    Usage is showing my CPU is running at 97%-100% it’s been like this ever since updating. Before iOS 14 it was always a max of 50% for a split second but this was for 100 captures of CPU data over 3-5second intervals

    [Analysis] Dev Beta 2 likely to release July 6, Public Beta July 11

    Hi all. I got a little curious, so I tabulated the release dates of iOS betas with a bit of DuckDuckGo-fu. Based on some patterns (and accounting that, y'know, Apple might not release on weekends), I predict Developer Beta will release on July 5 (or Monday July 6), and the public beta July 11 (or Monday July 13). From there, public release seems to wiggle too much to give a definite answer.

    Here's the raw results, with differences relative to WWDC:

    As you can see, the 2nd developer beta - without two hiccups in iOS 10 and 11 - seems to be stable about 15 days. Likewise, it seems pretty likely that the public beta has stabilised on 21 days. I'm hardly an Apple insider, so don't take this as gospel, but I hope this is useful info if you're on the fence on grabbing dev profiles or looking forward to bug fixes and feature releases. Happy home screen re-arranging!

    [Feature]?[Bug]? My work phone (Samsung Galaxy S9) activates Apple Pay on my iPhone (8+ iOS 14 B1)

    Really weird behavior that I'm guessing has to do with the new NFC stuff, that I'm pretty sure hasn't happened before. With my S9 sitting on top of my iPhone, if I move the S9 up off of the iPhone by dragging it towards the top, Apple Pay activates. I'm nowhere near touching the home button.
