- I have a problem, I got water on my iPhone7 and the screen glitches out, the best way I can describe it is that there are two visible screens, one is normal and the other is slightly raised making it double up, it shakes up and down and there used to be white horizontal lines flickering around.

- I recently upgraded from an iPhone 7 to an iPhone 8 SE, but I can no longer hard press messages in the Notification Center to quick respond and I can’t hard press on the keyboard to move the cursor around, is there anyway to fix this?

| Posted: 08 May 2020 02:52 PM PDT Hey Reddit, I received a business phone which is a lot better than my personal phone, I would like to use it primarily while still keeping my personal phone on the side but without carrying it around. I was wondering if there's a way I can forward all calls/messages sent to my personal phone over to my business phone? And also would there be a way for my responses/history to be forwarded back to my personal phone as well if I responded from my business phone? In a sync kind of fashion, would this just be done via iCloud? Overall, this is more of functional thing and I'm just looking at my options to roll this out. Both phones are in a plan and I'm not sure my company will let me swap my personal number over or add a dual/e sim, so I'm limited to using an app to do this. | Setting up new iPhone 7 - data migration not working? Posted: 08 May 2020 08:20 PM PDT I have an old iPhone 7, has the Audio IC problem. Parents put in a claim for a new phone, and an AT&T Certified Renewed 7 showed up a few days later. Not too happy about that, but I'm certainly grateful I will at least have a working microphone again. I'm doing the quick start setup, I take the picture of the swirly dots and whatnot, enter my password. Although, it never gives me the option to migrate the data over to the new phone, just to download from iCloud or iTunes, move over from Android, or to not transfer at all. Now, I'm thinking maybe the reason it's not giving me the option to just magic all of my data over is potentially because the new phone has an older version of IOS? I'm just curious if there's any other way to troubleshoot this, or potentially to update the new phone and then transfer the data afterwards. [link] [comments]  |

| Cracked screen and damaged antennas Posted: 08 May 2020 12:37 PM PDT I dropped my iPhone 6 and it cracked the screen in the lower right corner. The screen is otherwise fine and it hasn't affected my use except: Since then, and I think related, the bluetooth as been a bit patchy and works only at short range, and google maps seems to get lost and can't keep up when I am driving. I am assuming antennas have been damaged. Are the antennas in the glass and will replacing the screen fix the problems or do I need to replace the phone to solve these issues? [link] [comments]  |
| Clicked suspicious link, now having issues. Virus, malware, or what? Posted: 08 May 2020 03:12 PM PDT I clicked on a suspicious link (twice) through Facebook because I didn't realize that it was suspicious the first time. The page loaded both times but didn't prompt me to enter any info/download anything, etc. While reading through the comments of the post afterwards people were saying not to fall for it because it was a scam. From memory, I believe there was another link on the page itself to click to go further into the website, which I didn't do. I didn't enter any personal formation either. I closed out of the page and cleared my data/history and cache that same night I think. Now, since this happened I've noticed several changes within my iPhone settings that I of course never changed. Here is a list: -Low power mode turned off by itself while using the phone (not while being charged like it normally would) -Mail settings turned on fetch data by itself -Imsg settings changed to also receive through email instead of only my phone number -Facebook and camera "audio" usages seen in my battery usage setting while not using the apps at those times -Calendar app also shown in battery usage when I never opened it -Keyboard had a foreign language added on its own that wasn't there before -2 of my apps have been crashing and glitching, ones I've already had downloaded on my phone -Touch ID stopped working on its own overnight, had to hard reset and it fixed itself And more I cant remember. I haven't factory reset or backed up my phone. I don't have any new profiles or different log ins added to my account. I recently updated to new IOS but most of these problems started before the update and some after, but ALL happened after I clicked on that link. So my question is: was this some type of attack on my phone by clicking the link? None of these changes or issues started happening until after I clicked on it. Should I be concerned? I don't feel safe entering sensitive info into my phone. What else can be done to check if I have a threat in my phone? What could have caused all these settings and usages to "change" on their own? You can't ask permission because you have signed in with iCloud and iTunes accounts that are not associated with each other" I did sign in to a friends Apple ID account recently not sure if it has anything to do with this tho.. | Posted: 08 May 2020 09:36 AM PDT I bought the phone second hand about 2 months ago (in the uk) and the WiFi was working fine after about a month it wouldn't let me turn on the WiFi button and if it did it would work for about 5 mins and then would go into a loop of shutting down and turning back on which would take about half an hour for it to stop I've tried resetting network settings which worked temporarily about 5-10 mins I've also tried resetting all settings which didn't work I've done 2 dfu resets but neither of them work and now nothing will work to turn WiFi on it works fine when using data it's only WiFi I can't go anywhere to get it fixed because of lockdown so Is there anything else I could do at home to fix it ?? We tried to record a video and the audio is ok but when calling we can hear only noises but no voice. We also tried to disable noise cancellation during calls. I look nothing like my dad and i have set up alternate appeareance in settings. This never happen until today. This is a serious issue since my dad's phone has a lot of confidential information. | IPhone SE 2020: Should I use a screen protector or not? Posted: 08 May 2020 01:45 AM PDT Hi guys, just found this sub and was thinking some of you might be able to help with my conundrum. I'm a student and recently got the new SE after saving up for a while and I absolutely love it so far. The only problem I've been having (and it seems to be a common problem) is that all the screen protectors that I've bought and tried that say they will fit the iPhone 8 / new SE leave huge air bubbles along the sides of the phone. I'm guessing that the SE screen must be more curved than the 8? Either way, it's a really annoying problem and I can't bear to use a protector with the big bubbles on the sides. I'm wondering whether I should just give up and not bother with a screen protector, or whether I should just keep trying different protectors until I find one that fits. Has anyone managed to find one so far that doesn't leave these air bubbles? If not, would it be reasonably safe to just put a bumper case on the phone and keep it in a phone pouch or sock or something when putting it in my bag? I am worried about breaking the screen since like I said, I'm a student and funds are tight. But at the same time it's proven so difficult to find one that fits and looks good, and the naked screen just feels and looks so much nicer than any of the protectors I've tried. Any advice?
