| I can’t hear or speak during calls Posted: 09 May 2020 11:44 PM PDT I was walking home one day and I was beside my house on my phone using my data then, my phone asked if I wanted to turn location on for better wifi connection and I said yes. After that day my internet wouldn't connect for half an hour until it finally did. And when I got it back I went to call my friends on houseparty but I couldn't hear and they couldn't hear me. I just literally wanna watch anime at night during quarantine and my mom monitors how late i watch. I believe it's through our at&t carrier (although we do have Life360 but idk if that does anything) How do I prevent this? Do i just turn all of cellular off? | XS spazzing out and twitching like its being touched a lot Posted: 09 May 2020 05:07 PM PDT 1. iPhone model and iOS version XS on 13.3.1 2. Purchase date, country and nature of purchase USA on the date it was released from best buy for personal use 3. What is the issue, how often does it occur and how to replicate it? I noticed trying to back out of an app in the top left of the screen it wasn't registering touch. then it just started spazzing out like i was scrolling or touching everywhere. It eventually chilled out after sleeping it and waking it. But every couple of minutes it tweaks out again really crazy. when I try to text someone it scrolls up in their convo up and up. Someone sent me a message on IG and just trying to unlock the phone it opened the message and then started typing random shit and emojis. 4. What caused the issue? seemingly nothing. I have not dropped it or got water on it. It pretty much just sits on my couch next to me during all this. I live alone so its not like I have a kid that messed with it and isn't telling me. 5. What did you try to resolve the issue and what was the result? I cleaned off the screen. then tried holding side button to turn off, which was hard because the upper area of the screen doesn't always sense touch so I couldn't swipe it to turn off. then I did the vol up vol down side button hold to reboot. 6. Any other information you think might be useful. Over a year ago I cracked the screen and got it replaced at a third party repair place called UBREAKWEFIX or something. It was fine except when I put it on the wireless charger it would do this same ghost touching twitch thing but I brought it back to them and they said it may have been a shit digitizer. they replaced it and everything has been good since then. I also have a screen protector but its undamaged and clean and had not been a problem. [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 09 May 2020 05:15 PM PDT I have an iphone 5 here it has a permanent black screen tried force restarting it, force resetting it, and reconnecting lcd multiple times. The home button still works and so do all the buttons so im thinking its not an issue with the lcd. When i force reset the phone it throws up error 48. | How does auto-brightness work in conjunction with the brightness control in control center? Posted: 09 May 2020 10:15 AM PDT As the title says, I am curious to know exactly how auto-brightness works. When it auto-adjusts, does the brightness level adjustment bar in control center also move up/down the corresponding amount? It doesn't seem to afai can tell. Does the manual adjustment (when auto is turned on) just set a "range" or general level of brightness? Or does using the manual brightness control bypass auto brightness altogether? Just interested in understanding this feature a little better, as I do regularly tweak brightness manually but can appreciate the software bringing it down to save battery if I'm in the dark. | Posted: 09 May 2020 01:39 PM PDT So I'm using an iPhone 7 on iOS 13.3.1 and I'm so sick of the offloading feature. It seems like a really good idea and has a lot of potential but it's just horse shit. I was literally just using the mail app - which I use around ten times a day - and i didn't even close it down when switching to another app, and thats when it happened. I jumped back to the homescreen, everything was fine, I swiped right to another set of apps and swiped back (habit) and my iPhone suddenly decided that I don't need the mail app which is one of my most used apps, and starts to offload it while it was still open in the background. What the fuck?! Not only that, but it also started offloading the calculator app and the contacts app, both of which i also use a lot and both of which could be essential in an emergency. None of those apps take up much space and yet I still have a selection of games that I havent touched in months and take up gigabytes of data that haven't been offloaded ever. There must be an option to select which apps to keep forever? Or does Apple just not care? [link] [comments]  |
