| Posted: 30 May 2020 10:48 PM PDT Hey, I appreciate any help. My iPhone 8 has been acting up these past few days and the symptoms all seem to point to water, but the circumstances are strange. The first thing I noticed was that neither camera is working properly. The rear camera doesn't work at all, and the front camera is extremely blurry. The front lens is white and looks like it's covered in bubbles, so I assumed that the issue was water. A couple of hours later, the sides and rear camera got really hot, and the phone began showing the classic "Temperature: iPhone needs to cool down..." thing. The screen is also covered in a bunch of horizontal black lines. All of this started Friday night, and while I'd been tubing down a river with some friends on Wednesday, my phone hadn't been anywhere near water since. Once it started acting up, I removed the SIM card and turned it all the way off for 24 hours. Just turned it back on to check, and nothing has changed -- I can only use the phone for up to 30 seconds before it overheats and stops me from continuing. Just wondering if there's anything I could do to get it back into somewhat usable shape? Again, thanks for any help -- I promise I'm not a total novice, haha, just have no clue what to do from here. I, for The life of me CANNOT get past the id scan on the apple pay section of the wallet app. It keeps saying U.S. document only or something and it's confusing the life out of me. I'm not in or from the u.s. so I have no idea why it would even say that. But the real problem lies in the id scan itself. I have tried several times to scan both of my id cards only to get the invalid id message an innumerable amount of times. Is there any way to skip this or something? I just can't do it even with my two perfectly normal ids. Does the U.S. only message mean anything? Am I screwed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've looked and asked multiple places and I just can't find answers. I'm on the verge of ripping my hair out and having a mental breakdown. I've been trying to figure this out for almost 3 excruciatingly long days. If you know absolutely anything on this subject, PLEASE HELP! [link] [comments]  |
| My iPhone 7 got a black screen again. Posted: 30 May 2020 09:32 PM PDT Friday my phone was fine and it was dying so I put it on the charger while I was using it, it said it was charging but the percentage was going down. Then it turned off and wouldn't turn on or charge it didn't even show on the screen that it needs to be plugged in. So I took it to the repair shop and they said it's the battery and they replaced it and everything was normal again. But it died and won't turn on or charger and nothing comes on the screen again. I've tried everything holding the sleep button and down volume button. Tried to plug it into iTunes nothing comes up. I already paid $60 for the battery and it has a 30 day warranty so I'm going to take it back. But it's clearly seems like it's not the battery. What could the actual problem be??? I don't have the funds to keep throwing money at this or get a new phone rn. [link] [comments]  |

When its connected to cellular data it works and the flickering on and off doesn't happen. I have a cover and screen protector. It's delayed by approximately 3 seconds. When sending a message and holding the record button it won't record anything until 3 seconds has passed. It's driving me nuts .. how do I fix this?? Completely locked out of iphone Posted: 30 May 2020 01:00 AM PDT Few days ago realized I didnt know my iphone password because I only use face id but i could still do it without thinking about it, so i decided id have to pay attention and try to remember to think about it but i never did and forgot so i still have not remembered the pw, tonight i again realized i didnt know the password so i started trying to guess it while using my face after 1 or 2 missed trys, and then it ended up locking me out after doing that a few times and i realized i really fucked myself, from them ive been wating the time trying to guess different old passwords in my head and now it says i need to connect it to itunes, i did and its not showing up, I have sprint so im thinking i can take it to them? Do I need to contact apple? I honestly dont care about my pictures or anything ive had it for less than a year so will they be able to wipe it for me or am i screwed. Posted: 30 May 2020 03:20 AM PDT i have a 7plus I'm not using. shes dating a questionable character and i want to know that when i hand the phone to her her bf isn't going to be able to have either him or his friends hack it and get the data. I mean iphone says its gone, but is it really? so im looking online and there's this app called imyfone umate that im considering downloading that guarantees to permanently destroy all data so it can't ever be retrieved which is what i want. if he wasn't in the picture this wouldn't be an issue but i dont trust him or his friends. i gave some background info so ppl will understand why i want the data gone. hes got a bad past. thank u for any answers u can tell me. Im interested in if the software mentioned does what it says it will do and how hard it would be to recover the data, because he probably has those kind of connections to break ito it.
