| iphone 11 stuck in a long boot loop? Posted: 14 May 2020 09:38 PM PDT my iphone 11 went into a boot loop, and i have tried everything to get it unstuck. force restart, dfu mode, recovery mode, nothing has worked and is constantly stuck in a boot loop. it does still die and that the only time its completely off, it does go to a black screen for a few seconds before the apple logo appears again. this has been occurring for about 18 hours so i swapped my sim card into my old 6s. if anyone knows a fix it would be greatly appreciated. | spilled coke on my macbook pro 2019 Posted: 14 May 2020 09:20 PM PDT spilled coke i spilled coke on my macbook pro 2019 and instantly i dried it up and tried to spray a cleaner on the keyboard to prevent sticky keys and as i was wiping the keys down they were working fine as a bunch of things were opening on my screen as the towel slid up and down the keyboard , but now the keys light up and everything works but i can't type anything , nothing will pop up... help [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 14 May 2020 09:20 PM PDT I want my files to be particular order in finder for that I'm using, 'sort by > name' But I tried renaming in many patterns but I'm not getting my desired order here is a screenshot of my finder window In this you can see order is shown by Mac is Episode 1 Episode 2 Episode 3.5 Episode 3.25 Episode 3.75 Episode 3 Episode 4 ______________________________________ But I want it in the following order Episode 1 Episode 2 Episode 3 Episode 3.25 Episode 3.5 Episode 3.75 Episode 4 In this you can see the order is shown by Mac is after all sub episodes of 3 and in suborder 3.5 always come before 3.25, Is there any way to customize this order of files? | i cant get photos to download to external drive Posted: 14 May 2020 09:11 PM PDT I have about 100k photos that i want to transfer from my icloud to my external harddrive and i cant seem to find a way to change my downloads location of the photos app to get it to download the pictures from icloud to the drive. | Can't restore iPad (Error Code 4010) Posted: 14 May 2020 08:59 PM PDT I'm trying to restore an iPad 2019 model after it was disabled and when I try to restore the iPad on iTunes (on my up-to-date Windows 10 PC) it says extracting software then it comes up with an error saying "The iPad "iPad" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (4010). And my iPad has a is stuck with a progress bar filled in at about 4% and an apple logo (Like it's being updated.) I'm not sure why it's doing this and I would be happy with any help I can get. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 14 May 2020 08:56 PM PDT Running an Apple TV 4 on the latest tvOS. I bought a direct subscription outta the States and have successfully been using it for years now. It went down the other day and my "connection" provided me with a replacement. Great, awesome. Only problem is I had to reinstall my TV provider and now it sees me in Canada no matter what I do. The Apple ID I'm using is American, region is set to US, not sure what I'm doing wrong. Like I said, I've had this setup for a long time and I'm not a n00b by any stretch. Anyone have any thoughts? | Need help purchasing a Mac Mini to use as a Time Machine Server Posted: 14 May 2020 05:04 PM PDT Mac Mini Server question So I'm looking to make a Time Machine server out of an older model Mac Mini I would like to purchase on eBay. Is there anything I need to look out for when it comes to configuration. I have an 8TB external I plan on hooking up to it and using that as the Time Machine destination. I also plan on partitioning the drive and making it so my girlfriends windows laptop can also back up to it (via a third party backup software I'll install on her computer). | Ipad and Iphone Seperate Call Lists Posted: 14 May 2020 08:49 PM PDT I want to be able to use my ipad (mini 4) to facetime call people using my iphone's (iphone x) phone number, but I do not want the call history from my ipad to show up on my iphone. What settings do I need to change in to do this? So far, I have unchecked "calls from iphone" and I am assuming I can keep my caller id on my ipad still as my phone number. [link] [comments]  |

| iPad thinks half-full storage is full? Posted: 14 May 2020 08:05 PM PDT I have an iPad Air 3, 64GB. I got a message that my storage was full earlier today. I deleted a few unused files (without checking settings) and didn't think much about it; however, I got another warning that my storage was almost full later on, despite the fact that, in settings, the storage management tab only shows 30.1GB of storage used. It's like the iPad thinks One strange thing I noticed is that if I plug my iPad into a computer, the sync window shows 74.77GB of "Documents & Data" on the system and no available storage on the breakdown graphic, but the description at the top of the window shows 34.05GB available. https://imgur.com/NA4A48a (A screenshot of the computer window, so you can see what I'm talking about). https://imgur.com/Yziw3jo (Screenshot of the storage tab on the device) I don't really know what to make of this. I would think that there are some cached files that the iPad isn't seeing, but the fact that the computer window shows these files taking up a space beyond the device's capacity is bizarre to me. | Volume changing by itself and buttons do not work. Posted: 14 May 2020 07:56 PM PDT Hello, About a month ago my volume buttons stopped working, I thought it was no big deal since I could change the volume from the control center. Now all of a sudden the volume on my phone changes by itself and I don't know why. At first it was lowering my volume all the way down and then eventually it stopped at of nowhere, a couple of days later it now changes my volume to max. I tried restarting my iPhone but it still continues to happen, I also tried backing up my phone and resetting the whole phone but it still happens. I have no case, so that can't be the problem. I'm not sure if it's a software or hardware problem. Any suggestions on attempting to fix this? | 2016 MBP stuck on 24:00 for internet recovery Posted: 14 May 2020 07:23 PM PDT I reset this macbook because I'm selling it and now it's been stuck at 24:00 in internet recovery with the spinning globe. My other devices connected to this internet are working just fine. I disconnected all of them to see if it would change and it didn't. Promised I would ship this out by tomorrow. | iPhone 7 can’t receive calls from other iPhones Posted: 14 May 2020 06:36 PM PDT I'm at my breaking point with this issue. It's been going on for months now and I can't figure out what's going on. I've noticed that every so often, people will attempt to call me, but my phone won't register having received one. If they don't leave a voicemail I have no way of knowing they even called. Today i lost a job interview because of it and got ahold of as many people as I could to test the issue. The only people that didn't have a problem with were people without iPhones, and I've noticed that every time I call someone with one my phone will sit on the calling screen for a good minute before ringing. It used to only occasionally happen but now it's every time. Any ideas? I have the latest iOS but this has been happening sporadically for months. TL;DR: iPhone 7 won't accept calls from other iPhones. Non apple devices work fine. Attempts to call other iPhones users results in delayed ringing. Used to happen on occasion but now it's constant.
