Could Apple keep iPhone 11 supported for >6 years? Posted: 27 Jun 2020 02:10 PM PDT Since the iPhone 11 series has such a powerful chip paired with future iOS updates getting less demanding (more incremental) every year compared to a few years ago, would it be possible for Apple to continue support for this model (and newer phones) for much longer than previous iPhones? Apple is also pushing for hardware to last longer as to reduce e-waste and we've slowly seen iOS support for older iPhones creep up from 4 years to 5 years and so on. We've seen Apple adapt to reduced iPhone sales over the years by pushing into selling services, perhaps they'll accept people don't want to buy new iPhones as often anymore and continue pushing updates for those people so their phones can last a few years longer. What do you guys think? [link] [comments]

I bought a 64gb iPhone in 2020, and its one of the worst mistakes I have ever made... Posted: 27 Jun 2020 03:10 PM PDT I "upgraded" from my 128gb iPhone 7 and my iPhone 11 Pro Max is cool and all, but one thing that keeps me from enjoying this phone is lack of storage. I could keep every picture I ever took, every app, neccesary or not, downloaded and every playlist I made in Spotify, without having to worry about running out of storage - but 64gb in 2020 is just too little. After deleting bad pictures, unneccesary apps and removing every playlist from downloads, this damn phone only has ~10gb left. And I wish I could've waited 2 more weeks to collect some more money and buy 256gb model. [link] [comments]
