| Starting screen recording in an app with audio Posted: 28 May 2020 07:29 PM PDT I just had a problem with screen recording. I wanted to record a conversation so I went to the control center and tapped on the record icon. The problem is that the video has no audio. I made a few short recordings afterwards and noticed that this happens only when you start recording inside of any app while speaker is working. It has nothing to do with activating the microphone. I use an iPhone XR with iOS 13.3.1. Did I write the whole thing correctly? If not, please comment my mistakes. [link] [comments]  |

We've both checked and we haven't inadvertently blocked each other. Tried resetting networks deleting contact and readding them as well. Nothing works at all. | Phone making FaceTime calls on its own?? Posted: 28 May 2020 07:29 PM PDT Tonight I set my phone down on the coffee table and went out to the kitchen to talk to my husband. After a little while, I thought I heard talking, but brushed it off and figured maybe I left my Instagram stories playing or something? Well then my phone rang and it was my mom asking if I'd been calling her. Uh, no? Then I got a text from my niece asking me what was going on. ...nothing? Turns out my phone started repeatedly FaceTiming them both and taking screenshots while doing it. My niece swears she heard breathing, too, but it was also sitting near the baby monitor screen and we play white noise so I'm assuming that's what that was haha But, like, is this a thing that happens sometimes or should I be more concerned?? How do I make it never happen again? I wasn't anywhere near my phone while it happened. It tried to FaceTime both of them twice and I have four weird screenshots in my photos from it that I did not take. [link] [comments]  |
| Slow loading with a weird ‘fix’ Posted: 28 May 2020 06:43 PM PDT So my iPhone X on iOS 13.4.1 loads stuff so slow. Whether it be Reddit, Instagram, email, etc. for example, whenever I updated the sorting type from Hot to new, it shows a blank screen with loading symbol. It's sits there for ever sometimes never changing. However weirdly enough I've found that pulling down the control center while it's loading allows the page to instantly load up. So for the past week whenever something isn't loading right away I flick down the control center and flick it back up. I'm not sure what this even is. I've restarted several times, tried disconnecting from wifi and it still persists. [link] [comments]  |

| What are the chances of my iPhone 7+ being recovered Posted: 28 May 2020 12:50 PM PDT So a couple of months ago I turned off my phone and it never opened again. When I try to open it, it shows a white screen with an Apple logo until it runs out of charge. I've tried the recovery method update thing and it didn't work. I can reset it with my computer but if there's a chance of me getting my data from that phone, I don't want to do that. What are my chances of getting my data back? So my question is, is there a way to take a picture using one of the buttons on the side of the phone? My old iPhones used to have a feature like that, you hit the volume down button and it took a picture. That feature would be so helpful now, as my 8 plus is so big and I have small hands so it's hard to take a picture using only one hand [link] [comments]  |

Whether I am on wifi or calling over network, and regardless whether it's a regular call, facetime video/audio, or even zoom, the people I am on the call with will hear my audio cutting out. This happens quite frequently, and happens in the middle of speaking. I cannot figure it out. The phone is up to date, it's been restarted, etc, but there has been nothing to improve this. The fact that it happens regardless of network/application makes me think it's a phone hardware issue; however, if the mic was bad or something I would just assume my outgoing audio wouldn't work at all. I'm trying to upload 26,000 pictures from my iPhone 11 (that was previously transferred from my iPhone X). Anytrans hasn't worked, when I try to upload them to my computer the importing pictures and video application freezes, I can't backup my phone on iTunes (it literally doesn't recognize that I have pictures on my phone). I leave tomorrow for a month, and would like to free up some space on this bad boy. Please help! 1. iPhone model and iOS version iPhone 11 pro 256gb , 13.5 firmware 2. Purchase date, country and nature of purchase I got it today. 3. What is the issue, how often does it occur and how to replicate it? This has been an ongoing issue! Posted: 28 May 2020 02:04 PM PDT I have 3 tiny (and I mean tiny) black dots on my screen which are only really noticeable as they're on the keyboard - can't see on black screen. I'm guessing it's the LCD and I have dropped it a few times so it's my fault - my question is is it likely they'll expand and break my entire screen eventually or if I solemnly swear to be super careful will they just stay like this small and not grow? | iPhone Not Backed Up notification spam Posted: 28 May 2020 01:51 PM PDT I have an iphone 7 with the latest software update installed and I keep getting notifications saying "iPhone Not Backed Up" which comes up frequently. Sometimes I'll just be on an app and two notifications saying the same thing come up one after the other, which can get kind of annoying. Also when I swipe down to get to my notification screen a new "not backed up" notification immediately comes up taking the spot of the latest notification that was there. I've already backed up my iphone multiple times to my computer, and I even turned off icloud backup so I'm not sure how else I could fix this problem. | Using Siri To Announce messages Posted: 28 May 2020 07:02 AM PDT I was watching one of those Youtube videos this morning were they suggest changing certain settings to make your IPhone more useful. One of these tips were to get seri to announce messages and read them to you whenever you're wearing Airpods. I thought great, that will come in handy, I'll enable that, but I can't find the toggle to turn it on. I followed the video and it should be on top of the notifications but it's not there. I'm not sure if it's because I don't have 'Hey Seri' voice enabled or just the fact that this particular feature isn't available in the UK yet. Anybody else in the UK able to use this feature? I managed to unlink the iPad from her number but now with the addition of the other phone he is now getting texts that my mom gets on his phone and ipad. It's not that old but it's had a lot of use and more than a few tough drops etc, and it's starting to get really slow and scratched etc I want to buy a new phone but there's seriously so many options and I really don't know what to go for. I intend to watch some videos and do some research myself but if anybody could point me in a direction. I could afford a grand for one like the 11 pro, but it would be quite expensive for me if that makes sense. Not rich at all. I don't need much ' power' or anything, I'm not a photographer, or a music producer or any of that. I just call, text, social media, play games, listen to music and watch netflix on my phone. So in that sense is there any point in getting say an 11 pro over an 11, or even that over an X? What's the difference between the X, XR and XS as well? I would normally assume more expensive is better but they're all similarly priced as well. As you can see I am very confused and any help would be much appreciated haha Thanks [link] [comments]  |
| Need to do full data backup to a local windows computer for an iphone Posted: 28 May 2020 08:52 AM PDT I've been investigating a decent amount. and it seems like itunes and icloud both don't offer solutions for this. A lot of data and app data isn't backed up. I need it to backup every single digit of binary and be able to do a full restore to the same and/or different device. So far I've found 3 third party solutions, Imazing, copytrans, and anytrans. I'm not quite sure which of these is the most reputable or safe. Does anyone have an advice? [link] [comments]  |

| iPhone 11 Stuck in Recovery Mode Posted: 28 May 2020 04:29 AM PDT Hi everyone. This is my last resort. About 8 hours ago I put my iPhone 11 in DFU mode (factory reset) because I've been having serious problems with storage (storage kept filling up with "other" category and progressively expanding for an unknown reason). Now my iPhone is stuck in recovery mode. I had backed it up on iTunes right before and was planning to restore from that, and now it's been stuck in recovery mode for the last 8 hours. I read that it can take up to 20 online, but this is giving me serious stress and I'm worried I permanently messed it up. Please help. I can't get in touch with Apple Support because my phone is straight up not turning on. I've only had it for about 4 months. Thanks so much.
