| iPhone SE (2016) lock button not working, etc. Posted: 14 May 2020 03:36 PM PDT Pretty much the title. Last night, I noticed my phone's lock button (the one at the top) had stopped working. Pressing it has no effect on the phone. I even let the battery run down, and that didn't solve the problem. Any ideas? My searches online were largely fruitless. Another issue that suddenly arose was the phone went into a restart/reboot loop as well. It seemed the only way for it to snap out of the loop was to plug it in. | Posted: 14 May 2020 10:48 AM PDT My iPhone died, so I'd put it on charge. After turning on (I had to turn it on myself, I don't normally have to), it showed the Apple logo, then a black screen, then cycled between the two before showing me a screen with a link for support.apple.com/iPhone/restore. The link didn't help as the website tells me the only solution is to connect to iTunes & restore the phone, but the phone doesn't let the laptop do it's magic & gives an error code. Upon searching up said error code, I'm told to do the same as the link I was given told me to. Can't take it to an Apple store & I can't send it to them as they want me to pay. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 14 May 2020 02:00 PM PDT Quite often I'll press an image to make it full screen, sometimes end up longpressing it. When I do that I get some possible actions. The top of that action table is a list of frequent contacts. I don't want to accidentally send someone a random picture. Can I remove this option? [link] [comments]  |
| Bluetooth Speaker Making Calls Posted: 14 May 2020 11:13 AM PDT I have been trying for a while to see if there's any way to change the Bluetooth "shortcuts" my phone has with my Bluetooth speaker and headphones. Firstly I have an XR running iOS 13.3.1. The issue I have is that a number of years ago if I would double tap the power button on my Bluetooth devices they would skip to the next song, but for the last year or so if I double tap the power button on my devices it calls the last person I either called or was called by. This has become really annoying since I don't ever double tap the power button anymore but sometimes (because the buttons are a little finicky) it registers as a double tap when I'm holding the buttons to power off. Is there any way to change this or at least turn this shortcut off? [link] [comments]  |

| iPhone 7 - A1778 - Constant Restarting Posted: 14 May 2020 10:09 AM PDT Phone is out of Apple Care. Today I went to use my phone as normal and the home "button" didn't work. No problem, I thought. This has never happened before, but I'll just restart my iPhone. So I turned it off, and went to turn it back on. The apple logo appeared, then disappeared. I kept trying to turn it back on. I've realized it doesn't matter whether I push the power button or not, every 5 seconds the Apple logo appears, stays illuminated for 10 seconds, then disappears for 5 seconds. Rinse and repeat. This phone was purchased some time in 2016. It has recently been updated, but not sure if it is exactly up-to-date with the iOS but if not it shouldn't be more than 1 or 2 versions behind. I've tried holding the volume down & power button. Is there anything else I can try? I really don't want to lose everything off my iPhone and I have never backed it up. [link] [comments]  |

I woke up this morning and notifications showed i had about 40 new emails. but when i opened the mail app, the email at the top of the list was one from late last night. i dragged down to refresh but it said up to date. i went back to the home screen, dragged down the notifications pane and tapped the mail notification and it brought me to the new mail. i tapped back and now the inbox had all 40 of the new emails. i only have one mail account configured. any ideas? | Posted: 14 May 2020 08:48 AM PDT I'm trying to share a calendar with someone else, but when I add them to a calendar it doesn't send the invite to them. On my side it still shows the invite as pending but they never receive it. How do I fix this? I have an iPhone 11 and they have an iPhone 8, both are running the most recent operating system (iOS 13.4.1). I've tried turning on and off iCloud syncing on both devices, and setting iCloud calendars as the default. Both of our Apple ID's are gmail accounts and have used Google Calendar on our devices in the past. [link] [comments]  |
| IPhone 6S lock screen not going black Posted: 14 May 2020 02:38 AM PDT So I've found an issue where my phone normally if I leave it turns off (not restart or switch off but go to the black screen) but now ever since I get a notification my phone constantly has the lock screen unless I manually press the off button to make it go black.
