show and the widget size.

    In addition to that, I was thinking that it'd be nice if the view also, when tapped, would allow the user to add it to the Home Screen or today view.

    That way, you could show off your best widgets to your users without excessive code or bugs.

    [Question] - getting my Homepod to respond to personal requests after installing nw iOS Beta

    Whenever I install a new beta (I'm on the public beta) my Homepod stops responding to personal requests (adding to lists etc), saying that I have to turn on location sharing on my phone.

    I've tried turning location sharing off and on again (with and without a restart in between) but I can;t find a sure-fire way to quickly get this functionality back. Any tips?

    In the past it came back eventually after much random flipping of toggles, sharing location from another device etc etc. that I would like to try and avoid.

    As you guys might have noticed, on iOS 14 beta 5 and 6, the YouTube app started to support PiP on arbitrary videos. So I did some digging to see if the stats for nerds and debug info of those specific compatible videos and incompatible videos will shine some light on the potential triggers. As I have tested, specific downloaded videos go into PiP mode on iPhone consistently and the iPad as well but only in fullscreen mode. And here are some video properties that were identical on PiP-compatible videos and were different from PiP-incompatible videos. Do what you will with these data. Enjoy!
