Amazon video profiles on AppleTV Posted: 08 Jul 2020 02:42 AM PDT So the new profiles feature for Amazon prime Video showed up for me on iOS, but I can't get it to work on tvOS. In the faq, Amazon states that is is coming to unspecific living room devices. Did someone get it to work or show up on AppleTV? [link] [comments]
Apple TV not supported on smart TV Posted: 08 Jul 2020 03:04 AM PDT I have an LG Smart TV I got back in 2017 but it is not supported for the Apple TV App. Have apple given a time frame on when other smart TV's will be supported? [link] [comments]
How to hide photos from Apple TV? Posted: 08 Jul 2020 01:27 AM PDT I just bought an Apple TV and would like to set it up on the shared tv that my flatmates share and use. I don't want them to have access to my entire photos library. What are my options? I've done a bit of research but it seems like even though it prompts for a password enabling iCloud photos through the photos app, it can be enabled through the settings app at any time. There must be a way. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jul 2020 04:55 PM PDT So I was thinking of switching to spectrum and I decided not to finally. I received Apple TV's that I did not ask for. Should I return them? I never gave information, or bank statements. Only home address. [link] [comments]
HDMI Input Flicks on Match Frame/Rate Posted: 07 Jul 2020 09:53 PM PDT Is it possible to have the settings for match frame rate and range enabled and not have the HDMI input flick issue as video content starts? I'd rather have these settings on but I hate how l it feels to go from UI to video content and have the HDMI input flick off and on. Funny enough I went with a few months without my soundbar (sent for repair) thinking that was the issue, then I bought a newer tv thinking that was the issue (needed a newer one anyway); to discover it is all caused by these settings... Posted: 07 Jul 2020 10:04 AM PDT Is it possible to watch Sky Sports on Apple TV's in the UK? I currently have an old PlayStation and use the Sky Go app which is great! But I'm getting rid of the PlayStation and am trying to work out another way of watching Sky (connecting to the dish isn't an option - I'm using my parents Sky Go login as I don't have Sky myself!). Posted: 07 Jul 2020 03:36 PM PDT First of all, this isn't a shit post on Apple. I love Apple TV. it has great picture quality and a easy-to-use UI. But the HDCP error messages are unacceptable. It doesn't happen often but it happens enough. The only fix I've seen is either unplug the ATV or switch HDMI ports. I use a high-speed cable and I have a relatively new 4K tv (2018). Every time I switch my tv on I expect it to work 100% of the time. Is this an unacceptable demand in the modern era of tv watching? I mainly see this error message on Disney + and Netflix [link] [comments]

Posted: 07 Jul 2020 12:08 PM PDT Recently got an Apple TV+ subscription for getting a new iPhone, downloaded the app on Firestick, but I am unable to get sports on the Firestick app. I can watch live sports on my phone, however, and I'm wondering if there's restrictions on the Firestick app for live tv. Sorry if this has been asked before, I cannot find an answer online. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jul 2020 01:38 PM PDT I know I can say "Search YouTube for ...." and it works, but there's some apps that don't work like that. For example, I used to be able to click into an app (say spotify), go to the search, and while in that field could say something "Queen - Don't stop me now" and it would search it. Now if I do that, instead of searching, it just goes searches within siri (meaning it no longer types it in the search field like it used to). What did I break to enable this? [link] [comments]

AppleTV unable to find any wifi network Posted: 07 Jul 2020 05:45 AM PDT I've now been trying to connect my series 3 AppleTV to a wifi network for almost an hour now. I've tried all wifi bands, channels, hotspots and all the common tips (restarting, restoring etc.). The problem in short is that the AppleTV cannot connect to any wifi network. I mean ANY wifi network (I tried multiple and checked everything worked on the router side). The AppleTV is not deffective as it worked a few weeks ago just fine. It's been sitting off for a few weeks when I was away from home and now when I'm back I'm unable to use it at all because of this. If you have any ideas on what I should do, please leave a comment. Please note that I cannot: Connect via ethernet, Update the device, Restore to factory defaults. Also note that the AppleTV is not in the list of deffective units (I checked the serial number) and it worked a few weeks before. No damage or modifications to the hardware have been made. Can I Pair the new Siri Remote with Apple TV 2nd gen? Posted: 07 Jul 2020 12:43 PM PDT Hello fellow Redditors. I have a question. I have a Herrenthal Smart TV but the Smart TV Function sucks! I decided to get an Apple TV because I already have an iPhone 11 Pro and a MacBook Pro 2011 15". Thats why I bought an Apple TV 2nd gen over on Shpock today. My question is: Can I pair the new Siri Remote, that is made out of Glas, with my Apple TV 2nd gen? If yes I would love to get my hands on one of these newer remotes because the old plastic ones look horrible. Thanks for Reading. Edit: and what is the difference between Apple TV 2nd and 3rd gen?
